Abstract
1,002,066. Spinning apparatus. "TECHNOIMPEX" MAGYAR GEPIPARI KULKERESKEDELMI VALLALAT. Nov. 7, 1962 [Nov. 9,1961], No. 42054/62. Heading D1D. [Also in Division F2] In a twisting-frame, supply bobbins 3 Fig. 1 are arranged on spindles 4 the bottom parts of which are held without vibration in bores of a frame 2 which are filled with oil; yarn is guided from one of the bobbins over a pair of rollers of which one, 9, is driven; the spindles 26, Fig. 4 are arranged in groups, all the spindles in a group being driven by an endless tape 27 from a pulley 25 mounted on a main drive-shaft 24 and being tensioned by pulleys 31 on blocks 30 slidable on rails 32; and the lifting-motion for the ring-rail has a drum 49 Fig. 5 mounted on a lever oscillated by a cam 43 driven through the roller 9. At intervals along a shaft 1 is a series of stationary frames 2 each carrying a set of bobbins 3 comprising a pair at each side. Each bobbin is on the upper part of a shaft 4 with a disc 10 by which the bobbins in each set are driven from a disc 11 on the shaft 1. Each shaft 4 is mounted in a bearing 14 and a recess in the base of a sleeve 19 which is supported by springs 20, 22 in a bore in the frame. The bore is filled with oil. Each disc 10 is pressed into driving engagement with its disc 11 by a spring 18, Fig. 2A, between the bearing and a nut 17 screwed into the wall of the frame. A peg 16 has a conical end received in a bore in the nut and the other end threaded into the bearing-housing for adjusting the position of the shaft. The spindledrive is disengaged by moving the shaft in the direction of the arrow 18a with sufficient force to drive the peg into the bore in the nut and grip it there. The drive is re-engaged by pushing the shaft in the opposite direction. The receiving-bobbins are of the ring and traveller type and are arranged in groups of eight at each side of the frame all driven by the same endless tape 27, Fig. 4, from a pulley 25 on a common shaft 24, pulleys 28 turning the tape through a right angle. Tension pulleys 31 are arranged on blocks 30 sliding on rails 32. The blocks have hooks 33 by which a weighted cord running over a fixed pulley 36 can be attached to the block on the taut side of the tape. The other pulley being pulled forward until its block engages a stop. When the direction of drive is reversed the weighted cord is attached to the other block. The ring-rails 60, Fig. 5, are traversed by a pivoted lever 46 as a cam 43 is rotated by worm-wheels from the roller 9. To provide the gain, the lever carries a ratchetwheel 53 which is held by a pawl, not shown, from which it is freed as the lever 46 rises and brought into engagement with a second pawl 54 which thus advances the wheel, and through a worm-wheel 51, the winding-up drum 49. the yarn passes to the rollers 8, 9 by guides 6, 7 which with the receiving and delivery spindles are arranged in a vertical plane. The yarn is looped twice around roller 8; if the yarn breaks between roller 9 and the receiving- spindle its free-end is rewound on top-roller 8 and prevented from tangling with an adjacent yarn.
