MULTI-PURPOSE PROFILE, VENTILATION HATCH AND SHELTER FOR PLEASURE POOLS EQUIPPED WITH SUCH A PROFILE

FIELD OF APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to the field of swimming pool enclosures and in particular to the profiles used to frame the filling panels of said enclosures.

DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART

Shelters for ornamental ponds conventionally comprise a plurality of roofing elements formed of a frame of sections supporting one or more roofing panels for the purpose of protecting the pond. These elements can be of the same or different sizes depending on the desired aesthetics or the opening mode.

Roof panels are available in a variety of materials such as:

– honeycomb polycarbonate,

– non-dimpled thin polycarbonate,

– synthetic fabric.

Each material requires a different fixing in the profiles constituting the framework and/or a different profile.

Indeed, different polycarbonates have different thicknesses. In addition, the edge of a textile panel includes a fixing rod.

So far it has been necessary to design, produce and stock different profiles depending on the material to be supported or framed by the frame forming the shelter.

The roof elements forming the ends of the shelter have a closed face forming a pediment.

This pediment is formed by an independent panel or not.

In certain situations, it assumes the ventilation function of the shelter.

To do this, the entire pediment is sometimes made up of a frame framing a textile panel. It can also be detachable or accommodate a hatch to ensure the required ventilation by opening it.

This hatch is then in the form of a fixed frame integrated into the panel forming the pediment and relative to which pivots a movable frame of a panel which, depending on the desired aesthetic and/or functional choice, can be of the same material or of a material different from that constituting the rest of the panel.

It thus appears that depending on the material chosen, the movable frame is made up of different sections to accommodate the edges of said material. In addition, the possible presence of hinge elements visible from the outside is likely to affect the aesthetics of the shelter.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Based on this state of affairs and pre-established specifications, the applicant conducted research aimed at avoiding the use in enclosures for ornamental ponds of a different profile depending on the material to be accommodated.

Another objective of this research is to propose a common panel frame regardless of the material of the panel in the context of an ventilation hatch.

Another objective of this research is to propose a common panel frame regardless of the material of the element panel forming the pediment in which the ventilation hatch is integrated.

Another objective of this research is to propose a compatible solution on old swimming pool enclosure installations.

This research led to the design and production of a multi-purpose profile for an ornamental pond shelter, the shelter being of the type comprising profiles or sets of profiles forming a support or framing structure. to panels of material to form the walls of the shelter, remarkable in that it comprises a hollow core comprising a plurality of receiving grooves with different depths and widths which accommodate panels according to the choice of the user with different sizes and thicknesses.

This characteristic is particularly advantageous in that it allows, by playing on different depths of grooves, the reception of panels of different thicknesses. These grooves are communicating but have a different width and depth, being the widest and shallowest at the entry to the profile and narrower and deeper at the bottom of the profile.

A single profile is necessary for the plurality of panel materials that conventionally form the walls of a shelter.

According to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, the multi-purpose profile comprises two half-profiles fitting one into the other to form said hollow core. It is thus easier to manufacture. In addition, the pinching of the flexible material panels is also facilitated.

According to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, the supported or framed panels are made in particular of one of the following materials:

– synthetic fabric,

– thin polycarbonate,

– honeycomb polycarbonate.

Of course, other materials are possible as long as the maximum thickness defined by the width of the widest groove is not exceeded.

To accommodate these three materials, according to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, a first half-profile adopts, from its internal edge, the profile of an ascending staircase with three steps which once forms the second nested half-profile, three different reception areas by offering three different spacings and depths.

In addition, the first half-profile comprises at the level of the highest step forming the deepest groove a projection which participates in the retention of a textile panel equipped with a peripheral retaining ring, the projection in front of which is positioned opposite a preformed projection in the complementary half-profile to create a retaining surface for said bead.

To use a single profile (here composed of two half-profiles fitting one inside the other), the invention requires that the supported or framed panels have different dimensions depending on their material for the same frame dimension.

This versatile profile has been designed in particular to form the frame of a panel or sub-frame which is housed in the frame of a pivoting leaf of an ventilation hatch housed in a wall of the shelter. This hatch is another object of the invention as well as the shelter accommodating such a hatch.

According to a preferred embodiment, the wall of the shelter accommodating the hatch is a wall of an element forming a pediment.

