Abstract

The shutter has transparent slats arranged horizontally on top of one another and inserted between top and bottom profiles (4, 5). Each slat is formed by I-section modules (7, 12) assembled two-by-two in a laterally overlapping manner. Top and bottom flanges of the modules are inserted by sliding the modules with slight clearance between two opposing rails provided on surfaces of the profiles opposite to locking surfaces of the profiles. Each extremal module of each slat ends in a breakable fixing peg (27).

Description

DOMAINE TECHNIQUE DE L'INVENTIONTECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a transparent safety curtain, the type rollable around a drum disposed at its upper part, said curtain allowing, when lowered and closed, to protect against vandalism and theft a showcase, a Storefront for example, without affecting the visibility of the latter, or to protect a window or a French window of a living space, said curtain being furthermore of the kind consisting of a plurality of transparent blades , which are arranged horizontally, one above the other.

ARRIÈRE PLAN TECHNOLOGIQUE DE L'INVENTIONBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

There are currently two main types of such a transparent security curtain.

In the first type, described for example in the international patent application published under No. WO 2007/024131 , on behalf of Europ Look Beheer BV, the transparent blades comprise in excrescences, on each of their two longitudinal edges, sections of cylindrical tubes arranged in staggered rows, the length of each section being very slightly less than the distance separating two consecutive sections. To join two blades of this kind, the pipe sections of one are arranged in the gaps left between the pipe sections of the other and the two blades thus arranged are assembled by sliding inside the cylindrical tubular sections then located in the extension of each other a rod whose diameter is very slightly less than the inner diameter of the tubular sections.

Thus in the manner of a piano hinge, the rod constitutes a latch and a horizontal axis of articulation for the two blades concerned. The blades, which are made of a piece with their sections of cylindrical tubes forming excrescences, are generally made of polycarbonate and the hinge pins are made of steel.

In the second type, described for example in the French patent FR-87.11017 in the name of Peyrichou-Malan, the blades are each joined to the next higher blade by means of two sections of complementary sections engaged. These two interlocked profiles also simultaneously constitute a latch and a horizontal axis of articulation for the two blades concerned. In this type of curtain, the transparent blades are inserted between the profiles and either the blades or the profiles, slide at each of their two ends in a vertical side slide fixed to the joinery that defines the storefront or storefront to protect. The blades of such a curtain are generally polycarbonate and the profiles are preferably aluminum.

The transparent safety curtain according to the invention constitutes an improvement of the curtains of the second type described above.

Indeed, since the widths of storefronts or storefronts, as well as the widths of the windows, are variable, it is appropriate to provide or cut on the spot blades of a length corresponding to the width of the bay to cover , in addition to the dimensions and thicknesses of the vertical side rails.

Such blades are therefore particularly bulky. Moreover, if there is an error in cutting, the blades are unusable, at least for the bay that was desired to cover, and they are either discarded or stored in the hope of being reused to cover a bay with a smaller width.

In addition, the transparent blades being forcibly inserted into corresponding recesses provided in the faces of the profiles opposite to their locking faces, each safety curtain of the second type must be fully assembled before to be placed between the two vertical lateral slides, by sliding from the upper part thereof, which implies that, to perform all the essential preliminary operations, the installer has a large volume available inside the store to equip.

Le document AU-B-56317 décrit un rideau de sécurité conforme au préambule de la revendication 1.The document AU-B-56317 discloses a safety curtain according to the preamble of claim 1.

DESCRIPTION GÉNÉRALE DE L'INVENTIONGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Thus, the transparent safety curtain according to the invention is characterized in that each of its blades is formed of a plurality of I-section modules assembled in pairs overlapped sideways, the upper and lower wings of said modules being inserted by sliding with a slight clearance between two rails vis-à-vis, made on the faces of the profiles opposite their locking faces, respectively the upper profile and the lower profile, and in that each end module of each blade is butted to a breakable locking tip.

The modules are either assembled with single overlap or forcibly engaged.

In both of the aforementioned embodiments, the modules have a width of a few tens of centimeters, preferably of the order of 30 centimeters.

