Definitions
- the present invention relates to a rolling curtain, in particular a transparent rolling curtain. More specifically, it relates to a rolling curtain of the type comprising an apron composed of horizontal blades hinged together and which winds on a shaft or upper horizontal drum, the edges of the hinged apron moving in lateral guides or slides.
- Such rolling curtains are generally called to be shaped and arranged to constitute shutters or similar closures, or partition walls, or portions of walls, or complete walls of certain premises.
- Such curtains allow the sight and passage of light from the inside to the outside and / or from the outside to the inside, even when the transparent rolling curtain is in the lowered position.
- the document FR-2945313 discloses a transparent security curtain composed of a plurality of flat horizontal transparent blades interconnected in an articulated manner. Each flat blade is formed of a plurality of modules abutted one after the other. It is further connected, in an articulated manner, to that which is immediately higher or lower through two different complementary junction profiles equipping the adjacent edges of two adjacent blades and interlocked into one another. Finally, a breakable locking tip is positioned at the end of each plate to stabilize the system.
- the document FR-2941989 discloses a roller shutter blade comprising a solid core, made of a transparent or translucent material, covered on a part of each of its two faces, by a coating consisting of an opaque material, this coating being placed on the rear face and on the anterior face of said core, so that an incident light beam can not cross said blade from one side without being stopped by at least one of the two coatings.
- Said blade has a generally curved cross section without any precision being provided on the interest of this provision.
- the rolling shutter blade has a curved outer surface and according to a preferred embodiment, the two surfaces of the core are concave. It is intended to vary the shape of the blade and in particular the shape of the soul according to the amount of light that the skilled person wishes to see transmitted through said blade. This is the unique function devolved to this Form.
- a safety transparent roller shutter consisting of a plurality of horizontal flat blades hinged together by means of hinges.
- the apron of this roller shutter can be wound on a drum.
- the winding obtained is irregular and requires a very bulky box for housing the rolled curtain.
- the means of joining articulated blades together seriously complicate the replacement of one or more thereof when necessary.
- a transparent rolling shutter consisting of separate rolling shutter blades, connected together in a manner resistant to traction, made of a transparent plastics, which can be wound on a winding shaft and connected to each other with the interposition of curved coupling profiles, the latter being provided on their longitudinal edges with receiving grooves stop heads that have the horizontal edges of the shutter blades. Said heads can be introduced into the receiving grooves of the coupling profiles and are held there with the possibility of pivoting.
- the document GB-2,120,306 discloses a rolling protection grid formed of a series of transparent blades made in one piece and extending horizontally and metal rods pivotally connected to one another by means of ribs preferably circularly extending along the upper and lower edges of each blade, which are received within the sleeves formed in the metal of the rods.
- the main disadvantage of the blades made in one piece is that they have a low impact resistance, making the transparent curtain very fragile.
- the method of manufacturing, transporting and mounting such blades, which generally have long lengths (of the order of 2 to 7 meters) is complex and expensive.
- the document EP-0445064 discloses a safety grid comprising several parallel rows of profiles, between each section is a plurality of elements made of transparent plastic material, and preferably polycarbonate, these elements being separated by intermediate reinforcing elements made for example of aluminum.
- the grid comprising a plurality of polycarbonate elements, the reinforcing elements being made of aluminum, they are therefore opaque which alters the transparency of the grid, particularly in the embodiment where the aluminum elements have the same dimension as the polycarbonate elements.
- the document FR-2955885 describes a rolling shutter element consisting of an assembly of rows of modules where each module is of generally rectangular shape and whose long sides are parallel to the winding axis of said shutter and where the modules of the same row are connected between them by means of a bar or tube of circular section passing in hinges which are provided with said long sides.
- two adjacent modules are contiguous at their small sides and one of the short sides of a module is provided with a lip overlapping the short side of the adjacent module.
- the assembled ends with single overlap or by hooking are complex and not very compatible with a transparent curtain since they create extra thicknesses and vertical zones of non transparency preventing a perfect visibility and forming unsightly darkened surfaces and which, moreover, have the disadvantage of not offering a complete hermeticity to the air, the water, the hot and the cold.
