Abstract

Description

Packaging for product, in particular cosmetic, and corresponding process

The present invention relates to a packaging for at least one product, in particular a cosmetic product, the product comprising at least a first continuous phase and at least a second phase formed from particles dispersed in the first phase, the packaging comprising a first device for packaging the product. , and distribute the product during stages of use of the product, the first device comprising a reservoir and a nozzle for dispensing the product together defining an interior volume adapted to contain the product, the first device further comprising a suitable actuation system for removing at least a portion of the product from the first device via the nozzle without air intake in the interior volume, the nozzle comprising an internal closure system suitable for, apart from the stages of use of the product, isolating the product contained in the interior volume of the ambient air located around the first device .

The invention also relates to a set of such packaging and at least one such product, as well as to a cosmetic, non-therapeutic, care and / or make-up process.

Such a product comprises for example a dispersion of the water-in-oil or oil-in-water type comprising macroscopic particles, that is to say visible to the naked eye, for example of diameter between 100 μm and 1500 pm, kinetically stable and optionally monodisperse.

In addition to an interesting visual, this product has the advantage of preserving the integrity of the active ingredient (s) encapsulated in the particles dispersed in the continuous phase and this, until the moment of distribution or, possibly consumption of the said product.

The large particle size of a product obtained using a microfluidic process, in particular compared to the particles (ie dispersed phase) of conventional emulsions, is also advantageous in that it contributes to a significant reduction in the specific surface and therefore phenomena of light scattering at the interfaces and thus contributes to maximizing the transparency of said product.

On the other hand, products of this type generally have low mechanical strength, which can lead to shearing or fragmenting of the particles during transport or of these products. This is why these products are generally marketed in distribution devices without return air, also called "airless" devices. In a manner known per se, a distribution device without air intake makes it possible to compensate for the volume of product dispensed by means of a container whose bottom is formed by a movable piston which slides inside the container.

The piston goes back up inside the container when a dose of product is dispensed.

If such distribution devices are satisfactory from the point of view of the conservation and transport of the product, it is not the same at the time of distribution and application of the product. Indeed, the particles then tend to denature upon distribution, even before application.

An object of the invention is therefore to propose packaging for such a heterogeneous product, making it possible, at the time of distribution (ie at the outlet of the reservoir), to preserve the integrity of the particles, and, at the time of application, allow at least partial destruction of the particles (depending on the cosmetic purpose, in particular make-up, desired).

To this end, the subject of the invention is a packaging as described above, the packaging further comprising a second device for applying the product to a receiving surface, the second device being fixed, or adapted to be fixed, on the nozzle, and comprising at least one applicator member defining an application face, the applicator member being movable between a configuration at rest, and a partially crushed configuration when the application face is pressed on the receiving surface, the second device defining a housing opening onto the application face, the nozzle being adapted to distribute the product in the housing.

According to particular embodiments, the packaging includes one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in any technically possible combination:

- The second device forms a brush, the applicator member being formed by the bristles of the brush, the application face being formed by distal ends of the bristles;

- The brush is formed by keratin fibers, in particular goat hair, horse hair, in particular horsehair, and their mixtures;

- the applicator member comprises or is formed by a foam, a metal, a plastic, keratin fibers, and their mixtures;

- The applicator member extends around an axis and has an internal side wall delimiting the housing radially from the axis, the applicator member forming for example a crown;

- The nozzle has at least one product outlet opening opening into the housing, preferably away from the walls forming the housing, and even more preferably located substantially in the middle of the housing;

- The nozzle comprises at least one cannula, the cannula comprising an end portion defining said orifice; and

- The reservoir has an internal side wall, and a piston movable relative to the side wall.

The invention also relates to a set of such packaging, and at least one product, in particular cosmetic, the product comprising at least a first continuous phase and at least a second phase formed of macroscopic particles dispersed in the first phase , the product being contained in said interior volume. The subject of the invention is also a cosmetic, non-therapeutic, care and / or make-up process for a keratin material, in particular the skin, the process comprising the following steps:

- supply of a set,

- displacement of at least a portion of the product by the actuation system from the tank to the outside via the nozzle without return of air in the tank,

- distribution of the product in the housing by the nozzle, and

- Application of the application face on a reception surface formed by the keratinous material, and placing of the applicator member in the partially crushed configuration, the application face being pressed on the reception surface.

