Cosmetic article for dispensing at least one cosmetic composition

The present invention relates to a cosmetic article for dispensing at least one cosmetic composition and to a method for filling such an article with said at least one cosmetic composition.

Known from KR 101795273 is a cosmetic container which comprises a housing with a bottom and a side wall to form a reservoir of composition, the container also comprising a mesh net overhanging the surface of the composition housed inside the reservoir, in the form dome, the mesh net being attached to the outer circumferential surface of the side wall.

WO 2016/195340 describes a cosmetic article comprising a dome-shaped cosmetic composition with a height greater than the height of the edge of the container and a net structure covering the surface of the dome-shaped cosmetic composition and in close contact with the composition so as to maintain the dome-shaped composition.

KR 10-1842794 relates to a container for containing a cosmetic composition allowing a user to press with an applicator on a discharge element preventing the upper surface of composition from dripping and minimizing the remaining amount of composition. The container has an impregnating material impregnated with the composition and the dome-shaped discharging member provided on an upper surface of the impregnating member for discharging cosmetics by being pressed by an external force.

There is a need to benefit from other types of cosmetic container, with a dome-shaped collection surface, suitable in particular for packaging different compositions.

There is also a need to have a container that is easy to manufacture and to fill, and that allows an aesthetic presentation of the composition.

The subject of the present invention is thus, according to a first of its aspects, a cosmetic article for the distribution of at least one cosmetic composition, comprising:

- a housing comprising at least one housing containing at least a part of the composition and having at least one dispensing opening with a non-circular contour, and

- at least one sieve extending from the contour of said at least one opening upwards, forming a dome projecting with respect to said opening, at least before the first use, and through which said at least one composition is dispensed .

Thanks to the invention, one benefits from an article with a composition which does not flow, distributed through the dome-shaped sieve, and which presents in top view a shape given by the non-circular outline of the opening of distribution.

The housing may have a wall extending above said at least one housing, defining for example the contour of the dispensing opening.

The sieve can be fixed under the wall.

In this case, the screen may be forced to remain engaged through the dispensing opening by the thrust exerted by the composition. The screen is advantageously in close contact with the composition on the outer surface of which it rests.

Alternatively, the sieve is attached to the wall. The sieve can be attached to the edge of the dispensing opening.

The housing may comprise at least two housings separated by at least one partition which extends upwards at least partially through said dispensing opening, the upper end of the partition preferably being at least partly above said opening, the dispensing opening being common to all the housings.

In this case, the screen can be fixed, in particular by gluing or welding, to the upper end of said at least one partition. When the number of partitions is greater than one, the screen is preferably attached to a plurality of said partitions, preferably being attached to each partition.

The number of partitions is advantageously between one and ten.

In a particular embodiment, the number of partitions is equal to six, the contour of the dispensing opening being hexagonal, each housing having a substantially triangular shape, the partitions converging at a central point, preferably located at the center of the distribution opening. In this case, it is possible to have as many different compositions as housings, in particular of different colors, contained respectively in each of said housings.

The partition(s) can extend vertically when the box is placed on a table, for example.

The aforementioned wall preferably extends parallel to a flat surface on which the article is placed. Thus, said wall is preferably horizontal when the article rests on a flat horizontal surface. The wall can be connected, in particular by fixing or by molding material, to a peripheral upright, transverse to the wall, of the casing. Said wall can delimit the housing receiving the composition from the top, the maximum height of the composition preferably exceeding the height of the housing at least before the first use.

The dispensing opening is preferably horizontal.

When there are at least two housings separated by at least one partition, the article may comprise a single sieve common to said at least two housings.

The housing may also comprise at least two separate housings and as many distribution openings as there are housings, each housing emerging through a distribution opening which is specific to it. In this case, the sieve can be common to all the dispensing openings or there can be a separate sieve for each dispensing opening.

The housing may include at least one filling opening made in the bottom of said at least one housing to allow filling with the composition.

In this case, and according to a particular embodiment, the filling opening is in the form of a small-diameter orifice, to allow the filling of the housing by injection of the composition. Such an orifice may or may not have a circular outline.

Still in this case, but according to another particular embodiment, the filling opening occupies a major part of the bottom of said at least one housing.

In the case where a filling opening is present in the bottom of the housing, the article may comprise a shutter to cooperate with the housing in order to close this filling opening and possibly to form a piston in order to push the composition towards the sieve .

