The interior assembly (1) includes:

Vehicle interior assembly with mobile tablet

The invention generally relates to vehicle interior assemblies fitted with shelves.

More specifically, the invention according to a first aspect relates to an interior assembly of a vehicle, the interior assembly comprising:

- a structure having an internal housing;

- a tablet extending mainly in a first direction and a second direction different from the first;

a device for connecting the tablet to the structure, adapted so that the tablet is movable relative to the structure in the first direction between a retracted position inside the internal housing and an extended position in which the tablet extends protruding from the internal housing.

WO 2010/044612 describes such an interior assembly.

A general concern of car manufacturers is to improve the user-friendliness of vehicles, and therefore to extend the functionality offered by equipment in the passenger compartment.

To this end, the invention relates to an interior assembly of a vehicle of the aforementioned type, the device for connecting the tablet to the structure is adapted so that the tablet is movable relative to the structure from the extended position according to the second direction.

Thus, the tablet can not only be deployed outside the structure, but also can be moved transversely, typically either towards the driver or towards the passenger of the vehicle. It is more convenient to use.

The set may also have one or more of the characteristics below, considered individually or in any technically possible combination:

- the tablet is movable relative to the structure from the position extended in the second direction in a first direction and a second direction opposite one another to positions offset to the left and to the right respectively;

- The tablet moves in the first direction in a translational movement from the retracted position to the extended position;

- The tablet moves in the second direction in a translational movement from the extended position to a position shifted to the left or to a position shifted to the right;

- The tablet is movable relative to the structure in the first direction to at least one intermediate position between the retracted position and the extended position, a cup holder formed in the tablet being located outside the internal housing in the intermediate position of the tablet;

- The tablet has an upper surface facing upwards in which the cup holder is provided, the assembly also comprising a movable flap relative to the tablet between a first position in which the cup holder is accessible and a second position in which the cup holder is hidden by the flap;

- The upper surface has a main zone and a hollow zone relative to the main zone, the cup holder being formed in the hollow zone, the flap in the second position extending in the hollow zone and being placed in the continuity of the main area;

- The assembly includes a connection of the flap to the tablet and / or to the structure, configured so that, when the tablet passes from the retracted position to the intermediate position, the flap passes to its first position;

- the tablet has a touch keyboard;

- The tablet has a control interface, arranged on a side of the tablet, configured to control at least the movement of the tablet between the retracted position and the extended position;

- the structure has a visible external surface, the control interface being a continuation of the visible external surface when the tablet is in the retracted position.

According to a second aspect, the invention relates to a vehicle comprising an interior assembly having the above characteristics.

Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the detailed description which is given below, by way of indication and in no way limitative, with reference to the appended figures, among which:

- Figure 1 is a perspective view of part of an interior assembly according to the invention, the shelf being in the retracted position;

- Figures 2, 3, 4 and 5 are other perspective views of the assembly of Figure 1, showing the tablet respectively in the intermediate position, in the extended position, in the position shifted to the left and in the position shifted to the right; and

- Figure 6 is a view similar to that of Figure 5, showing the tablet when the touch keyboard is activated.

The interior assembly 1 shown in FIG. 1 is intended to be preferably integrated into the passenger compartment of a vehicle. This vehicle is typically a motor vehicle, for example a car or a truck.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the interior assembly 1 comprises a structure 3 having an internal housing 5, a shelf 7 and a device 9 for connecting the shelf to the structure 3.

The structure 3 is for example the dashboard of the vehicle. As a variant, the structure 3 is a central console arranged between the two front seats of the vehicle, or any other suitable structure.

The tablet 7 mainly extends in a first direction and a second direction different from the first. By this is meant that the shelf 7 has in the first and second directions dimensions much greater than its dimension in a third direction, perpendicular to the first and second directions. The tablet 7 thus has a flattened shape.

The tablet 7 has all kinds of shape. It has an upper surface 11, facing upwards, intended to be used by the passengers of the vehicle for different uses. The upper surface is of suitable shape and size, in particular so that passengers can place one or more glasses on this surface, a plate, A4 paper documents, a laptop, etc.

In the example shown, the upper surface 11 is planar. Alternatively, it has recessed or projecting reliefs.

Typically, the first and second directions are contained in the plane defined by the upper surface 11 of the tablet.

The connection 9 of the tablet 7 to the structure 3 is configured so that the tablet is movable relative to the structure 3 in the first direction between a retracted position inside the internal housing 5 and an extended position in which the tablet 7 extends projecting from the internal housing 5. The retracted position is shown in FIG. 1, the extended position in FIG. 3.