With reference to FIG. 1, an assembly 1 according to the invention is described.

The set 1 includes a package 5, and a product 10 contained in the package. The assembly 1 is suitable for packaging the product 10 and applying it to a receiving surface 11 during stages of use of the product.

The product 10 is for example a product with several phases. The product 10 with several phases is in particular a cosmetic product, a biologically active product, or an edible product suitable for consumption.

The product 10 comprises a first continuous phase 12, and a dispersion of particles 14 (or drops) of a second phase 16 dispersed in the first phase and substantially immiscible with the first phase. The product 10 can therefore also be qualified as an emulsion.

In the context of the present invention, the above-mentioned dispersions can be designated either by the term emulsions.

Unless otherwise indicated, in all that follows, we consider that we are at ambient temperature (for example T = 25 ° C ± 2 ° C) and atmospheric pressure (760 mm Hg, i.e. 1.013.10 ⁵ Pa or 1013 mbar ).

According to a first embodiment, the first phase 12 is an oily phase and the second phase 16 is an aqueous phase.

According to a second embodiment, the first phase 12 is an aqueous phase and the second phase 16 is a fatty phase.

According to a third embodiment, the dispersion is multiple and comprises at least a first continuous phase 12 and a dispersion of particles 14 (or drops) of a second phase 16 dispersed in the first phase and substantially immiscible with the first phase, said second phase 16 further comprising at least one, preferably a single, internal drop of a third internal phase 18 disposed in the drop formed of the second phase 16, the second phase 16 and the third phase 18 are substantially immiscible. The product 10 is thus thus a multiple dispersion, in particular a double dispersion, and in particular of the water-in-oil-in-water, oil-in-water-in-oil or oil-in-oil-in-water type. This makes it possible to form two-phase particles 14.

An oily (or oily) phase according to the invention advantageously comprises at least one oil.

“Oil” means a fatty substance which is liquid at room temperature (25 ° C).

As oils which can be used in the present invention, there may be mentioned for example:

- hydrocarbon oils of animal origin, such as perhydrosqualene and squalane;

- synthetic esters and ethers, in particular of fatty acids, such as oils of formulas R1COOR2 and R1OR2 in which R1 represents the remainder of a C8 to C29 fatty acid, and R2 represents a hydrocarbon chain, branched or not, in C3 to C30, such as for example isononyl isononanoate;

- linear or branched hydrocarbons, of mineral or synthetic origin, such as paraffin oils, volatile or not, and their derivatives, petrolatum, polydecenes, hydrogenated polyisobutene such as Parléam oil;

- silicone oils, such as, for example, volatile or non-volatile polymethylsiloxanes (PDMS) with a linear or cyclic silicone chain, liquid or pasty at room temperature, in particular cyclopolydimethylsiloxanes (cyclomethicones), polydimethylsiloxanes (or dimethicones) comprising alkyl or alkoxy groups or phenyl, during or at the end of the silicone chain, groups having from 2 to 24 carbon atoms; phenylated silicones;

- fatty alcohols having from 8 to 26 carbon atoms, such as cetyl alcohol;

- partially hydrocarbon and / or silicone fluorinated oils such as those described in document JP-A-2-295912; and

- their mixtures.

A cosmetic product is, for example, cited in Council Directive 93/35 / EEC dated June 14, 1993. This product is, for example, a cream, an emulsion, a lotion, a gel and an oil for the skin (hands, face, feet, etc.), a foundation (liquid, paste) a preparation for baths and showers (salts, foams, oils, gels, etc.), a hair care product (hair dyes and bleaches), a cleaning product (lotions, powders, shampoos), a hair care product (lotions, creams, oils), a skin care and / or make-up product, a styling product (lotions, lacquers, brilliants), a shaving product (soaps, mousses, lotions, etc.), a product intended to be applied to the lips, a sunscreen product, a sunless tanning product, a product for whitening the skin, an anti-wrinkle product.

