Abstract

The present invention relates to an intermediate light bracket fixing plate (18) intended to be installed integrally with a “DCL” lighting connection box (10) to easily, quickly and safely attach a light fixture base (3). The immobilization of the intermediate light bracket fixing plate (18) will be obtained without requiring the complete dismantling of the eyebolt hook (14). Description

Device for fixing a light base that does not require the removal of the piton hook.

The field of the present invention is that of the fixing of electrical or non-electrical equipment on a wall or a ceiling, and in particular that of the fixing of a luminaire on a recessed box sealed or anchored in a ceiling.

The installation of a luminaire on the ceiling of a dwelling generates difficulties and risks of accidents by electrocution for the occupants who are not necessarily experts in DIY or in electrical connections.

To simplify and secure this operation and thus make this installation accessible to all, a lighting connection device called "DCL" was designed and imposed since October 1, 2001 in France for all electrical renovations and new constructions (French standard NF C15-100).

The "DCL" light connection box (10), which has been mandatory since this date, has a means of fixing the mechanical suspension element of the light (19) by a so-called "eyebolt" hook (14) screwed and able to support a weight maximum of 25 kilograms. This is associated with a connection plug for the electrical conductors called the "DCL plug" (13) which will ensure the power supply to the luminaire after its connection to the terminal block (22) of the cover (12) of the "DCL" luminaire connection box » (10) on the one hand and to the light cable on the other hand (8). The means included in the "DCL" luminaire connection box (10) for mechanically fixing a suspension element consists of a tapped cylinder called the "chimney", fixedly installed in the center and inside the box. It is in this chimney that a piton hook (14) is screwed on which the luminaire will be suspended.

This principle of fixing by suspension by the cable (19) is only offered with certain models of luminaire, generally entry-level products.

The majority of ceiling lights, globes and suspensions are delivered with a fixing device comprising a metal support plate of suitable shape and dimensions, hereinafter referred to as the "pattern" (3). It is compatible with the ceiling rosette (7) of the luminaire which it receives by simply screwing in the side fixing screws (9).

Generally consisting of a pierced metal strip, the ends of which are bent at 90 degrees, the hook (3) has perforations (4) for the screws (6) intended for fixing it to the ceiling.

Threaded perforations (5) intended to receive the lateral screws (9) ensure the fixing of the peg (3) to the ceiling rose (7) final stage of the installation of the luminaire.

The use provides that the peg of the rosettes is fixed directly to the ceiling and generally by means of two fixing points (4), which involves drilling the ceiling in two places (1).

In general, the power supply cable of the luminaire (8) crosses the rosette (7) in the center. This implies that the central part of the mounting plate (3) must be completely free to allow free passage of the light cable (8). (see )

If the ceiling is equipped with a "DCL" light connection box (10), it is neither possible nor desirable to drill it. The dowellings must therefore be carried out next to the box. The result thus obtained will be particularly unsightly, in fact this assembly will not make it possible to cover and therefore to conceal the "DCL" light connection box (10) by the rosette of the light (7). In this context of use, the "DCL" light connection box (10) is experienced more as a constraint than an advantage that should facilitate the installation of the light.

These mounting brackets for luminaire rosettes are manufactured for a global market and are not adapted to the NFC 15-100 standard, which only concerns new French electrical installations or those restored since 2001.

There are two categories of "DCL" (10) luminaire connection boxes. One is intended for use on a drywall ceiling of the Placoplatre type (11) and whose eyebolt hook (14) measures for its penetrating part inserted in the box from 25 to 30 mm, the other is intended for mounting in the meadow. -slab or solid concrete ceiling slab which is deeper and whose piton hook (14) measures for its penetrating part inserted in the box from 85 to 160 mm.

All the piton hooks (14) used in the "DCL" lighting connection boxes (10) have after the threaded part and before the part provided for the suspension of a shoulder (20) which must come into abutment against the cover (12 ) of the "DCL" light connection box (10). It is this shoulder (20) which, with the screwing action, fixes the cover (12) and finalizes the assembly of the "DCL" light connection box (10).

We can estimate at 30% in 2020 the share of French households equipped with a "DCL" (10) lighting connection box (NFC15-100 standard), a proportion which increases by around two points every year with new constructions and electrical renovations. old buildings.

It is also necessary to integrate the fact that the person who will carry out the installation of a luminaire with peg, whether professional or not, will wish to preserve the technical characteristics and integrity of the "DCL" luminaire connection box (10). Indeed, a modification of the "DCL" (10) lighting connection box will be invoiced to a tenant as part of an inventory of fixtures when leaving the accommodation and a professional electrician cannot modify a standardized device such as the lighting connection box. "DCL" (10) without incurring any liability.

