Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of pool roofing for low shelters and including adaptations to facilitate the opening of the elements constituting the roof.
- roofs which, more commonly known as "low shelters”, (see for example FR-A-2 776 000) consist of roof elements disposed juxtaposed along the length of the pool and each rotating on one of their longitudinal edges to open and thus give access to the pool water.
- low shelters see for example FR-A-2 776 000
- Said roof elements are of the type each comprising a cover formed of panels of translucent material such as double-walled polycarbonate and a rigid frame, light and resistant to support the transparent cover, said frame being formed of hoops arranged in transverse planes and braced by crosspieces with two longitudinal end cross members defining two longitudinal edges to the roof element. These two longitudinal edges rest on the edges of the pelvis defining a bearing surface to said roof elements.
- the support edges of these elements are conventionally constituted by the longitudinal edges of the basin.
- the pool roof for low shelters of the type of which each element constituting it consists of a cover resting on a frame formed of two transverse arches and braced by longitudinal crosspieces with two longitudinal parallel edges, one of which minus is hinged relative to the rim of the pool of the pool to pass said element from a closed position to an open position is remarkable in that the above roof is constituted, over a portion at least of its length, of juxtaposed roof elements whose distance delimited by the outer rope of the two longitudinal edges resting on the support flange of the pelvis and which connect the two arches is less than the distance that delimits the inner rope of the two longitudinal edges resting on the rim d support of the basin and that connect the two arches of the juxtaposed elements of the other portion of the roof to r allow nesting of the first portion called small elements in the second portion called large elements and thus partially discover the pool over a length corresponding to the displacement of the movable portion of elements.
- This new concept of pool roofing for low shelters offers a great interest in giving the double possibility of discovering the pool basin either on one side or the other of the longitudinal plane of the pool by tilting roof elements and. on one side or the other of the transverse plane of the pool by moving a portion of elements in the other portion.
- the fact of associating several roof elements in a moving portion one behind the other makes it possible to have an interlocking only over two widths, thus limiting the space requirement on the support surface and even giving the possibility to rest the entire roof on the edge.
- the portion of the small roof elements is mounted movably along and / or outside the pool and is moved below the portion of large roof elements to be partially covered or entirely by the latter, the opposite and it is the portion of large roof elements that is mounted movably along and / or outside the pool and is moved over the portion of small roof elements that it overlaps partially or in full.
- the roof when the roof comprises a single movable portion of roof elements, it will preferably be located at one end of the pool and, when the roof comprises two movable portions of elements, these will preferably be located at both ends of the pool.
- the first configuration it is the movable portion of elements that is moved from one end of the pool that it gradually discovers to the other end which remains closed and where is the other fixed portion of elements then that in the second configuration, it is the two movable portions of elements that are moved towards one another by gradually discovering the two ends of the pool, and towards the middle of it which remains closed and where is located the central portion of fixed elements.
- FIG. 1 illustrates a swimming pool roof of the prior art more commonly called low shelter and shown in closed position.
- This roof, referenced, T as a whole, is conventionally constituted by a series of roof elements I of the type of those each consisting of a cover formed of translucent material panels 100 such as double-walled polycarbonate and a rigid frame 200 light and resistant in the form of hoops 210 arranged in transverse planes and braced by cross members 220 to support said cover.
- the two end rails 220 of the frame delimit two longitudinal edges 220a and 220b to the roof elements I which are retained on the longitudinal edges of the basin defining a bearing surface, by means of brackets.
- fixing respectively 300a and 300b releasably anchor in said flanges S or in the capping margins said flanges.
- one (central) of the roof elements I is shown in the open position thus partially discovering the basin of the pool.
- one (220a) of the two longitudinal edges of the frame of this roof element is released from its fixing lugs 300a thus allowing said element I, a tilting movement on its second edge 220b around the two legs 300b, according to an angular expansion (symbolized by the arrow A) in a transverse plane of the basin.
- the element I is maintained in this half-open position by means of two spacers formed by crutches 400 whose heads 410 penetrate into each end of the edge 220a and whose feet 420 come to bear on the edges S of the basin in which they come anchor instead of newly released brackets 300a.
- FIG. 3 shows a pool roof referenced T 'as a whole and represented according to the original concept of the invention.
- it is constituted, to one (right) of the ends of the pool, a portion P 'of three juxtaposed roof elements I' whose distance that defines the outer rope of the two longitudinal edges 220a 'and 220b 'resting on the support flange S of the basin and that connect the two hoops 210' of each element I 'is less than the distance delimited by the inner rope of the two longitudinal edges 220a and 220b resting on the support flange S of basin and that connect the two arches 210 of each of the three elements juxtaposed I of the other portion P of the roof T 'located at the other (left) end of the pool and all three of conventional design as for the roof T.
