Abstract
1,104,928. Transistor frequency-changing circuits. 7 July, 1965 [9 July, 1964], No. 28891/65. Heading H3T. In a transistor frequency-changing circuit, the signal E1 is applied to the base via tuned transformer L1, and a second signal E2, e.g. local oscillations, via a coupling capacitor C5. The output is, according to the invention, taken from the emitter circuit by way of tuned I.F. transformer LO. The local oscillations may be self-generated by means of a tuned circuit in the collector circuit of the transistor, to which is coupled a secondary winding from which capacitor C5 is fed (Fig. 2, not shown).