In the first of the two aforementioned embodiments, the modules comprise on each of their two vertical lateral edges a projection in Z, the extremal wing of this projection being offset with respect to the core of the module, while being parallel to said core, and the plane of the inner face of said extremal wing coinciding with the plane of the face of the soul towards which the projection is offset.

In this construction, the Z-shaped protrusions formed along the two lateral edges of each module are then advantageously of opposite orientations so that the inner face of each extremal wing is in contact with the face of the soul of a neighboring module. .

In the second of the two embodiments mentioned above, the forced engagement of the two modules is obtained by locking a hook, formed along the vertical edge of each module, in a complementary vertical groove dug in the core near the edge. vertical of the other module, slightly behind its hook.

Advantageously, in this second embodiment, the two hooks formed along the two vertical edges of each module are of opposite orientations and the two vertical grooves are hollowed one in one face and the other in the other face of the soul of said module.

Advantageously, each locking endpiece consists of a base whose width is substantially equal to that of the profiles and whose height is substantially equal to the distance separating the centers of the two complementary rounds constituting the locking means of two profiles mounted on a same blade, said base being extended by a soul which is perpendicular to it, whose section is substantially identical to that of the modules, said core being extended in the upper and lower parts of an orthogonal return extending on either side of the core, thicker than the wing of a module and thus sliding forcibly in the rail of a profile, said core further comprising at its free end a plurality of vertical slots facilitating the cutting and the perfect setting to length of the soul so that its end is in contact with the extremal module of the blade which it is the termination.

Preferably, the base of each locking piece is pierced with two through holes in the grooves of the rails of the two sections mounted on the same blade and each orifice receives a screw whose threaded rod is screwed into the central portion of the orthogonal return mounted slidably in a rail.

Also preferably, each of the two returns of the core of each locking tip has on its outer face a longitudinal groove which receives the threaded rod so that the thread of said screw cooperates with the bottom of said groove and with the bottom of the profile rail.

Advantageously, said longitudinal groove extends from the base of the locking end to the first vertical slot.

In order to make each locking tip easily breakable, each vertical slot is made to leave only a few portions of material of the core, said portions of material being spaced apart and being further reduced in thickness.

In order to make the transparent safety curtain according to the invention as secure as possible with respect to vandalism and with regard to violent atmospheric disturbances (gusts of wind, storms), the locking ends have a limited lateral displacement between them. two wings of each vertical slide.

Preferably, the lower transparent blade is articulated on a final extruded aluminum blade which is provided at the bottom with a rail adapted to receive a seal and which is provided with a member allowing its locking in the lower part of the showcase or storefront to protect.

The detailed specifications of the invention are given in the following description in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. It should be noted that these drawings have no other purpose than to illustrate the text of the description and that they do not constitute in any way a limitation of the scope of the invention.

DESCRIPTION DES MODES DE RÉALISATION PRÉFÉRÉS DE L'INVENTIONDESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

Un rideau de sécurité transparent conforme à l'invention a été représenté à la Figure 1.A transparent security curtain in accordance with the invention has been shown in FIG. Figure 1 .

This curtain 1, of the type windable around a drum disposed at its upper part, for example recessed in a box 2, allows when lowered and closed to protect, against vandalism and theft, a window or a storefront of shop, without affecting the visibility of the shop, or protecting a window or French window dwelling, for example a villa or the apartment of a building.

To this end, the curtain is constituted by a plurality of transparent blades 3 which are arranged horizontally one above the other and which are each joined to the next higher blade by means of two profiles of complementary sections, respectively upper 4 and less than 5, as is visible Figures 25 and 26 .

When they are engaged in pairs, the sections 4 and 5 simultaneously constitute a latch and a horizontal hinge axis for the two blades 3 concerned.

The curtain according to the invention is also of the type in which the blades 3 are inserted between the sections 4 and 5 and in which the profiles 4,5 and / or the blades 3 slide at each of their two ends in a slideway vertical side 6 attached to the joinery 6 'which defines the window or storefront to protect.

According to the invention, each of the blades 3 of the safety curtain 1 is formed of a plurality of modules 7 or 12 of section I assembled side by side in pairs.

According to his first variant represented in Figures 5 to 8 and 29 the modules 7, which have a very advantageous but non-limiting width of the order of 30 centimeters, are assembled with single overlap.