The first phase 12 and / or the second phase 16 and / or the third phase 18 may also (some) include molecules of cosmetic interest, such as active agents, dyes, stabilizers, preservatives, selected modifying agents among agents of texture, viscosity, pH, osmotic force or modifiers of refractive index.

According to one embodiment, the first phase 12 and / or the second phase 16 and / or the third phase 18, or even the product 10, according to the invention a / have a viscosity of from 1 mPa.s to 500,000 mPa. s, preferably from 10 mPa.s to 300,000 mPa.s, better from 400 mPa.s to 100,000 mPa.s, and more particularly from 1,000 mPa.s to 30,000 mPa.s, as measured at 25 ° C and according to the method described in FR 3 012 050.

Of course, a person skilled in the art will take care to choose the aforementioned products and / or reactive agents and / or molecules of cosmetic interest, and / or their quantity in such a way that the advantageous properties of the dispersion according to the invention are not or substantially not altered by the proposed addition. These adjustments fall within the competence of a person skilled in the art.

Advantageously, the product 10 is transparent or substantially translucent.

By substantially translucent is meant that the absorbance of the product under consideration is generally less than 5%, preferably less than 2%, preferably less than

1% for at least one wavelength in the visible spectrum from 400 nanometers to 1000 nanometers, advantageously on any wavelength of the visible spectrum from 400 nanometers to 1000 nanometers.

Advantageously, the product 10, and more particularly the first phase 12 and / or the second phase 16 of said product 10, and / or the container 20 is / are colored, while nevertheless retaining the at least translucent character mentioned above, of so as to further reinforce the attractive visual of the product 10, or even of the device 10 comprising said product 10.

The first phase 12 and the second phase 16 are substantially immiscible. Thus, the solubility of the second phase 16 in the first phase 12 is advantageously less than 5% by mass.

The particles 14 are dispersed in the first phase 12 advantageously in a homogeneous manner.

The particles 14 have an average diameter greater than 50 μm, preferably greater than 100 μm, in particular greater than 250 μm, in particular greater than 500 μm, or even greater than 1000 μm, and in particular between 50 μm and 3000 μm, preferably between 100 pm and 2000 pm, and better between 500 pm and 1500 pm.

The particles 14 are advantageously monodisperse. The monodisperse nature of the particles 14 can result from the implementation of a microfluidic process, in particular as described in WO2012 / 120043 and WO2017 / 046305.

Monodispersity can be defined and characterized according to the definitions and methods described in WO2012 / 120043 and WO2017 / 046305, the content of which is incorporated by reference.

Advantageously, the content of the particles 14 is preserved inside said particles during the filling of the product 10 in the packaging 5 and during its packaging in this packaging.

In general, product 10 corresponds to any product of the heart / rind type, in particular any product capable of being obtained by the methods described in FR2972371, FR3012050, WO2010 / 063937 or FR1752208, the contents of which are incorporated by reference.

As a variant, the product 10 corresponds to any other product with several phases known per se.

The product 10 is advantageously stabilized at the interface between the first phase 12 and the second phase 16, or even further between the second phase 16 and the third phase 18, in particular at an “oil / water” type interface, by a membrane of coacervation, as described in more detail, for example, in FR3041 251, the content of which is incorporated by reference.

The product 10 is advantageously stabilized by a gelled shell based on at least one polyelectrolyte, as described in more detail, for example, in

WO2010063937, the content of which is incorporated by reference.

Advantageously, the dispersed phase 16 also comprises at least one gelling agent as described in WO 2017/046305 to improve the mechanical resistance of the particles 14 of the product 10.

According to one embodiment, the first continuous phase 12 is suspensive with respect to the particles 14. Thus, the particles 14 remain suspended in the first phase 12 over an extended period of time, for example greater than 1 month, preferably greater than 3 months, and better more than 6 months.