The case may also comprise a bottom separable from the rest of the housing to allow filling of the composition from the bottom, the bottom being put in place after filling.

In all these cases of filling from the bottom, the sieve can be used to limit the progress of the composition during filling, the composition coming into contact with a lower surface of the sieve and being able to deform the latter in order to form the dome.

As a variant, the composition can be deposited in the bottom of the housing, the screen being fixed after filling the housing.

Whatever the embodiment, the bottom of the housing may have a planar shape, a convex or concave shape.

The outline of said at least one dispensing opening is advantageously polygonal, in particular triangular, hexagonal or diamond-shaped.

Said at least one sieve can be fixed by welding, in particular by ultrasound, on the housing, in particular on said wall. The strainer may be fixed to the partition(s) extending into the distribution opening(s), when present.

The sieve is preferably made of an elastically deformable porous material, in particular a textile or a foam. The flexibility of the material of the sieve allows it to deform to form a dome, in particular under the pressure of the composition, for example during its filling if the filling is carried out from the bottom after fixing the sieve, or after depositing the composition in the housing if the sieve is fixed above the composition.

When the sieve is made of a textile, the latter can be a woven, a nonwoven or a knit, preferably a woven or a knit. The textile advantageously comprises a mesh of threads, the latter being in particular, or even exclusively, synthetic.

When the sieve is made of a foam, the latter may be an open-cell polymer foam, for example chosen from the group consisting of polyurethane foams, butadiene rubber (BR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) , natural rubber (NR), wet urethane, dry urethane, polyether, polyester, polyvinyl chloride, polyolefins including polyethylene, ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), latex, silicone, styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), silicone elastomer, nitrile rubber, butyl and neoprene rubber, thermoplastic elastomers.

The sieve may have undergone a treatment, with or without a roller, thermal or not, with or without the application of pressure, so as to create a relief and/or modify the surface appearance and/or the porosity properties of the sieve. Such processing may be stamping, embossing, calendering, or the like. It is possible, as a variant or additionally, to add, for example by gluing or printing, at least one element, in particular a swelling ink, on at least one surface of the sieve, so as to close off at least a part of the latter. It is also possible to make an impression on the surface, in particular the outer surface, of the sieve.

Said at least one composition is preferably pasty and can be chosen from the group consisting of a foundation, an eye shadow, a blusher, a lipstick. The composition may have such a viscosity that it is malleable.

The composition can impregnate, within the housing, a porous structure, in particular in the form of a dome. Alternatively, no porous structure is present in the housing.

The article may include a lid arranged to cooperate with the case so as to close the article, in particular in a sealed manner. The cover can be screwed onto an external thread of the housing and be completely removable, or be articulated on the housing and occupy at least one open position and one closed position, the closing being done for example by snap-fastening.

A further subject of the invention, independently or in combination with all or part of the foregoing, is a cosmetic article for dispensing at least one cosmetic composition, comprising:

- a housing comprising at least one housing containing at least part of the composition and having at least one dispensing opening, and

- at least one sieve extending from the contour of said at least one dispensing opening upwards, forming a dome projecting with respect to said opening, at least before the first use, and through which said at least one composition is distributed,

the housing comprising at least two housings separated by at least one partition which extends upwards at least partially through said dispensing opening.

According to this aspect, the contour of the dispensing opening may be circular.

Filling process

A further subject of the invention, according to another of its aspects, in combination with the above, is a process for filling a cosmetic article as defined above, with at least one cosmetic composition, comprising the following steps:

1. fixing said at least one sieve above said at least one housing,
2. filling said at least one housing with composition, in particular by passing the composition through at least one filling opening made in a bottom of said housing,
3. exert a thrust with the composition so as to force the sieve to pass through said at least one dispensing opening until a projecting dome is formed in the dispensing opening, the composition coming into contact with the sieve during filling.

The step of fixing said at least one sieve may consist in welding, in particular at high frequency or by ultrasound, said at least one sieve on the housing.

The method may also include a sealing step (d) consisting in sealing said at least one filling opening and comprising the placement of a shutter cooperating with the housing to seal the bottom of said at least one housing.

In this case, the shutter can form a piston in order to push the composition towards the sieve.