For this purpose, the core 8 of each module 7 has its two vertical lateral edges 9 and 10 slightly refined and bent twice in opposite directions so as to form a projection 11 in Z. The extremal wing of this projection Z is thus shifted with respect to the core 8, while being parallel to said core, and the plane of the inner face 11 'of said extremal wing is then merged with the plane of the face 11 "of the core towards which she is shifted.

In addition, in this first variant, the Z projections 11 formed along the two lateral edges 9 and 10 of each module 7 are of opposite orientations. Thus, the modules 7 integrated between the rails 4 and 5 one after the other in order to form a blade 3 can be assembled, abutting two by two, overlap single overlap of the extremal wings of the two projections in Z, the inner faces 11 'of said two Z projections 11 being slightly offset relative to each other and each being in contact with the face 11 "of the core 8 of the immediately adjacent module 7, as is clearly visible in FIG. Figure 29 .

According to its second variant represented in Figures 9 to 13 the modules 12, which preferably have a width also of the order of 30 centimeters, are forcibly engaged.

For this purpose, each of the two lateral ends 13 and 14 of the core 15 of each module 12 is bent three times so as to form a vertical hook 16 which is turned towards the median plane 17 but which does not reach this median plane. .

The face 18 of the core 15 of each module to which the hook 16 is rotated further has a vertical groove 19 adapted to receive the hook 16 identical to another module.

Thus, when two modules 12 are close together, their two hooks 16 pass one above the other then, when the two modules are butted, each hook 16 of each module 12 is forcibly housed in the groove 19 of the other module, hence the engagement between the two modules 12 and their self-locking.

In the two aforementioned variants, the upper and lower wings 20 of the modules 7, 12 are slidably inserted with a slight clearance between the rails facing each other, respectively 22 and 23, of the upper and lower rails 5 and 5, respectively. which are each provided on the face of the profile which is opposite to the face used for locking.

Each wing 20, 21 comprises for this purpose two grooves 24 vis-à-vis, each delimited by the head of the wing 20, 21 strictly speaking and by a shoulder 25, the grooves 24 being able to cooperate with the returns 26 rails 22, 23 and, for this, being of a width slightly greater than the thickness of the returns 26. The height of the heads of the wings 20, 21 is of course, for the same reasons, slightly less than the height of the inner grooves of the rails 22, 23.

Since, after assembly, the modules 7, 12 have been slid between the profiles 4 and 5 and have been adjusted relative to each other, either by simple overlap with respect to the modules 7, or nested by their hooks 16 and their grooves 19 for the modules 12, it is understood that, because there is only a slight clearance between the wings 20 and 21 of the modules 7 or 12 and the rails 22 and 23 of the profiles 4 , 5, it is impossible for the modules to disengage and the blades can thus be dismounted.

The succession of modules 7 or 12 between two rails 4 and 5 has a length that does not necessarily correspond to the width available between the two vertical rails 6 of the window or the front, or the window to be protected.

In order to approach this width as closely as possible, a section 41 of the module 7 or 12 appropriate to the already constructed construction will be placed accordingly, at least near one of the vertical slideways 6, and at each of the two ends the blade 3 thus formed, it will complete the construction by integrating between the two sections 4 and 5 a locking piece 27 according to the invention which will abut a side edge of the module 7 or 12 or, according to a side edge of a section 41 of such a module intended, as we have just said, to approach as close as possible the desired width defined between the bottoms of the souls of the two slides 6.

In order to obtain the ideal blade length, each locking tip is provided to be scored.

To this end, each locking end 27 consists of a base 28 whose width is substantially equal to that of the profiles 4 and 5 and whose height is substantially equal to the distance D separating the centers of the two complementary roundings, respectively greater 29 and lower 30, profiles 4 and 5, which rounded, as it is visible to the Figures 25 and 26 , are complementary in order to constitute the high and low locking means of the two sections mounted on the same blade 3.

The base 28 of the tip 27 is extended by a core 31 which is perpendicular to it and whose section is substantially identical to that of the modules 7 or 12.

The core 31 is extended in the upper and lower parts of an orthogonal return, respectively 32 and 33, which extends on either side of the core, which is thicker than the upper and lower wings 20 and 21 modules 7 or 12, and which slides forcibly in the rail of each profile.