- the two longitudinal edges 220a 'and 220b' of the roof elements I 'of the portion P' rest on the rim of the basin S via displacement means (bearing) shown in the drawing of FIG. 9 or FIG. 10 allowing, once the fixing lugs 300a 'and 300b' are released from their anchoring in the aforesaid support flange S as shown in the drawing of FIG. 4, to move the portion P 'of elements I' (arrow D) to the portion P of elements I, with interlocking elements I 'inside the elements I.
- This evolution (arrow D) of the portion P' of an intermediate position illustrated in Figure 4 at a position more nested illustrated in Figure 5 can gradually discover the pool on one end of the pool.
- the advantage of the recovery of the portion P 'by the portion P as shown in the drawing of FIG. 5 is to have an entirely covered pool at its left end and entirely uncovered at its right end. that can not ensure the hinge movements (arrow A of Figure 2) of the elements I of the roof T. It should be noted that the movable portion P 'can be moved along the support flange S but at l outside of the pool basin, as shown in the drawing of Figure 6.
- the tight connection between the two portions P and P 'of the roof T' in the closed position is ensured by a partial interlocking of the two adjacent roof elements I and I 'with overlapping the end hoops 210 and 210 'of each of the two nested elements.
- a broom-type seal in the inner face of the end hoop 210 of the roof element I of the portion P so that the latter remains in permanent contact with the underlying extreme hoop 210 'and / or with the panels 100' of the cover of the mobile portion P ', the sealed connection of the roof covering T' is guaranteed between the two portions P and P 'whatever the position of the latter, outlet (see FIG. 3), partially fitted (see FIG. ) or fully nested (see Figure 5).
- the elements I 'of the movable portion P' have between them connecting means which are separable on the one hand, to allow their free articulation (arrow A of Figure 7) relative to the support flange S of the basin and indissociable on the other hand, to push in the direction of the arrow D but especially to return in the opposite direction of the arrow D, all the elements I 'stowed together so that it is sufficient to push and / or pull the portion P 'at any anchor point to move all the elements I'.
- connection means when the connection means are dissociated as shown in the drawing of Figure 7, the elements 1 and I 'of the roof T' can offer the conventional advantages of the low roof of the roof T by allowing the position ajar by the articulation A of said elements I and I 'on the support flange S of the basin and when the connecting means are indissociated as shown in the drawing of Figure 4, the elements I' of the portion P 'allow the position discovered by moving said elements I 'stowed together, along ( Figures 4 and 5) and / or outside ( Figure 6) of the rim of the basin.
- the aforesaid connecting means are constituted by the wings of the hoops 210 'which, arranged protruding in the extension of the panels 100' of the cover in translucent material to ensure the partial waterproof covering of the elements juxtaposed I 'of the roof T' in the closed position, are provided with a removable device for securing with the arch 210 'of the element I' contiguous.
- This removable securing device not shown can be adapted by the skilled person for example with a male-female assembly.preformed respectively in the contacting faces of the wings and hoops 210.
- each of the aforesaid connecting means of two adjacent arcs referenced 210r 'for the covered roof element and 210c' for the covering roofing element (comprising the projecting flanges) of the movable portion P ' is constituted by a U-shaped section 211' which, intended to fit the rectangular lower profiles 212r 'and 212c' of said two adjacent arches, is secured to the rectangular profile 212r 'of the arch 210r' of the coated element so that the rectangular profile 212c 'of the arch 210c' of the covering element can be housed and wedged in the U-shaped profile 211 '(see FIG.
- the upper part of the branch of the aforesaid U-shaped section 211 'not integral with the arch 210r' of the covered element is flared to facilitate engagement with clearance of the rectangular lower profile 212c 'of the arch 210c' of the covering element during its lowering movement in the closed position.
- the arches 210 of the roof elements I of the fixed portion P have the same radius of curvature as the arches 210 'of the roof elements I' of the movable portion P '.
- the same hoops or the same elements I it is possible to realize either fixed elements I or moving elements I '.
- the longitudinal edge 220a of the element I has the same profile as that of the longitudinal edge 220a 'of the element I' so that by engaging in the edge 220a the fixing means 310a which will be associated with the tabs 300a, and in the border 220a 'the rolling means 320a' which will ensure the displacement of the element I ', it is possible, by the elevated and remote configuration of the fastening means 310a, raising the element I relative to the element I 'while increasing the rope of the lift to the ground of the element I so that there is no friction between the two elements I and I 'and free mobility of the second (I') in the first (I).