The method may also include the step of cutting out at least part of the sieve after step (a), to allow the sieve to laterally have the same shape as the contour of the dispensing opening.

detailed description

In the remainder of the description, identical elements or identical functions bear the same reference sign. For the purpose of conciseness of the present description, they are not described with regard to each of the figures, only the differences between the embodiments being able to be described.

There is illustrated in Figure 1 a cosmetic article 1 in accordance with the invention, intended for the distribution of at least one cosmetic composition.

Article 1 comprises a housing 2 comprising a housing 3 containing at least part of the cosmetic composition to be dispensed, not visible in this figure. Article 1 further comprises in this example a wall 4 extending parallel to a flat surface on which article 1 is placed, in this example horizontally when article 1 is placed on a horizontal surface. The wall 4 extends above the housing 3. The housing 2 has a dispensing opening 5 of non-circular contour 6, defined in this example by the wall 4. In the example illustrated, this contour 6 is polygonal, in particular hexagonal.

The article 1 further comprises a sieve 7 extending upwards from the contour 6 of the opening 5, forming a dome 8 projecting with respect to the wall 4, at least before the first use, as illustrated in the FIG. 1. The composition can be dispensed through the sieve 7, for example by exerting pressure with the finger or with an applicator on the visible surface 9 thereof.

In this example, the sieve 7 is fixed under the wall 4 by ultrasonic or high frequency type welding. As will be seen later, the sieve 7 is forced to pass through the dispensing opening 5 by the thrust exerted by the composition, in particular when filling the article 1.

The sieve 7 is made of an elastically deformable porous material, being in this example constituted by a textile.

The composition in the housing 3 comes into contact with the non-visible surface of the sieve 7, opposite the visible surface 9. In the example illustrated, the composition is pasty and forms a foundation. It has, for example, at a temperature of 20°C, a viscosity of between 95 and 220 Poise at t = 0, when measured using a RHEOMAT RM 180 viscometer equipped with a spindle n° 4, the measurement being carried out after 10 minutes of rotation of the mobile within the composition (time at the end of which a stabilization of the viscosity and of the speed of rotation of the mobile is observed), at a shear of 200 s ⁻¹ .

The housing 2 comprises an outer peripheral covering skirt 10, cylindrical in the example illustrated, comprising an externally threaded upper part 11 to cooperate with a cover, not visible in this figure but known in itself, in order to close the item 1 in a watertight manner. The cover advantageously comprises an internal thread corresponding to the thread of the upper part 11.

Of course, the cover can be fixed in another way, in particular by being articulated on the box 2. The box and the cover then have complementary adapted shapes.

In the example illustrated in Figure 1, the article 1 comprises a single housing 3 and the contour 6 is hexagonal in shape.

In Figure 2, the housing 2 comprises two separate housings 3 and two corresponding distribution openings 5, each defined by a diamond-shaped outline 6, the distribution openings 5 being identical and arranged symmetrically with respect to a median plane for item 1.

The same composition can be present in each of the housings 3. Alternatively, each housing is filled with a composition that is specific to it.

There is shown in Figure 3 another example of article 1 with a housing 2 which is similar to that of Figure 1.

However, as can be seen in Figure 3, a plurality of partitions 12, six in number in this example, extend upwards transversely to the wall 4, in the distribution opening 5, and separate six housings 3 two by two. These housings 3 contain six different compositions, the compositions differing from each other at least in color. The partitions 12 protrude above the wall 4. The distribution opening 5 is common to all the housings 3.

The partitions 12 converge in this example at a central point 13 which forms the top of the dome 8. This central point 13 is located in this example at the center of the distribution opening 5 so as to have a symmetry of the distribution of the partitions around of a vertical axis passing through the central point 13. In this example, the sieve 7 is unique and common to all the housings 3. The sieve 7 is for example formed by a foam, in particular a polyurethane foam.

The present invention also covers, according to one of its aspects, the embodiment of FIG. 3 with an outline 6 of the dispensing opening 5 which would be circular and non-polygonal and would have the same partitions 12 or at least one partition 12 separating two housings 3. This latter embodiment has been shown in FIG. 17, the housing 2 defining two housings 3 separated by a partition 12. The outline 6 of the dispensing opening 5 is circular.

We will now, with reference to Figures 4 to 8, describe an example of a process for filling an article 1 such as that of Figure 3.