According to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, the frame of the hatch leaf comprises a receiving groove for the sub-frame formed from the multi-purpose profile, said sub-frame formed from the multi-purpose profile sliding into said groove, said frame from the trap door being open or openable.

According to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, the frame of the hatch leaf comprises an open or openable frame provided with a receiving groove for a sub-frame formed from the multi-purpose profile.

The frame made of the versatile profile slides into the receiving groove, which makes it easier to replace depending on whether you want the panel to allow air to pass through or not.

According to a preferred embodiment, said multi-purpose profile is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride). According to another preferred embodiment, the whole of the fixed and mobile frame of the hatch is made of PVC.

According to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, the first half-profile comprises, at the level of the shallowest and widest first step, a groove for receiving a gasket, the size of which is selected to adapt to the thickness of the panel accommodated.

According to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, the pivot connection between the hatch leaf and the structure of the element in the wall of which it is integrated, is implemented by a hinge composed of a fixed plate and a movable arm disposed on the inner face of the element. This hinge is therefore invisible from the outside.

In addition, the shape of the arm adopts a curve that is advantageously defined to allow the hatch to be opened slightly outwards and to constitute a rotation limit stop to maintain said hatch in the ajar position.

According to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, the pivot connection between the hatch leaf and the frame of the element in the wall of which it is integrated is implemented by a hinge whose shaft adopts a cutout which allows depending on the position of the hatch to make it unhinged in order to allow its guidance in rotation and its unhinging.

The fundamental concepts of the invention having just been explained above in their most elementary form, other details and characteristics will emerge more clearly on reading the description which follows and with regard to the appended drawings, giving by way of illustration non-limiting example, an embodiment of a shelter for ornamental pond and a multi-purpose profile according to the invention.

DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

As illustrated in the drawing of Figure 1, the shelter referenced A as a whole is a low shelter with pull-out structure composed of a plurality of roof elements fitting into each other in the folded position so as to give access to an ornamental pond (not shown).

As illustrated in the drawing of Figure 2, the roof element 100 located at one end of the shelter A conforms a closed face forming a pediment wall. This closing pediment wall consists of an independent vertical element 200 which is fixed to the roof element 100.

This independent element 200 comprises a structure of peripheral profiles 210 framing a panel 220 of filling conventionally of the same material as the filling panel constituting the roof of the roofing elements such as element 100.

For ventilation purposes of the shelter, the central part of this independent element 200 is provided with an opening controlled by a ventilation hatch 300.

This ventilation hatch 300 pivots relative to a fixed frame formed of horizontal sections 211 and 212 and vertical sections 213 and 214 which form or are integral with the reinforcement of peripheral sections 210.

The hatch 300 pivots from a closed position illustrated by FIG. 2 to an open ventilation position illustrated by FIG. 3. A handle 301 makes it possible to control this opening by the user of shelter A.

The opening is formed of a frame 310 supporting a hatch filler panel 320.

In accordance with the invention, the sections forming this frame 310 for supporting the hatch filler panel are designed to be versatile so as to be able to accommodate the edges of a hatch filler panel consisting of:

– textiles (see figure 4), or

– thin polycarbonate (see figure 5), or

– honeycomb polycarbonate (see figure 6).

To this end, as illustrated in Figures 4, 5 and 6, the frame 310 of the sash comprises a profile 330 forming a first sub-frame cooperating on its outer periphery with the fixed frame by partly covering the edge of the latter. for support purposes and internally welcoming the edges of the hatch filler panel 320. This peripheral profile 330 comprises a rectangular profile 331 on an outer side of which projects a flat profile for the purpose of covering the fixed frame. On the opposite side, therefore internal, two flat profiles 333 and 334 project, the spacing of which forms a reception groove 335.

This receiving groove is present over the entire internal periphery of the profile 330 and accommodates a second sub-frame 340 which constitutes the multi-purpose profile and which provides the connection between the groove 335 and the edges of the hatch filler panel 320. The ribs proposed allow the second sub-frame 340 to slide into the groove of the first sub-frame 330.

This second sub-frame 340 is made up of two half-profiles 350 and 360 fitting one into the other to pinch and/or retain the edge of the hatch filler panel 320.

The profile 350 adopts from its internal edge the profile of a staircase rising with three steps 351, 352, 353 which, once the profile 360 is fitted, forms three different reception areas by offering three different spacings and depths.

