Abstract

1,003,457. Coin freed petrol dispensers. SCHEIDT & BACHMANN G.m.b.H. Jan. 14, 1964 [March 5, 1963], No. 1657/64. Heading G4V. The totalizer 7 of a coin-freed petrol pump is selectively connectable to register the value of deposited coins as indicated by the pulsing of contacts 9, 10, 11, or is connected to an attendant control device 12, whereby the totalizer may be set to register demand as indicated by pulsing of contacts 15, 16, 17, the demand being registered in terms of units of value (switch 14 made) or in terms of quantity (switch 13 made). Contacts 4 and 6 associated with the quantity and price indicating wheels of the pump, provide signals which are directed to the totalizer to reduce registered credit as petrol is dispensed.