- the longitudinal edges 220a, 220b and 220a, 220b ' are preformed to adjustably receive about axes parallel to the longitudinal axis of the basin, the fixing means 310a and the rolling means 320a', so as to to adapt to the different radii of curvature of the arches according to the width of the basins.
- the same fastening means 310a and bearing 320a ' which will then be properly positioned by correctly adjusting the angle of inclination in the profile of the longitudinal edges.
- the longitudinal edge 220a (shown in strong lines) of the element I of the portion P does not have the same profile as that of the longitudinal edge 220a ' of the element I '(shown in fine lines) of the movable portion P'.
- the longitudinal cross member 220a 'of the movable element is conventionally arranged at its upper part and towards the inner side of the roof of a projecting inclined groove 221a' for gripping and retaining the edge of the panel 100 '(shown in FIG.
- the coupling member 222a 'shown is of the type formed in the profile of the cross member of the edge 220a' according to a circular section slide open towards the outside of a longitudinal groove 222a "according to a width greater than that of the thickness of the fixing lugs 300a 'to allow a pivot connection between the edge 220a' and the fixing lugs 300a ', and therefore the free articulation (arrow A of FIG. 7) of the element of roof I 'associated with it.
- rolling members of which only one (320a ') is shown ensure the free movement of the edge 220a' along the flange S, and therefore the entire element I 'associated therewith.
- the end beam 220a of the portion P is, for its part, preformed differently from that of the conventional cross member 220a 'by adopting a preferably hollow profile bent two branches 220a1 and 220a2 at an obtuse angle to ensure simultaneously lateral displacement towards the outer side of the roof, the position of the coupling member 222a and a vertical displacement upwardly, the position of the inclined groove 221a while respecting the angle of inclination thereof.
- the first leg 220a1 of said elbow-shaped profile forming the longitudinal edge 220a and receiving at its lower part the coupling member 222a is narrow and stands vertically as a pole with a more or less sensitive inclination adapted to the radius of curvature panels and the second branch 220a2 receiving at its upper part the inclined groove 221a adopts the shape of a cone whose small base is in the extension of the first vertical branch 220a1 and whose large base receives at its upper part the aforesaid inclined groove 221a.
- an element I is obtained which ensures, by way of presence of the cone of the second branch 220a2, increasing the distance defined by the outer rope of the two longitudinal edges 220a 'and 220b' and therefore the distance between the two coupling members (only one 222a is shown) as well as, by the presence of the pole forming the first branch 220a1, the elevation of the height of the inclined grooves (only one 221a is shown).
- This increase of the difference between the coupling members and this elevation of the grooves will be parameterized at the ribs of the cone of the second branch 220a2 and those of the post of the first branch 220a1 to allow without friction the free mobility of the elements juxtaposed I 'of the movable portion P' below the juxtaposed elements I of the other portion P.
- FIG. 12 shows in greater detail only one (510a ') of the two guide rollers driven in free rotation about a vertical axis associated with the end hoop 210' at the longitudinal edge 220a 'of the portion mobile P 'and only one (520a) of the two counter-guide rollers driven in free rotation about a vertical axis associated with the end hoop 210 at the longitudinal edge 220a.
- the tread 511a 'of said guide roller 510a' is projecting from the plane of the longitudinal edge 220a 'while bearing on the inner wall of the narrow vertical portion forming a pole 220a1 of the longitudinal edge 220a of the fixed portion P and the tread 521a of said counter-guide roller 520a is projecting from the plane of the longitudinal edge 220a while bearing on the outer wall of the longitudinal edge 220a of the movable wall P '.
- the pair of guide rollers 510a 'and 510b' associated with the pair of counter-guide rollers 520a and 520b forming the guide device 500 has the great advantage of automatically correcting the lateral deviations of the displacements D of the movable portion P 'with respect to at the fixed portion P.
- the two guide rollers 510a 'and 510b' rotated about two axes associated with the end hoop 210 'of the movable portion P' are partially arranged (as illustrated in the drawing of FIG.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the field of pool roofing for low shelters and including adaptations to facilitate the opening of the elements constituting the roof.
There are several types of pool roofs in the prior art, but the invention relates more particularly to roofs which, more commonly known as "low shelters", (see for example FR-A-2 776 000) consist of roof elements disposed juxtaposed along the length of the pool and each rotating on one of their longitudinal edges to open and thus give access to the pool water. For a better understanding of the invention, it is useful to specify that the longitudinal, transverse and lateral positions of the roof elements and / or their constituent parts are considered with respect to the longitudinal, lateral and transverse axes of the basin. Said roof elements are of the type each comprising a cover formed of panels of translucent material such as double-walled polycarbonate and a rigid frame, light and resistant to support the transparent cover, said frame being formed of hoops arranged in transverse planes and braced by crosspieces with two longitudinal end cross members defining two longitudinal edges to the roof element. These two longitudinal edges rest on the edges of the pelvis defining a bearing surface to said roof elements. The support edges of these elements are conventionally constituted by the longitudinal edges of the basin.