- the document US 6263943 discloses a modular roller shutter for shop doors and showcases, consisting of a plurality of rows of blades. Each blade is bonded by means of loops to a lower blade and an upper blade, allowing limited movement of the blades and loops so that the modular roller shutter can be rolled up and unrolled.
- Each blade may consist of a plurality of lamellae having reinforcements at their ends. In order to connect the adjacent lamellae, each reinforcement is provided with a coupler, the adjacent couplers having complementary forms of coupling allowing the interconnection of two adjacent lamellae.
- the present invention is intended in particular to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art.
- this object is achieved by means of a rolling curtain, in particular a transparent rolling curtain, of the type comprising a roll-up apron comprising a plurality of horizontal blades hinged together by means of joining profiles, said apron being winding on a shaft or upper horizontal drum and its lateral edges are mounted with a capacity of displacement in vertical guides or guides, this transparent rolling curtain being particularly remarkable in that each of said blades has a transverse profile of curved or curved shape, allowing a wrapping the apron around the shaft or winding drum and taking substantially the shape of said shaft or drum, the concavity of the blades being turned towards the shaft or winding drum when said apron is wound on the latter, and in this that each blade of the plurality of horizontal blades is made of two or more modules or parts of abutting blades and assembled by interlocking their ends.
- the invention makes it possible to house the winding of a shutter more than three meters high, around an axis having a diameter of 133 mm, in a trunk having a diameter of 300 mm.
- the abutment ends are respectively provided with a groove and a rib extending over the entire height of said abutment ends of the modules, said groove being nested in said rib.
- the groove and the rib have a triangular complementary profile.
- This method of assembly has the advantage of creating no extra thickness or deterioration of visibility in the connection areas, and to ensure excellent air tightness, water, heat and cold.
- the blades are assembled together by means of junction and articulation profiles whose opposite longitudinal edges comprise grooves. parallel in which are engaged, for example by sliding, the opposite edges of said blades and, according to an advantageous embodiment, these junction and articulation profiles have a curved transverse profile whose concavity is turned towards the shaft or drum winding when said apron is wound on said shaft or drum.
- the transparent rolling curtain is provided laterally with locking caps to prevent any lateral sliding or tearing of the blades and, according to a characteristic arrangement of the invention, these locking ends have a curved transverse profile whose concavity is turned towards the shaft or winding drum when said apron is wound on said shaft or drum.
- these locking ends comprise a shutter body applied against the ends of the joining profile, so as to close the inlet of the articulation grooves formed in said joining profile.
- This body is fixed by screwing by means of at least one screw and preferably by means of two screws screwing into cavities formed in the partition separating said grooves.
- the inner face of said locking ends has extra thicknesses engaged in the entry of the articulation grooves of the joining profiles, these extra thicknesses being shaped and sized to be able to be nested without significant play in said entries.
- the locking ends according to the invention facilitate the holding in position of the blades and disassembly if necessary, which allows significant time savings.
- the locking ends have an upper fin or cap.
- the body of the locking ends comprises, on its outer face, partially flanged lateral wings ensuring the maintenance of the apron in the guide rails, thus preventing peeling against pulling forces, for example in the case of strong winds generating such forces.
- the rolling shutter according to the invention also comprises at least one ring, and preferably a plurality of rings intended to be positioned on the winding shaft and comprising a fin overcoming a portion of the ring and disposed at a distance from the outer face of said ring, so that in curtain mounting situation, the fins of the rings cover the first joining profile to prevent the friction of the blades against each other during the the winding of the curtain and therefore the deterioration of the latter by the appearance of unsightly scratches on the transparent blades thus impairing the visibility through said flap and which would cause a fragility of said shutter.
- the transparent rolling curtain 1 to which the invention applies is of the type consisting of a roll-up apron 2 comprising a plurality of transparent horizontal blades 3 hinged together by means of articulation devices 9.
- This apron is wound on a shaft or horizontal drum 4, placed above said deck.
- the opposite vertical edges of this hinged apron move in lateral guides or slides 5.
- the shaft or winding drum 4 is housed in a box 6 placed above the deck.