In the example shown in the figures, the first direction corresponds to the longitudinal direction, that is to say to the direction of normal movement of the vehicle. The tablet moves from the retracted position to the extended position in a longitudinal movement, from the front to the rear of the vehicle. As a variant, the first direction does not correspond to the longitudinal direction of normal movement of the vehicle and is in any other orientation.

The internal housing 5 typically has a shape combined with that of the tablet 7. It is open in the first direction, and therefore has an opening 13, visible in FIG. 1. The opening 13 is of a shape adapted to allow the passage of the tablet 7 when the latter moves between its retracted position and its extended position.

Advantageously, the tablet 7 moves in a translational movement from the retracted position to the extended position. The translational movement takes place in the first direction.

The connecting device 9 comprises for example a slide connection configured to allow the longitudinal displacement of the shelf between the retracted position and the extended position.

In the extended position, the shelf 7 projects out of the housing 5 over most of its length in the first direction. In the retracted position, the shelf 7 is preferably entirely housed in the housing 5.

According to an advantageous aspect of the invention, the device 9 for connecting the shelf 7 to the structure 3 is adapted so that the shelf 7 is movable from the extended position in the second direction.

Preferably, the shelf 7 is movable relative to the structure 3 from the position extended in the second direction in a first direction and a second direction opposite to each other to positions shifted to the left and to right respectively.

The second direction is typically perpendicular to the first direction. When the first direction is longitudinal, the second direction is therefore transverse. In the example shown in the figures, it is therefore possible to shift the shelf 7 from the extended position shown in Figure 3 either towards the driver (see Figure 4) or towards the passenger (see Figure 5).

The tablet 7 moves in the second direction in both directions by several centimeters from its exit position. Preferably, the amplitude of the displacement in the second direction corresponds to a maximum of a quarter of the dimension of the tablet in the second direction. The range of travel is chosen to allow good ergonomics for the driver and / or passenger. In other words, the tablet should be offset enough to the right or left to allow the driver or passenger to use it ergonomically. In addition, this offset must allow the driver in the event of autonomous driving to be able to regain control of the vehicle without being hindered by the tablet.

The tablet 7 advantageously moves in a translational movement in the second direction from the extended position to the position shifted to the left and to the position shifted to the right.

To this end, the device 9 for connecting the shelf to the structure typically comprises a slide link 17 adapted to allow the translational movement of the shelf 7 relative to the structure 3 between the position shifted to the left, the extended position and the position shifted to the right.

According to an advantageous alternative embodiment, the connecting device 9 is in the form of a cooperation of complementary shapes between the shelf 7 and the structure 3. For example, the connecting device 9 comprises one or more grooves made in the structure 3, and one or more slides carried by the shelf 7 and each engaged in a groove. Each slide has a cross section complementary to that of the corresponding groove, and has for example a dovetail shape. The grooves and slides extend in the first direction and / or in the second direction.

According to an advantageous aspect visible in FIG. 2, the device 9 for connecting the shelf 7 to the structure 3 is configured so that the shelf 7 can be moved in the first direction to at least one intermediate position between the retracted position and the extended position .

A cup holder 19 formed in the shelf 7 is located outside the housing 5 in the intermediate position of the shelf 7.

Alternatively, the connecting device 9 is adapted so that the tablet can adopt a plurality of intermediate positions, staggered longitudinally between the retracted position and the extended position. In this case, the shelf 7 advantageously comprises several cup holders. Only one of the cup holders is located outside the housing 5 in a first intermediate position, two cup holders in a second intermediate position and so on.

In the or each intermediate position, only part of the shelf 7 is located outside the housing 5, this part being smaller than in the extended position.

As can be seen in the figures, the cup holder 19 is formed in the upper surface 11 of the shelf.

The cup holder 19 is of any suitable shape and type. For example, the cup holder 19 is a hollow shape, open upwards. The cup holder typically has a frustoconical shape converging from top to bottom.

Advantageously, the assembly 1 also comprises a flap 23 movable relative to the shelf 7 between a first position (Figure 2) in which the cup holder 19 is accessible and a second position (Figure 3) in which the cup holder 19 is hidden by the flap 23.

In the example shown, the upper surface 11 comprises a main zone 25 and a zone 27 recessed relative to the main zone.

The cup holder 19 is formed in the hollow area 27. The flap 23, in its second position, extends into the hollow area 27 and is thus placed in continuity with the main area 25.

By this is meant that the flap 23 extends the main zone 25 with practically no solution of continuity. Advantageously, the main zone 25 and the flap 23 together form a flat, continuous surface, suitable for placing objects.