The core 31 of the locking piece 27, including the returns 32 and 33, further comprises at its free end a plurality of vertical slots 34 whose purpose is to facilitate the cutting of a portion of the soul 31 and the perfect setting to length of said core and said returns so that their end 35 is in contact with the extremal module of the blade 3 which it is the termination or, according to or in contact with the module section 41 ending the blade.

For attachment to the curtain, the base 28 of each locking piece 27 is pierced with two orifices 36 through the grooves of the rails 22, 23 of the two sections 4, 5 mounted on the same blade 3 and each through hole 36 receives a screw 40 whose threaded rod is screwed into the central portion of the orthogonal return 32, 33 slidably mounted in a rail 22, 23.

Each of the two returns 32, 33 of the core 31 of each locking tip 27 has on its outer face a longitudinal groove 37 which receives the threaded rod of the screw 40, and to ensure that the thread of said screw , after cooperating with the material of the base 28 of the tip 27, cooperates with the bottom of said groove 37 and with the bottom of the rail 22, 23 of the profile 4, 5.

De préférence, la rainure longitudinale 37 s'étend depuis la base 38 du socle 28 de l'embout de blocage 27 jusqu'à la première fente verticale 34.Preferably, the longitudinal groove 37 extends from the base 38 of the base 28 of the locking tip 27 to the first vertical slot 34.

As it is visible on Figures 14 to 18 , each vertical slot 34 is made in the core 31 and in the returns 32, 33 of the tip 27 so as to leave only a few portions 39 of the material of the core 31, said portions of material being spaced apart and in addition of reduced thickness.

It is understood that these precuts made in the core 31 and in the returns 32, 33 greatly facilitate the tearing of one, two or three parts of the end of the tip 27, as it was given for example on Figures 14 to 18 .

It is also understood that, except in the case where there is no use in reducing the length of a tip 27, the tip 35 of said tip is then constituted by only a few parts of the material of his soul, two in the example shown in Figure 17 and at the Figure 28 after cutting schematized by the arrow A to the Figure 16 .

As he was represented on Figures 27 and 28 the curtain constituted in the manner described above is, in a manner known per se, introduced at each of its two ends into a vertical lateral slide 6 constituted in the form of a U-shaped section whose core 42 is fixed to joinery and whose two wings 43 frame the curtain. The inside of the end of each wing 43 advantageously has a housing 44 which receives a rubber seal 45 for protecting the curtain. In order to limit the lateral deflections of the curtain, two shoulders 46 may be provided slightly in front of the bottom of the web 42 of the slideway 6, which shoulders are then spaced from each other by a sufficient distance to allow the passage of the various fixing screws of the slide 6 in the joinery - wall or frame - which supports said slide.

Enfin, toujours de façon connue en soi, la lame 3 la plus basse du rideau, en l'occurrence le profilé bas 5 de cette lame, est prolongé en étant articulé sur une lame finale 47 en aluminium extrudé qui est dotée en partie haute d'un moyen de verrouillage identique à celui d'un profilé supérieur 4, c'est-à-dire comportant un arrondi 29, et qui est dotée en partie basse d'un rail 48 apte à recevoir un joint d'étanchéité 49 (voir Figures 2 à 4).Finally, still in a manner known per se, the lowest blade 3 of the curtain, in this case the low profile 5 of this blade, is extended by being articulated on a final blade 47 of extruded aluminum which is provided in the upper part of the blade. locking means identical to that of an upper profile 4, that is to say having a rounded portion 29, and which is provided at the bottom with a rail 48 adapted to receive a seal 49 (see FIG. Figures 2 to 4 ).

This final blade 47 is further provided with a member allowing its locking in the lower part of the shop window or the storefront to be protected.

The modules 7 and 12 and the sections 41 of such modules are made of polycarbonate and are manufactured by injection.

The locking caps 27 are either polycarbonate or metal, for example steel.

The profiles 4 and 5 are preferably aluminum and the vertical side rails 6 are metallic, either aluminum or galvanized steel.

In the constitution of the curtain, the modules 7 or 12 are either aligned one above the other, or, preferably, for the sake of a better aesthetic, arranged in staggered rows as has been shown in FIG. Figure 1 .