- This box or the drive means for rotating the shaft or winding drum are not described, such devices, motorized or otherwise, being well known to those skilled in the art and not falling within the scope of the invention. of the present invention.
- each of said blades has a transverse profile of curved or curved shape whose concavity 7 is turned towards the shaft or winding drum 4, when the deck 2 is wound on the shaft or drum winding ( figure 30 ).
- the opposite longitudinal edges of the blades 3 are provided with rods assemblies and joints 12 of circular section. These rods of circular profile 12 are connected to the respective longitudinal edges of the plates by means of a bar 13 of low height. These rods 12 and the terminal strips 13 which constitute the upper and lower edges of the blades, are made in one piece with the blades 3 or the modules 3A, 3B, 3C ..., component these blades, during the realization by injection of said blades and / or modules.
- the lower part 1A of the apron 2 is constituted by a blade 8 different from the others, said "final" blade, which may have a flat transverse profile and a height greater than that of the blades 3.
- the lower edge of the final blade is provided with a flange 27 made of a material with elastic deformation capacity for example, rubber or a synthetic elastomer. This flange 27 is intended to dampen shocks during the lowering of the curtain and / or to seal when said curtain is in the lowered position.
- the blades 3 can be made of any material having the desired rigidity, strength and transparency. They may for example be made of polycarbonate by a suitable injection method known to those skilled in the art. Advantageously, they may be made of polycarbonate marketed under the trademarks "Lexan” or “Makrolon” which, in addition to a remarkable optical quality, offer good qualities of rigidity and mechanical strength.
- An anti-UV treatment may be applied in a manner known per se, by incorporation into the material constituting the plates prior to the injection process. This treatment makes it possible to avoid the application of an anti-UV varnish after making the plates as is usually the case.
- the blades 3 may have a relatively large height, for example of the order of 85 mm, much greater than that of traditional transparent roller shutter blades. They can have a thickness of the order of 4 mm giving them great strength while allowing a certain bending capacity and a shape memory by means of which the transparent rolling curtain according to the invention has a good resistance to shocks and attempts to 'break-ins. Said blades can be coated with a varnish for optimum resistance to friction and scratches.
- They can have excellent transparency qualities or be slightly tinted or not, or translucent, or opaque, or glitter.
- the blades 3 consist of several modules or parts 3A, 3B, 3C ..., abutments.
- the final lower blade 8 may be made of aluminum by any suitable extrusion process.
- the horizontal blades consisting of several modules or parts of blades 3A, 3B, 3C ..., abutments, may have lengths greater than 6 meters, and allow to realize rolling curtains of substantially identical lengths.
- the blades 3 are interconnected by means of a junction and articulation profile 9.
- these junction profiles are made of a material having the desired rigidity and robustness, for example, extruded aluminum.
- profiles 9 have an approximately rectangular rectangular profile and slightly curved or curved whose concavity 10 is turned towards the shaft or winding drum when said apron 2 is wound on said shaft or drum ( figure 30 ).
- junction profiles 9 are executed in one piece, the length corresponding to the length of the blades consist of several abutting modules. They comprise two opposite longitudinal grooves 11A and 11B, extending along their edges, along their entire length. These grooves 11A and 11B have a generally circular profile and are open to the outside.
- This opening consisting of a longitudinal slot 23, has a width less than the diameter of the rods or assembly rods 12 of the blades 3, so that said rods constituting the upper and lower edges of the blades can be slidably introduced into the grooves 11A and / or 11B joining profiles 9 and then being held in said grooves, with pivoting ability, by the re-entrant edges 23A, 23B delimiting said slot 23.
- the junction bar 13 abuts against one or other of the edges 23A and 23B of the slot 23, which limits the amplitude pivoting said blades.
- the blades 3 or the blade portions 3A, 3B, 3C ... themselves, have a step 13 'protruding from the convex surface of said blades 3 or parts of blades 3A, 3B, 3C ..., these longitudinal steps 13 'thus constitute stops limiting the pivoting of the latter with respect to junction profiles 9.
- a soundproofing gasket 14 in the form of C for example made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is housed in the grooves 11A and 11B.
