Shaped articles (fibres, filaments, film &c.) having high affinity for acid dyestuffs are produced by shaping a mixture of a polyolefin and a polymer containing S-triazine rings, e.g. the polymeric reaction products of a cyanuric halide with one or more monoamines and/or diamines. In examples the polymers containing S-triazine rings are obtained by: (1) reaction of cyanuric chloride and octadecylamine followed by further reaction with hexamethylene diamine to give a resin of softening point 73 DEG to 81 DEG C,; (2) reaction of cyanuric chloride, dinonylamine and hexamethylene diamine to give a resin of softening point 101 DEG to 130 DEG C.; and (3) reaction of cyanuric chloride and hexamethylene diamine.