Certain inventors have devised means of simplifying the self-installation of a luminaire on a ceiling having a junction box, whether or not it is of the “DCL” luminaire junction box type (10).

We can cite the TURLIER patent published on 31/12/2010 under the number FR 2947326, which mentions a device fixed in the central chimney of the recessed box and which offers the luminaire peg two holes allowing to attach to the intermediate plate of the device. This device has the main drawback that it requires for its implementation the removal of the piton hook (14) of the connection box and the cover of the connection box (12).

We can cite the HESLOUIN patent published on 04/03/2011 under the number FR 2949535 which describes a device involving an intermediate plate secured to a central screw which will be fixed in the chimney of the flush-mounting box by rotation in instead of the piton hook (14), plate which will then be screwed to the light fitting (3) at two points using a tool. The main drawback of this device is that it requires the removal of the piton hook (14) from the "DCL" light connection box (10) for its implementation.

The state of the art also reveals the French patent MENGIN published on 09/16/2011 under the number FR 2957403 which describes a device using an intermediate piece which will be screwed into the central chimney of a flush-mounting box, to offer to the light base a support for fixing it by screwing on said intermediate piece. The main drawback of this device is that it requires the removal of the piton hook (14) from the "DCL" light connection box (10) for its implementation.

Or even the OTTAVIANO patent published on 22/01/2013 under the number FR 3001281, which offers a device similar to the HESLOUIN patent in its general principle but with the particularity of being fixed on the peg of the luminaire with a screw-on clamp principle butterfly and therefore without tools. The main drawback of this device is that it requires the removal of the piton hook (14) from the "DCL" light connection box (10) for its implementation.

These existing devices all provide answers to the problem of the mechanical fixing of a light base on a "DCL" light connection box (10), but due to their principles of implementation they will all have consequences in our opinion. unsuitable.

They all require the removal of the piton hook (14) from the "DCL" light connection box (10) to be replaced by a screw or a screw system which will be used to fix these devices. The removal of the piton hook (14) will have several problematic implications.

This removal entails the dismantling of the "DCL" light connection box (10) (the eyebolt hook (14) retaining the cover of the box which prevents access to the power supply cables). This operation is therefore in total contradiction with the safety objectives of French standard NF C15-100 which imposes the lighting connection box "DCL" (10) to eliminate contact with electrical cables and accidents by electrocution when installing lighting. a light fixture.

Removing the piton hook (14) and replacing it with a screw or a screw system specific to these existing devices will not always be possible, in fact depending on whether the "DCL" light connection box (10) is for drywall or for assembly on a pre-slab or solid concrete ceiling slab, the eyebolt hook (14) to be replaced will have different lengths (from 30 to 160 mm). The length of the hook cannot be identified with certainty without prior removal. The installer will therefore have to remove the piton hook (14), identify its size and then find the fixing system that would offer the correct length to replace it.

The removal of the piton hook (14) required when implementing the existing devices may cause damage to the "DCL" light connection box (10), in fact there is a risk that when removing the devices existing (during a move for example) the piton hook (14) originally in place is lost and therefore impossible to reuse thereafter to ensure proper restoration to original condition.

The present invention will meet the expectations of households equipped with the new NF C15-100 standard who wish to attach a light fitting (3) to a "DCL" light connection box (10) by improving the existing solutions on the functional level (be can be used on all "DCL" junction boxes (10) regardless of the length of the piton hook (14)), only on the essential level of safety (no removal or replacement of the piton hook (14) no opening of the "DCL" light connection box (10), no possible contact with the power supply cables and therefore no risk of electrocution).

In addition, the present invention will be economically very accessible and very easy to implement (fixing without tools).

The objective of the present invention is to propose a device for fixing a luminaire with bracket (3) on a "DCL" luminaire connection box (10) aimed at solving the problems of the devices known in the state of the art described above. .

The present invention aims to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art and to meet the constraints set out above. To do this, two embodiments will be proposed, one aimed at equipping the luminaires with a new "rosette fixing bracket" (17) adapted to the "DCL" luminaire connection boxes (10) of the French standard NF C15- 100, the other will be to propose an intermediate retaining piece (18) to make the mounting brackets (3) of the rosette (7) currently used with the luminaires in the case of installation on a luminaire connection box " DCL” (10) of standard NF C15-100.

Thus the present invention will be made usable, either directly with the luminaire purchased by the customer, or as a kit sold separately and available for all ceiling rose luminaires (7).