- This seal interposed between the groove 23 and the rod 12, ensures a perfectly silent operation during opening or closing operations of the rolling shutter.
- the abutting modules or parts of blades 3A, 3B, 3C ... are assembled by interlocking.
- the opposite abutment ends of the modules are respectively provided with a groove 16 and a rib 17 extending over the entire height. said abutting ends.
- the groove 16 and the rib 17 have a triangular profile.
- the groove 16 has a V-shaped profile, while the rib 17 has a bevelled profile exactly nesting in said groove.
- the blades 3 are held in the joining and articulation profiles 9 by means of locking caps 15 preventing lateral sliding of said blades relative to said profiles.
- these locking ends 15 comprise a shutter body 18 applied against the ends 9A and 9B of the joining profiles 9 so as to close the inlet of the articulation grooves 11A and 11B formed in said profiles. junction.
- This body is fixed against the end 9A or 9B of the joining profiles 9, by screwing by means of at least one screw 19 and, preferably, by means of two self-drilling screws screwing into the holes 29 that the said endpiece and in cavities 20 formed in the partition 21 between said grooves 11A or 11B, parallel to the latter.
- These locking ends have an approximately rectangular rectangular profile and slightly curved whose concavity 28 is turned towards the shaft or drive drum 4, when the apron 2 is wound on said shaft or winding drum.
- the inner face of the locking ends has extra thicknesses or bosses 22 engaged in the inlet of the articulation grooves 11A and 11B of the joining profiles 9.
- These bosses 22 of generally cylindrical shape, are shaped and dimensioned to be nested without significant play in said entries. They allow to hold the locking caps 15 on the ends of the junction profiles 9 before fixing of the latter by means of self-drilling screws 19.
- the locking ends have an upper fin or cap 30 constituting a support of the transparent flap during the superposition of the windings so as to avoid the friction of the blades against each other during winding of the curtain and therefore the deterioration of the latter by the appearance of unsightly scratches on the transparent blades thus impairing the visibility through said flap and which would cause a fragility of said shutter.
- Locking caps 15 are, for example, made of PVC or any other suitable material.
- the upper part 1B of the apron 2 is constituted by a first blade 34 similar to the blades 3.
- the upper edge of the first blade is provided with at least one, and preferably several fixing plates 35 having a hole 36 for the passage a fixing screw 37.
- the rolling shutter according to the invention also comprises at least one ring 31 intended to be placed on the winding shaft 4.
- This ring consists of a ring of identical diameter, or approximately identical to that of the winding shaft or drum 4, comprising a slot 33 allowing its opening and its deformation by spacing the edges of said slot ( figure 25A ).
- This ring is further provided with a fin 32 overcoming a portion of the ring 31 and disposed at a distance from the outer face of said ring, so that in the curtain mounting situation, the fins (32) of the rings (31) cover the first joining profile (9) to to avoid the friction of the blades against each other during winding of the curtain and therefore the deterioration of the latter by the appearance of unsightly scratches on the transparent blades thus impairing the visibility through said shutter and which would cause a fragility of said shutter.

- Un fonctionnement bruyant lors des manoeuvres d'abaissement ou de remontée ;
- la nécessité d'avoir deux profilés de jonctions différents pour réaliser la liaison articulée des lames augmente les coûts de production et la difficulté d'installation ;
- les lames planes dont il est composé entrainent un enroulement du tablier sous une forme irrégulière et un volume important et, de ce fait, nécessitant un coffre très encombrant pour le logement du rideau enroulé ;
- Noisy operation during lowering or ascent maneuvers;
- the need to have two different junction profiles to achieve the articulated connection of the blades increases production costs and the difficulty of installation;
- the flat blades of which it is composed cause a winding of the deck in an irregular shape and a large volume and, therefore, requiring a very bulky trunk for the housing of the rolled curtain;
- the blades consist of abutting modules and are assembled together by superposition of their ends, which creates the formation of a large number of opaque areas unattractive and reducing visibility.