- etc...
- it limits the uncovering of the pool to said open position,
- it requires, for its handling, the use of two crutches as lever arm for each of the roof elements,
- it often requires the intervention of two people to lift each roof element,
- it offers the said open elements a significant wind catch which tends to destabilize them,
- it is relatively long to install for several elements,
- etc ...
Many improvements have been made in recent years to ease the lifting operation of the roof elements using a sliding kickstand in the rim and acting as a lever by exerting an ascending effort applied to the middle of the edge, or using various lifting systems to limit the trouble.
Despite these various innovations to substantially improve the passage of the roof elements from a closed position to an open position while avoiding the maximum efforts to be provided by the user during this operation, the applicant has found that the opening of elements constituting the pool roof remained a difficult handling operation, although simplified by the very fact of the weight of said elements. This handling becomes even a real difficulty when the pool and therefore the elements of the roof covering it are large, or it is necessary to raise several.
On the basis of this observation, the applicant has devised a new pool roof concept that reconciles the advantages of low shelters with articulated roof elements on one of their longitudinal edges with those of high shelters with telescopic roof elements, of the type of those known from FR-A-2,572,114, for example.
According to the invention, the pool roof for low shelters of the type of which each element constituting it consists of a cover resting on a frame formed of two transverse arches and braced by longitudinal crosspieces with two longitudinal parallel edges, one of which minus is hinged relative to the rim of the pool of the pool to pass said element from a closed position to an open position, is remarkable in that the above roof is constituted, over a portion at least of its length, of juxtaposed roof elements whose distance delimited by the outer rope of the two longitudinal edges resting on the support flange of the pelvis and which connect the two arches is less than the distance that delimits the inner rope of the two longitudinal edges resting on the rim d support of the basin and that connect the two arches of the juxtaposed elements of the other portion of the roof to r allow nesting of the first portion called small elements in the second portion called large elements and thus partially discover the pool over a length corresponding to the displacement of the movable portion of elements.
This new concept of pool roofing for low shelters offers a great interest in giving the double possibility of discovering the pool basin either on one side or the other of the longitudinal plane of the pool by tilting roof elements and. on one side or the other of the transverse plane of the pool by moving a portion of elements in the other portion. In addition, the fact of associating several roof elements in a moving portion one behind the other makes it possible to have an interlocking only over two widths, thus limiting the space requirement on the support surface and even giving the possibility to rest the entire roof on the edge.
The Applicant has devised several variants of this concept stated above in its most basic expression.
Thus, according to a first variant with two possibilities, the portion of the small roof elements is mounted movably along and / or outside the pool and is moved below the portion of large roof elements to be partially covered or entirely by the latter, the opposite and it is the portion of large roof elements that is mounted movably along and / or outside the pool and is moved over the portion of small roof elements that it overlaps partially or in full.
According to another variant with two possibilities, when the roof comprises a single movable portion of roof elements, it will preferably be located at one end of the pool and, when the roof comprises two movable portions of elements, these will preferably be located at both ends of the pool. In the first configuration, it is the movable portion of elements that is moved from one end of the pool that it gradually discovers to the other end which remains closed and where is the other fixed portion of elements then that in the second configuration, it is the two movable portions of elements that are moved towards one another by gradually discovering the two ends of the pool, and towards the middle of it which remains closed and where is located the central portion of fixed elements.
Although the fundamental concepts of the invention have been described above, other details and characteristics of the invention will emerge more clearly on reading the following description given by way of non-limiting example and with reference to attached drawings, an embodiment of a swimming pool roof according to the invention.