The invention relates to parts, suitable for mass production and inexpensive.

Unlike all existing or patented devices to date which, to avoid drilling the support ceiling, use an intermediate piece equipped with its own screw whose fixing to the "DCL" light connection box (10) is obtained by screwing and replacing it with the piton hook (14), the invention will keep said hook in place without ever unscrewing it entirely.

This solution is not obvious and it is observed that the person skilled in the art and the inventors always end up removing the piton hook (14) to apply their solutions or inventions. A person skilled in the art considers that the piton hook (14) represents an obstacle which he removes to bring the ceiling closer to a situation without a "DCL" light connection box (10) so as to be able to apply the original solution of fixing of the peg with drilling and doweling to the ceiling, and the inventors wish them to release the threaded chimney from the eyebolt hook (14) to screw their devices therein which always require the removal of the latter. It is the desire to keep the "DCL" light connection box (10) in its entirety which led the inventor to imagine a new solution for fixing the hook (3) which holds the hook in place without removing it. piton (14), thus retaining all the qualities of the "DCL" (10) luminaire connection box device of the French standard NF C15-100.

The new light fixture bracket (17) or the intermediate fixture bracket fixing plate (18) of the device of the invention is put in place manually and without dismantling the eyebolt fixing hook (14) of the fixture connection box "DCL (10). To do this they have (17/18) a cutout (21) which allows by using its shoulder (20) the passage, then the retention of the piton hook (14). The cutout (21) is divided into two parts of different sections, the wider allows the passage of the shoulder (20), the smaller the retention of the device (17 or 18) and the cover (12) to the light connection box "DCL" (10) after tightening the piton hook (14).

After unscrewing the hook (14) a few turns, the new light fixture bracket (17) or the intermediate fixture bracket fixing plate (18) will pass through the widest part of the cutout, then after sliding on the part narrower and in abutment of the cutout (21) the piton hook (14) will be screwed back on to fix the device (17/18) and the cover (12) to the "DCL" light connection box (10).

Thus we will obtain the fixing of the new luminaire bracket (17) or the intermediate plate for fixing the luminaire bracket (18) and therefore of the luminaire without even partially dismantling the "DCL" luminaire connection box (10).

In the case of the intermediate plate for fixing the light hook (18) it will be slid under the shoulder of the hook (20) to be fixed by trapping the light hook (3) when screwing the eyebolt hook (14 ). (see )

This operation is made possible by the type of piton hook (14) which is used in the “DCL” (10) light connection boxes of standard NF C15-100. Indeed, this piton hook (14) if it is to be used to suspend a maximum load of 25 kilos, must also retain and close the cover of the box (12). It is therefore provided after its threaded part and before its hook part with a shoulder (20) which serves as a stop for the cover (12) of the "DCL" light connection box (10) when it is tightened, this same shoulder ( 20) will advantageously serve as a stop to retain in the same way the new light fixture bracket (17) or the intermediate fixture bracket fixing plate (18) of the device of the invention.

As it is not necessary to remove the piton hook (14), any risk of contact with the power supply will advantageously be avoided and all the protections offered by the "DCL" (10) luminaire connection box of the standard will thus be retained. NF C15-100 regarding the risks of electrocution.

The new light fixture bracket (17) or the intermediate fixture bracket fixing plate (18) of the device of the invention is put in place manually and without dismantling the eyebolt fixing hook (14) to the light connection box " DCL" (10) leaving accessible on the cover (12) of said box, the terminal block (22) of the "DCL" connection plug (13). The distance between the fixing point of the piton hook (14) of a "DCL" light connection box (10) and the terminal block (22) of the "DCL" connection plug (13) being standardized, the stop will always be well placed regardless of the brand of the "DCL" connection box (10) to make the connection of the "DCL" plug (13) possible after the installation of the devices (17/18) of the invention.

The new light fixture bracket (17) or the intermediate fixture bracket fixing plate (18) of the invention are not retained by the eyebolt hook (14) to the "DCL" light connection box (10) on the same axis as that of the fixing screws (9) of the luminaire rosette (7) but at least 15 mm to the left or to the right of this axis, thus leaving the passage of the electrical supply cable (8) of the luminaire available which crosses the rosette (7) in its center.

The device using the intermediate piece for maintaining the luminaire bracket (18) between, on the one hand, a "DCL" luminaire connection box (10) and, on the other hand, a luminaire bracket (3), will be provided with stops (23 ) to overflow cover the peg (3) by at least 8/10th of a millimeter, on either side of the latter so as to guarantee its retention against the lid of the connection box (12) after screwing in the piton hook (14).