The article 1 comprises, as can be seen in FIG. 4, within the casing 2, an externally threaded skirt 15 of substantially cylindrical shape externally surrounding the wall 4, perpendicular to the latter. The article 1 comprises, formed by molding polymer material with the wall 4, a plurality of housings 3 of substantially triangular shape, six in number in this example, delimited two by two by the partitions 12.

The bottom 16 of each housing 3 is occupied by a filling opening 17, circular in this example and occupying a large part of the bottom 16 of the housing 3.

The sieve 7, formed of a foam disc in this example, is separated from the housing 2.

In a first step, the method of filling the article 1 consists in fixing the sieve 7 above the housings 3. This fixing can be done by welding or gluing, for example. In the example illustrated, the screen 7 is fixed by welding to the upper ends 18 of the partitions 12.

In this example, the shape of the dome 8 visible in FIGS. 3 and 5 for example is given by the shape of the partitions 12 and in particular of the upper edge 18 thereof.

The sieve 7 is if necessary cut to have a suitable shape with respect to the rest of the article 1.

In a step illustrated in FIG. 6, the housings 3 are filled with composition, through the bottom 16, by causing the composition to pass through the filling openings 17. The filling takes place in the direction indicated by the arrows. The compositions C ₁ , C ₂ , C ₃ , C ₄ , C ₅ and C ₆ are eye shadows of different colors.

After filling the housings 3 with the compositions, a shutter 20 is fixed to the housing 2. In the example illustrated, the shutter 20 and all the filling openings 17 form a plate 21 bordered by a cylindrical skirt 22 extending vertically , coming to cooperate by force or by snap-fastening with the inner surface of the skirt 15. The plate 21 is provided with bosses 23, the number of which is equal to the number of openings 17, six in this example, arranged to form pistons and push the compositions C contained in the housings 3 against the non-visible inner surface of the sieve 7.

This makes it possible to obtain the dome 8 illustrated in figure 8, and then the article 1 as it appears in figure 3, when the outer covering formed by the skirt 10 is screwed onto the skirt 22.

In FIG. 9, another embodiment of article 1 has been shown comprising not large-diameter filling openings 17 but filling openings 17 in the form of small-diameter orifices into which composition C is injected. by the bottom 16 so as to penetrate into the housings 3 until exerting a thrust on the sieve 7.

It is not beyond the scope of the invention if the filling of the housing or housings 3 is done not by the bottom 16 but by the top, in which case the sieve 7 is attached after filling the housings 3 with the composition C.

There are shown in Figures 10, 11 and 12 examples of fixing the sieve 7 on the housing 2. In the example of Figure 10, the sieve 7 is fixed under the wall 4, for example by gluing. In the example of figure 11, the sieve 7 is fixed on the wall 4. In the example of figure 12, there is no wall 4, the sieve 7 being fixed on the edge 25 defining the distribution opening 5, in another type of casing.

In the embodiment of Figures 13 and 14, the possibility has been shown of fixing, for example by gluing, the sieve 7 on the ends or upper edges 18 of the partitions 12 separating the housings 3 and also on the edge 25 of the dispensing opening 5. In this embodiment, the filling can be done through the bottom 16 via orifices in which case the sieve 7 is fixed before filling with the composition of the housings. As a variant, the filling can be done from above, the sieve 7 then being attached to the partitions 12 after filling with the composition.

In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 15, a cross-section is shown of the filling from the bottom by injection of the composition through the filling openings 17. The sieve is fixed to the edge 25 of the dispensing opening 5, in the absence of a wall 4.

In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 16, the filling is seen in section through the bottom which is at the top with the sieve fixed at the bottom beforehand on the wall 4. The box 2 is turned over for filling, as illustrated in this figure, then the case is turned over again once the housings have been filled with composition and a shutter fixed to the filling openings 17.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the examples which have just been described. In particular, the article 1 can comprise a distinct and separate obturator 20 to obturate each filling opening 17.

