Abstract

1,001,103. Transistor reactance circuits; transistor amplifier and oscillator circuits. ROTAX Ltd. Jan. 14, 1963 [Jan. 23, 1962], No. 2506/62. Headings H3R and H3T. [Also in Division H2] An A.C. input is applied directly to the collector of a transistor and through two R-C networks in cascade producing a 90 degrees phase lag to the transistor base so that across a resistor in the emitter circuit a 90 degrees phase shift is produced and to the input terminals a pure inductance is presented, when the transistor is biased to conduction. This may be used as part of a low frequency oscillator. Two transistors in series, connected emitter to base, may replace the single transistor to produce a more pure inductive input by a more exact 90 degrees phase shift.