The drawing of Figure 1 illustrates a swimming pool roof of the prior art more commonly called low shelter and shown in closed position. This roof, referenced, T as a whole, is conventionally constituted by a series of roof elements I of the type of those each consisting of a cover formed of
As can be seen in the drawing of Figure 2, one (central) of the roof elements I is shown in the open position thus partially discovering the basin of the pool. For this purpose, one (220a) of the two longitudinal edges of the frame of this roof element is released from its
The drawing of FIG. 3 shows a pool roof referenced T 'as a whole and represented according to the original concept of the invention. For this purpose, it is constituted, to one (right) of the ends of the pool, a portion P 'of three juxtaposed roof elements I' whose distance that defines the outer rope of the two
As can be seen in the drawing of FIG. 3, the tight connection between the two portions P and P 'of the roof T' in the closed position is ensured by a partial interlocking of the two adjacent roof elements I and I 'with overlapping the
The elements I 'of the movable portion P' have between them connecting means which are separable on the one hand, to allow their free articulation (arrow A of Figure 7) relative to the support flange S of the basin and indissociable on the other hand, to push in the direction of the arrow D but especially to return in the opposite direction of the arrow D, all the elements I 'stowed together so that it is sufficient to push and / or pull the portion P 'at any anchor point to move all the elements I'. Thus, when the connection means are dissociated as shown in the drawing of Figure 7, the elements 1 and I 'of the roof T' can offer the conventional advantages of the low roof of the roof T by allowing the position ajar by the articulation A of said elements I and I 'on the support flange S of the basin and when the connecting means are indissociated as shown in the drawing of Figure 4, the elements I' of the portion P 'allow the position discovered by moving said elements I 'stowed together, along (Figures 4 and 5) and / or outside (Figure 6) of the rim of the basin.
According to a first preferred embodiment of the invention, the aforesaid connecting means are constituted by the wings of the hoops 210 'which, arranged protruding in the extension of the panels 100' of the cover in translucent material to ensure the partial waterproof covering of the elements juxtaposed I 'of the roof T' in the closed position, are provided with a removable device for securing with the arch 210 'of the element I' contiguous. This removable securing device not shown can be adapted by the skilled person for example with a male-female assembly.preformed respectively in the contacting faces of the wings and
According to a second preferred embodiment of the invention, illustrated in greater detail in the drawings of FIGS. 8a and 8b, each of the aforesaid connecting means of two adjacent arcs referenced 210r 'for the covered roof element and 210c' for the covering roofing element (comprising the projecting flanges) of the movable portion P 'is constituted by a U-shaped section 211' which, intended to fit the rectangular
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, the
I).As can be seen in the drawing of Figure 9 illustrating a first embodiment of the invention, the
It will be noted that the
According to a second embodiment illustrated in the drawing of Figure 10, the
In order to allow easy release of the
- on the one hand, at least one but preferably two
guide rollers 510a 'and 510b' driven in free rotation about two vertical axes associated with the end hoop 210 'of the movable portion P' moving along the fixed portion P and at the twolongitudinal edges 220a 'and 220b' of the movable portion P ', so that thetreads 511a' and 511b 'of saidguide rollers 510a' and 510b 'are protruding from thelongitudinal edges 220a' and 220b 'facing the two 220a and 220b of the fixed portion P while bearing on the sleepers formed by said twolongitudinal edges 220a and 220b or on the panels (100) forming the raceway throughout the movement of said movable portion P ',longitudinal edges - and on the other hand, at least one but preferably two
520a and 520b driven in free rotation about two vertical axes associated with thecounter-guide rollers end hoop 210 of the fixed portion P along which the moving portion P 'evolves and at the twoborders 220a and '220b longitudinal so that the 521a and 521b saidtreads 520a and 520b are projecting from the vertical plane of thecounter-guide rollers 220a and 220b facing the twolongitudinal edges longitudinal edges 220a' and 220b 'of the portion mobile P 'while bearing on the sleepers formed by said twolongitudinal edges 220a' and 220b 'or on the panels 100' of the movable portion P 'forming a rolling path throughout the movement thereof. Preferably, the axes of the two 520a and 520b are held at the level of the arch, the end of the fixed portion P, in a vertical position by means of a fixation in the longitudinal edge S of the pool.counter-guide rollers
The drawing of FIG. 12 shows in greater detail only one (510a ') of the two guide rollers driven in free rotation about a vertical axis associated with the end hoop 210' at the
The pair of
- to adopt the same principle when the portion P is mobile and covers the fixed portion P ',
- not to be limited in number of rollers when the pool elements are larger,
- to provide other guide rollers or against guiding distributed over the length of the end hoops for example so as to bear on the
cross members 220 and / or thepanels 100 of the other portion P, - motorizing at least guide rollers and / or counter guide means for controlling the displacements D of the movable portion,
- arranging the axes of the
guide rollers 220a 'and 220b' along an axis substantially inclined relative to the vertical so that thetreads 511a 'and 511b' of said guide rollers bear on the 220a and 220b of the fixed portion while providing guidance, the lift of the movable portion P 'thus replacing or substituting the aforesaid rolling means 320a' allowing movements Dlongitudinal edges
It is understood that the swimming pool roof T 'which has just been described above and shown, has been for the purpose of disclosure rather than limitation.