According to another embodiment, the first continuous phase 12 is nonsuspensive with respect to the particles 14. Thus, with the naked eye, a separation of the particles 14 from the first continuous phase 12 is observed over a shorter period of time 1 month, preferably less than 15 days, better less than 1 week, or even less than 1 day. Such a product 10 according to the invention is then qualified as a two-phase product. This separation can result from sedimentation or creaming of the particles 14 in the first continuous phase 12.

The receiving surface 11 is formed by a keratin material of a user, for example the skin and / or the hair, preferably the skin.

The package 5 includes a first device 20 for packaging (i.e. containing and preserving) and dispensing the product 10, and a second device 25 for applying the product 10 to the receiving surface 11.

The first device 20 comprises a reservoir 27 for containing the product 10, a nozzle 29 for dispensing the product, and an actuation system 31 (diagrammatically shown), the reservoir 27 and the nozzle 29 together defining an interior volume 33 occupied by product 10.

The first device 20 is said to be “airless” in English, that is to say “without air” or more exactly “without air intake” in the reservoir 27. Such “airless” devices are known in themselves.

The first device 20 is for example of a first known type called "click pen" in English, that is to say analogous to a pen comprising a push button (not shown) in the actuation system 31.

According to another variant, the first device 20 is of a fourth known type called "twist pen", that is to say analogous to a pen comprising a rotary button (not shown) in the actuation system 31.

According to a particular embodiment, the first device 20 comprises a purge ring (not shown). The purge rings are elements known per se, generally useful for avoiding the presence of residual air in the product introduced into the container of a dispensing device of the "airless" type. Advantageously, the purge ring is as defined in PCT / EP2017 / 051251, the content of which is incorporated by reference.

The actuation system 31 therefore depends on the type to which the first device 20 belongs. The actuation system 31 is suitable in all cases for bringing out at least a portion of the product 10 from the first device 20 via the nozzle 29 without recovery of air in the interior volume 33 neither during nor after the stages of use of the product.

The tank 27 has an internal side wall 35, for example of cylindrical shape, and a piston 37 adapted to slide against the side wall along an axis D of the tank. The reservoir 27 advantageously has an elongated shape along the axis D. The reservoir 27 is advantageously at least partially transparent, so as to reveal the product 10 contained.

The piston 37 and the end piece 29 form two axial ends of the interior volume 33.

The nozzle 29 comprises an internal closure system 39, known in itself, adapted to isolate the product 10 contained in the internal volume 33 from the ambient air outside the stages of use of the product, the ambient air being located around the first device 20.

The end piece 29 also includes, for example, a cannula 41 in fluid communication with the internal volume 33 via the internal obturation system.

The end piece 29 defines at least one orifice 43 for the outlet of the product 10.

The internal sealing system 39 is adapted to allow the product 10 to pass selectively during the stages of use, preferably without altering the integrity of the particles 14.

The orifice 43 is advantageously located at a distal end of the cannula 41. The end piece 29, in particular the orifice 43, has a diameter suitable for allowing at least part of the product 10 to pass without altering the integrity of the particles 14.

The second application device 25 is fixed to the first packaging and distribution device 20.

As a variant, the second device 25 is adapted to be fixed to the first device 20 by an operator, for example the user of the assembly 1, advantageously by snap-fastening on the end piece 29.

Advantageously, the second device 25 is removable, and adapted so that it can be cleaned separately from the first device 20.

Alternatively, the second application device 25 is fixed to the first packaging and distribution device 20 via any type of intermediary.

According to yet another variant (not shown), the package 5 comprises one or more other devices for applying the product selectively interchangeable with the second device 25 so as to propose different types of application.

The second device 25 comprises a base 45 for fixing to the first device 20, and an applicator member 47 secured to the base.

In the example shown, the base 45 surrounds the end piece 29 around the axis D. The base 45 forms, for example, a hollow disc threaded onto the cannula 41.

The applicator member 47 defines an application face 49 intended to be applied to the receiving surface 11. The applicator member 47 and the base 45 together define a housing 51 opening onto the application face 49.

According to a variant not shown, the housing 51 is defined only by the applicator member 47.