According to an embodiment of the invention described in this document, the rolling shutter blade has a curved outer surface and according to a preferred embodiment, the two surfaces of the core are concave. It is intended to vary the shape of the blade and in particular the shape of the soul according to the amount of light that the skilled person wishes to see transmitted through said blade. This is the unique function devolved to this Form.

The major disadvantage of this component is the complexity of its design, because it involves the use of several blades of different heights that then need to assemble in a rigorous order to obtain a polygonal winding.

The main disadvantage of the blades made in one piece is that they have a low impact resistance, making the transparent curtain very fragile. In addition, the method of manufacturing, transporting and mounting such blades, which generally have long lengths (of the order of 2 to 7 meters) is complex and expensive.
It is also known, especially when the hinged blades constituting the roll curtain apron have a relatively large length, to make each of these blades in two or more modules or parts of abutting blades.
According to this document, two adjacent modules are contiguous at their small sides and one of the short sides of a module is provided with a lip overlapping the short side of the adjacent module.
According to such a mode of abutment, the assembled ends with single overlap or by hooking are complex and not very compatible with a transparent curtain since they create extra thicknesses and vertical zones of non transparency preventing a perfect visibility and forming unsightly darkened surfaces and which, moreover, have the disadvantage of not offering a complete hermeticity to the air, the water, the hot and the cold.
However, these reinforcements create extra thicknesses and vertical zones of non-transparency preventing perfect visibility and forming unsightly darkened surfaces. In addition, the proposed couplers for rigid locking slats are complex, for example dovetail, or cylindrical recesses capable of cooperating with an insert, thus making the manufacture and assembly complex and expensive.
It is also known to prevent the lateral displacement of the blades in the grooves of the joint and assembly profiles, by means of plugs or end caps of various designs, located at the ends of said profiles. Systems using such locking tips are generally complex and poorly used.
The present invention is intended in particular to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art.
According to a first characteristic arrangement, this object is achieved by means of a rolling curtain, in particular a transparent rolling curtain, of the type comprising a roll-up apron comprising a plurality of horizontal blades hinged together by means of joining profiles, said apron being winding on a shaft or upper horizontal drum and its lateral edges are mounted with a capacity of displacement in vertical guides or guides, this transparent rolling curtain being particularly remarkable in that each of said blades has a transverse profile of curved or curved shape, allowing a wrapping the apron around the shaft or winding drum and taking substantially the shape of said shaft or drum, the concavity of the blades being turned towards the shaft or winding drum when said apron is wound on the latter, and in this that each blade of the plurality of horizontal blades is made of two or more modules or parts of abutting blades and assembled by interlocking their ends.
Thanks to this arrangement, it is possible to wind the apron in a box of reduced size, the winding obtained having a regular cylindrical shape.
A titre d'exemple, l'invention permet de loger l'enroulement d'un volet roulant de plus de trois mètres de haut, autour d'un axe comportant un diamètre de 133 mm, dans un coffre présentant un diamètre de 300 mm.By way of example, the invention makes it possible to house the winding of a shutter more than three meters high, around an axis having a diameter of 133 mm, in a trunk having a diameter of 300 mm.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the abutment ends are respectively provided with a groove and a rib extending over the entire height of said abutment ends of the modules, said groove being nested in said rib.
According to another embodiment, the groove and the rib, have a triangular complementary profile.
This method of assembly has the advantage of creating no extra thickness or deterioration of visibility in the connection areas, and to ensure excellent air tightness, water, heat and cold.
In a manner known per se, the blades are assembled together by means of junction and articulation profiles whose opposite longitudinal edges comprise grooves. parallel in which are engaged, for example by sliding, the opposite edges of said blades and, according to an advantageous embodiment, these junction and articulation profiles have a curved transverse profile whose concavity is turned towards the shaft or drum winding when said apron is wound on said shaft or drum.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the transparent rolling curtain is provided laterally with locking caps to prevent any lateral sliding or tearing of the blades and, according to a characteristic arrangement of the invention, these locking ends have a curved transverse profile whose concavity is turned towards the shaft or winding drum when said apron is wound on said shaft or drum.