These reception areas are dedicated to a panel of different thickness. Thus, the dimensions (in addition to the thickness) of panels of different materials are different to allow the reception of their peripheral edge in the different reception areas proposed in the sub-frame 340. As illustrated, the panel 320a of textile (see Figure 4) is larger than the thin polycarbonate panel 320b (see Figure 5) which is larger than the honeycomb polycarbonate panel 320c (see Figure 6).

We understand that from the moment the dimensions are respected, it is quite possible to accommodate panels of other materials than those listed above.

As illustrated, the profile 350 comprises at the level of the first step 351 a reception groove 354 of a joint 355 whose size can be selected to adapt to the nature of the received panel.

According to the illustrated embodiment, a seal known under the name of "Q-lon" is used to come into contact and participate in the maintenance in position of the textile panels 320a and thin polycarbonate 320b. A less protruding seam 356 is used for the wider panel 320c.

The half-profile 350 further comprises at the level of the third step 353 a projection 357 which participates in retaining the textile panel 320a. Indeed, such a panel 320a is equipped with a peripheral retaining ring 321a which forms a peripheral bead. The projection 357 in front of which is positioned opposite a projection 361 preformed in the complementary half-profile 360 to create a retaining surface for said bead 321a.

The other steps 352 and 351 serve as bearing surfaces for the edges of the more rigid panels 320b and 320c opposite which the profile 360 also offers a projection 362 and 363 to pinch the edges of the panels.

As shown, double sided tape 364 is bonded into the inner surface of profile 360 between projections 362 and 363 to optimize panel retention.

The profiles 350 and 360 are also preformed with male and female shapes matching to allow them to fit together.

According to a preferred but non-limiting embodiment, the sections 330, 350 and 360 are made of plastic material and more particularly of PVC (polyvinyl chloride).

Figures 10 and 11 illustrate the opening of the frame 310' of the leaf sash 300'. Thus, as illustrated, the upper crosspiece 311' is removable and provides access to the grooves of the frame profile to hold or slide the hatch filler panel 320' into it. The interchangeability of the panels is facilitated by such a solution.

Figures 7, 8 and 9 illustrate embodiments of hinges 400 invisible from the outside allowing the hatch 300 to pivot.

According to the embodiment illustrated by Figures 7 and 8, the hinge comprises:

- a fixed plate 410 which is fixed to the inner surface of the profile 211 member of the fixed frame of the hatch 300,

a pivoting angled arm 420 with one end in pivot connection with the plate and another end fixed to the profile 330 (at its rectangular part 331 forming the movable frame 310 of the hatch 300.

The arm 420 is bent so that the rotation around its axis of rotation brings its second end and the frame 310 outwards while the base of the arm comes into abutment against the plate 410 and/or the fixed frame 211 so as to maintain the half-open position.

The embodiment illustrated by the drawing in Figure 9 differs from the previous one in that the hinge 400' has a plate 410' and an arm of larger dimensions which allow a greater amplitude of movement and therefore a more open half-open position.

These two hinge embodiments also provide a pivot connection between the hatch leaf and the frame of the element in the wall of which it is integrated, which is implemented by a hinge whose shaft adopts a cutout which allows, depending on the position of the hatch, to make it unhinged.

It is understood that the shelter, which has just been described and represented above, was for the purpose of disclosure rather than limitation. Of course, various arrangements, modifications and improvements may be made to the above example, without departing from the scope of the invention.

Thus, for example, although the illustrated embodiment shows the integration of a hatch in the pediment element of a low shelter, it is quite possible to integrate such a hatch or a hatch of different dimensions but adopting the same design in a facade of a high shelter.

Multi-purpose profile (340) for the shelter (A) of an ornamental pond, the shelter being of the type comprising profiles or sets of profiles forming a support or framing structure for panels of material to form the walls of the shelter, CHARACTERIZED BY THE FACT THAT it comprises a hollow core comprising a plurality of receiving grooves with different depths and widths which accommodate, according to the choice of the user, panels (320) having different dimensions and different thicknesses. Profile (340) according to claim 1, CHARACTERIZED BY THE FACT THAT it comprises two half-profiles (350, 360) fitting one inside the other to form said hollow core. Section (340) according to claim 2, CHARACTERIZED BY THE FACT THAT a half-section (350) adopts, from its internal edge, the profile of an ascending staircase with three steps (351, 352, 353) which once forms the second half-profile (360) nested, three different reception areas by offering three different spacings and depths.