The applicator member 47 is movable between a configuration at rest, shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, and a partially crushed configuration, not shown, which is deduced from the configuration at rest by applying the application face 49 to the surface. reception 11.

In the example shown in FIG. 2, the second device 25 forms a brush, the applicator member 47 being formed by keratin fibers, in particular hairs 53, for example goat hair, horse hair, especially horsehair, and their mixtures, the distal ends 55 of which form the application face 49.

The second device 25 forms, for example, a “kabuki” type brush, that is to say that the bristles 53 are arranged on the base 45 so as to form a crown 56. For example, in the configuration at rest, the crown is substantially of revolution around the axis D.

In the partially crushed configuration, the brush is deformed by applying the bristles 53 to the application surface 11.

The crown 56 has an external lateral surface 57 situated substantially in the axial extension of the lateral wall 35 of the reservoir 27, and an internal lateral surface 59 delimiting the housing 51 radially from the axis D.

The end piece 29 is adapted to distribute the product 10 in the housing 51.

The product outlet orifice 43 is located in the housing 51, advantageously away from the internal lateral surface 59. Advantageously, the orifice 43 is located substantially in the middle of the housing 51, radially and advantageously axially.

The operation of the assembly 1 is deduced from its structure and will now be briefly described. It also illustrates a method according to the invention.

Outside the stages of use, the product 10 remains in the interior volume 33, advantageously sheltered from air thanks to the side wall 35, the piston 37 and the internal shutter system 39.

During the stages of use of the product 10, a user acts on the actuation system 31 in a manner linked to the type of the first device 20, by applying pressure or a twist in general, to dispense at least part of the product 10. A portion of the product 10 moves from the reservoir 27 via the cannula 29 and the internal closure system 39. This portion exits through the orifice 43 and forms a mass 61 of product 10 (FIG. 1) first in the housing 51. The cluster 61 already possibly extends partly outside the housing 51.

The piston 37 slides so that the internal volume 33 decreases in a proportion corresponding to the portion of product 10 dispensed. Ambient air does not enter interior volume 33, neither during distribution nor afterwards.

At this stage, the particles 14 of the product 10 retain their integrity in the cluster 61 and remain advantageously distributed homogeneously in the cluster.

Then, the user applies the application face 49 to the receiving surface 11 and advantageously performs spreading on this receiving surface 11, in particular by brushing this surface. This deforms the applicator member 47 from the configuration at rest to the partially crushed configuration. This has the effect of transferring the cluster 61, at least in part, onto the receiving surface 11, breaking at least part of the particles 14, preferably all of them.

Thanks to the characteristics described above, the packaging 5 allows, at the time of distribution, to preserve the integrity of the particles 14, and, at the time of application, to allow at least partial destruction of the particles 14 according to the cosmetic purpose, in particular make-up, desired. Preserving the integrity of particles 14 before application is particularly attractive to users. The application of product 10 is done in an easy and homogeneous manner.

The packaging 5 advantageously allows repeatability of the quality of application of the product 10 deposited, and avoids denaturation over time of the product 10 packaged in the first device 20 during the entire lifetime of the assembly 1.

In particular, the packaging 5 prevents or reduces the risk of a “phase shift” (mixing of the two phases before application), of formation of agglomerates of particles 14 and / or of adhesion of the particles to each other. and at the walls of the tank

The second device 25 is advantageously removable, in particular for:

The assembly 101 differs in that it includes a second device 125, intended to apply the product 10, which does not form a brush. In the example shown, the second device 125 includes an applicator member 147 made of foam (solid, as opposed to a liquid foam).

The applicator member 147 defines a housing 151 in which the product is distributed 10. The cannula 29 (not shown in FIG. 3) opens into the housing 151, or as a variant slightly below the bottom of the housing 151 so as to distribute the product 10 in the housing.

The housing 151 forms for example a recognizable pattern in view along the axis D, in "Y" in the example shown.

According to other embodiments, the applicator member 147 comprises, or is formed by, a metal, a plastic, keratin fibers, and their mixtures.