The flap 23 is of any type. It is rigid, or flexible. It is in one piece, or comprises a plurality of blades hinged to each other.

According to an advantageous aspect of the invention, the assembly 1 comprises a connection 29 of the flap 23 to the shelf 7 and / or to the structure 3, configured so that, when the shelf 7 passes from the retracted position to the intermediate position, the flap 23 passes to its first position.

For example, the link 29 comprises a slide link 30 of the flap 23 to the shelf 7, and an elastic member (not shown) connecting the flap 23 to the structure 3.

The slide link 30 is configured to guide the flap 23 between its first and its second position in the first direction.

The elastic member recalls the flap 23 towards the inside of the housing 5, in the first direction.

Thus, when the tablet 7 is in the retracted position, the flap 23 is typically in the second position, and covers the cup holder 19. When the tablet moves from the retracted position to the intermediate position, initially the flap 23 remains at interior of the housing 5 due to the return force of the elastic member, while the tablet 7 moves in the first direction. This has the effect that the flap 23 moves relative to the shelf 7 and discovers the cup holder 19.

According to an exemplary embodiment, the flap 23 is not driven with the tablet 7 when the latter passes from its retracted position to its extended position. Thus, the flap 23 remains inside the housing 5 when the tablet 7 reaches the extended position.

Advantageously, the flap 23 comprises a handle 31 which is placed outside the internal housing 5, or in the opening 13, in the retracted position of the tablet. When the shelf 7 is in its extended position or in the intermediate position, with the flap 23 in its first position, that is to say inside the housing 5, it is possible for a passenger to grasp the handle 31 and to manually move the flap 23 from its first to its second position.

Typically, the tablet 7 has a blocking allowing the flap 23 to be hooked to the tablet 7 reversibly in the second position. This blocking is effective when the tablet 7 is in the extended or intermediate position. However, when the tablet 7 is returned to its retracted position, the flap 23 is automatically released and is no longer blocked relative to the tablet 7.

Advantageously, the tablet 7 includes a touch keyboard 33, visible in the figure

6. The touch keyboard 33 is integrated into the upper surface 11. Typically, part of the keyboard 33 is integrated into the upper surface 11, and another part is integrated into the flap 23. As a variant, the keyboard 33 is fully integrated into the upper surface 11.

The keyboard 33 is capable of adopting an active state and an inactive state. In the active state, represented in FIG. 6, the keys 35 of the touch keyboard 33 are functional and are made visible by a backlight integrated into the tablet. In the inactive state (see Figures 3 to 5 for example), the keys 35 are inactive and the backlight is off. The keyboard 33 is therefore not visible.

The keyboard 33 is designed to interact with a screen (not shown) arranged inside the vehicle.

According to an advantageous aspect of the invention, the tablet 7 comprises a control interface 37, arranged on the edge 39 of the tablet.

As can be seen in the figures, in addition to the upper surface 11, the shelf 7 has a lower surface 40, facing downwards, the upper 11 and lower 40 surfaces being connected to each other by the edge 39. The latter is of low height compared to the length of the shelf 7 taken in the first direction or the width of the shelf 7 taken in the second direction. The interface 37 is placed on a section of the wafer 39 facing away from the housing 5 in the first direction.

Thus, the control interface 37 is a continuation of the visible external surface 41 of the structure 3 when the tablet is in the retracted position. This situation is illustrated in FIG. 1. For example, the interface 37 fits into the opening 13.

Typically, the device 9 for connecting the tablet 7 to the structure 3 is motorized, and is controlled by the control interface 37.

Thus, the control interface 37 is configured to control at least the movement of the tablet 7 between its retracted position and its extended position. Preferably, the control interface 37 is configured to control the movement of the tablet between its different positions: the retracted position, the intermediate position, the extended position, the position shifted to the left and the position shifted to the right.

According to an alternative embodiment, only the movement of the tablet in the first direction is motorized, the control interface controlling only the movement of the tablet between the retracted position, the intermediate position and the extended position.

According to another variant, only the movement of the tablet in the second direction is motorized, the control interface 37 controlling only the movement of the tablet between the position shifted to the left, the extended position and the position shifted to the right.

According to another variant, the movement of the shutter is also motorized, the control interface 37 controlling the movement of the shutter 23 relative to the tablet

The control interface 37 preferably also controls the touch keyboard 33, and in particular the switching between the inactive state and the active state.

In the example shown in FIG. 1, the control interface 37 includes a plurality of tactile keys, a key 43 for controlling the tactile keyboard 35 and two keys 45 for controlling the movements of the tablet 7.