Claims (25)

Cosmetic article (1) for dispensing at least one cosmetic composition (C), comprising:
- a housing (2) comprising at least one housing (3) containing at least a part of the composition (C) and having at least one dispensing opening (5) with a non-circular outline (6), and
- at least one sieve (7) extending from the contour (6) of said at least one dispensing opening (5) upwards, forming a dome (8) projecting with respect to said opening (5), at the least before the first use, and through which said at least one composition (C) is distributed. Article according to Claim 1, in which the casing has a wall (4) extending above the said at least one housing (3), defining for example the outline (6) of the dispensing opening (5). Article (1) according to claim 2, wherein the screen (7) is fixed under the wall (2). Article (1) according to claim 3, wherein the screen (7) is forced to remain engaged through the dispensing opening (5) by the thrust exerted by the composition (C). Article (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the housing (2) comprises at least two housings (3) separated by at least one partition (12) which extends upwards at least partially through said dispensing opening (5), the upper end (18) of the partition (12), preferably lying at least partly above said opening (5), the dispensing opening (5) being common to all dwellings (3). Article (1) according to claim 5, in which the screen (7) is fixed, in particular by gluing or welding, to the upper end (18) of the said at least one partition (12). Article (1) according to claim 5 or 6, in which the number of partitions (12) is between one and ten. Article (1) according to claim 7, the number of partitions (12) being equal to six, the outline (6) of the dispensing opening (5) being hexagonal, each housing (3) having a substantially triangular shape, the partitions (12) converging at a central point (13), preferably located at the center of the dispensing opening (5). Article (1) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said wall (4) extends parallel to a flat surface on which the article (1) is laid. Article (1) according to claim 5 and possibly any one of the preceding claims, comprising a single screen (7) common to said at least two housings (3). Article (1) according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, the casing (2) comprising at least two separate housings (3) and as many of the said dispensing openings (5), each housing (3) having one of the said dispensing openings (5) of its own. Article (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, the casing (2) comprising at least one filling opening (17) made in a bottom (16) of said at least one housing (3) to allow filling with the composition . Article (1) according to claim 12, the filling opening (17) being in the form of a small diameter orifice, to allow the filling of the housing (3) by injection of composition. Article (1) according to claim 12, the filling opening (17) occupying a major part of the bottom of said at least one housing (3). Article (1) according to any one of claims 12 to 14, comprising a shutter (20) for cooperating with the casing (2) in order to shut off the filling opening (17) of the bottom (16) of said at least one housing (3) and possibly to form a piston in order to push the composition towards the sieve (7). Article (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the outline (6) of the said at least one dispensing opening (5) is polygonal, in particular triangular, hexagonal or diamond-shaped. Article (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the said at least one sieve (7) is fixed by welding, in particular by ultrasound, to the casing (2). Article (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the screen (7) is made of an elastically deformable porous material, in particular a textile or a foam. Article (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, the said at least one composition (C) being pasty and being chosen from the group consisting of a foundation, an eye shadow, a blusher, a lipstick . Cosmetic article (1) for dispensing at least one cosmetic composition (C), comprising:
- a housing (2) comprising at least one housing (3) containing at least a part of the composition (C) and having at least one dispensing opening (5), and
- at least one sieve (7) extending from the contour (6) of said at least one dispensing opening (5) upwards, forming a dome (8) projecting with respect to said opening (5), at the least before the first use, and through which said at least one composition (C) is distributed,
the housing (2) comprising at least two housings (3) separated by at least one partition (12) which extends upwards at least partially through said dispensing opening (5). Process for filling a cosmetic article (1) according to any one of the preceding claims with at least one cosmetic composition (C), comprising the following steps:

1. fixing said at least one sieve (7) above said at least one housing (3),
2. filling said at least one housing (3) with composition (C) by passing the composition (C) through at least one filling opening (17) made in a bottom (16) of said housing (3),
3. push with the composition (C) so as to force the sieve (7) to pass through said at least one dispensing opening (5) until a dome (8) projecting into the dispensing opening ( 5), the composition (C; C ₁ , C ₂ , C ₃ , C ₄ , C ₅ , C ₆ ) coming into contact with the sieve (7) during filling.

Method according to the preceding claim, the step of fixing said at least one sieve (7) consisting in welding said at least one sieve (7) to the casing (2). Method according to claim 21 or 22, comprising a sealing step (d) consisting in sealing the said at least one filling opening (17) and comprising the positioning of a shutter (20) cooperating with the housing (2) to seal the bottom (16) of said at least one housing (3). A method according to claim 23, wherein the shutter (20) forms a piston to push the composition towards the sieve (7). Method according to any one of claims 21 to 24, comprising the step of cutting at least a part of the sieve (7) after step (a), to allow the sieve (7) to present laterally the same shape as the contour (6) of the dispensing opening (5).