According to a characteristic arrangement of the invention, these locking ends comprise a shutter body applied against the ends of the joining profile, so as to close the inlet of the articulation grooves formed in said joining profile. This body is fixed by screwing by means of at least one screw and preferably by means of two screws screwing into cavities formed in the partition separating said grooves.
According to a preferred embodiment, the inner face of said locking ends has extra thicknesses engaged in the entry of the articulation grooves of the joining profiles, these extra thicknesses being shaped and sized to be able to be nested without significant play in said entries.
The locking ends according to the invention facilitate the holding in position of the blades and disassembly if necessary, which allows significant time savings.
According to another interesting feature arrangement, the locking ends have an upper fin or cap.
According to another characteristic arrangement, the body of the locking ends comprises, on its outer face, partially flanged lateral wings ensuring the maintenance of the apron in the guide rails, thus preventing peeling against pulling forces, for example in the case of strong winds generating such forces.
According to another advantageous embodiment, the rolling shutter according to the invention also comprises at least one ring, and preferably a plurality of rings intended to be positioned on the winding shaft and comprising a fin overcoming a portion of the ring and disposed at a distance from the outer face of said ring, so that in curtain mounting situation, the fins of the rings cover the first joining profile to prevent the friction of the blades against each other during the the winding of the curtain and therefore the deterioration of the latter by the appearance of unsightly scratches on the transparent blades thus impairing the visibility through said flap and which would cause a fragility of said shutter.
Le dispositif selon l'invention procure plusieurs avantages intéressants. Notamment :
- la forme galbée des lames permet un enroulement du tablier autour de l'arbre ou tambour d'enroulement présentant une forme cylindrique régulière de sorte qu'il est possible d'enrouler le tablier dans un coffre de dimension réduite;
- les lames étant constituées d'une pluralité de modules présentent une meilleure résistance en comparaison avec une lame constituée d'une seule pièce ;
- les modules étant assemblés directement par emboitement de leurs extrémités, sans élément opaque intermédiaire, permet de conserver une bonne transparence du rideau ;
- the curved shape of the blades allows a winding of the apron around the shaft or winding drum having a regular cylindrical shape so that it is possible to wind the apron in a reduced size box;
- the blades consisting of a plurality of modules have a better strength compared to a blade made of a single piece;
- the modules being assembled directly by interlocking their ends, without intermediate opaque element, allows to maintain a good transparency of the curtain;
- the ring disposed on the winding shaft and the upper fins of the locking caps prevent the formation of scratches on the blades forming the shutter and thus ensure the durability of the latter.

Referring to said drawings to describe interesting, although not limiting, embodiments of the transparent rolling curtain according to the invention.
The shaft or winding
The opposite longitudinal edges of the
The
The
They can have excellent transparency qualities or be slightly tinted or not, or translucent, or opaque, or glitter.
The
The final
The horizontal blades consisting of several modules or parts of
According to another characteristic of the invention, the
These junction profiles 9 are executed in one piece, the length corresponding to the length of the blades consist of several abutting modules. They comprise two opposite
This opening, consisting of a
During the pivoting movements of the
On the other hand, along these upper and lower longitudinal edges, the
Advantageously and preferably, a soundproofing
According to another characteristic arrangement of the invention, the abutting modules or parts of
Preferably, the opposite abutment ends of the modules are respectively provided with a
In this way, when the contiguous ends of two
The
According to a characteristic arrangement of the invention, these locking ends 15 comprise a
According to a preferred embodiment, the inner face of the locking ends has extra thicknesses or
Preferably, the locking ends have an upper fin or
Locking caps 15 are, for example, made of PVC or any other suitable material.
The
This ring is further provided with a
Preferably, a plurality of
These winding rings are for example made of PVC or any other suitable elastic material allowing their deformation by spacing during their establishment on the winding shaft or
The lateral ends of the aprons made according to the invention and having the above characteristics are mounted with a sliding ability in the guide rails or vertical slides constituted by robust profiles made for example of extruded aluminum or steel, so that known in itself.
The vertical guide rails have a generally U-shaped profile whose open side defines a longitudinal opening 24, extending over the entire height of said guide rails. A
The entrance of the
