Abstract

Description

Technical area

The present invention relates to the technical field of packaging abrasive sheets, having dimensions of the order of 230 x 280 mm, for carrying out manual surface sanding works.

Prior art

In the prior art, the abrasive sheets are generally presented in a bundle, stacked on top of each other in groups of 3 to 5 or more, and held together by means of a specific packaging on which characteristics appear. abrasive sheet techniques.

In general, the packaging comprises a support panel of rectangular shape, produced from a cardboard sheet, and against which is stacked the plurality of abrasive sheets of dimensions smaller than those of the panel.

Upper and lower flaps extend the upper and lower transverse edges of the support panel, being connected to these by fold lines.

The upper and lower flaps are immobilized in the folded position against the abrasive sheets, preferably by staples passing through both the flaps, the abrasive sheets and the support panel. The length of the flaps is such that an access window remains between them allowing the abrasive of the first abrasive sheet conditioned in the packaging to be touched.

In general, the packaging allows its presentation for sale, generally by hanging on a pin or hook of a display, and, allows the user to touch the abrasive of a sheet to check the grain size before to buy.

One of the aims of the invention is therefore to remedy these drawbacks by proposing packaging which makes it more profitable to use.

To this end, a package of abrasive sheets is proposed, produced from a cardboard sheet and comprising:

a support panel of rectangular shape against which is stacked a plurality of abrasive sheets of dimensions smaller than those of the support panel;

upper and lower flaps extending the upper and lower transverse edges of the support panel, by being connected to these by fold lines, the flaps are immobilized in the folded position against the abrasive sheets, the length of the flaps being such that it between them there remains an access window enabling the abrasive of the first abrasive sheet conditioned in the packaging to be touched.

According to the invention, the cardboard sheet comprises crease lines defining manual folding zones for the formation of a sanding block, and the panel comprises weakening lines allowing, after cutting, to insert and maintain on the holds an abrasive sheet to carry out sanding operations.

Thus, the invention makes it possible to give the abrasive sheet packaging a function distinct from the formation of the packaging, and directly linked to the use of the abrasive sheets, in order to make its use more profitable. According to a particular embodiment, the creasing lines comprise:

at least four parallel longitudinal creasing lines extending over the entire length of the cardboard sheet, delimiting a central body bordered on each side by two identical strips, respectively intermediate and lateral;

at least seven parallel transverse creasing lines extending over the entire width of the cardboard sheet, delimiting eight sections; first inclined creasing lines formed in rectangular zones located both in the intermediate strips and in the third section, each first inclined creasing line forms a diagonal of the rectangular zone, oriented towards the inside of the cardboard sheet in the direction a second transverse edge of the cardboard sheet; second inclined creasing lines formed in rectangular zones located both in the lateral strips and in the third section, each second inclined creasing line forms a diagonal of the rectangular zone, oriented towards the outside of the cardboard sheet in the direction the second transverse edge of the cardboard sheet;

Detailed Description of the Invention

The presentation for sale of a bundle (2) of abrasive sheets (31) is ensured by the packaging (1) illustrated in FIG. 1. The packaging (1) is produced from a cardboard sheet (5) and comprises a support panel (3a) of rectangular shape against which is stacked the plurality of abrasive sheets (31) of dimensions smaller than those of the support panel (3a).

The upper and lower transverse edges are extended by upper and lower flaps (3b, 3c), linked to the support panel (3a) by fold lines.

The flaps (3b, 3c) are immobilized in the folded position against the abrasive sheets (31), preferably by staples passing through both the flaps (3b, 3c), the abrasive sheets (31) and the support panel (3a). . The length of the flaps (3b, 3c) is such that there remains between them an access window making it possible to touch the abrasive of the first abrasive sheet (31) packaged in the package (1). Referring to Figure 3, which shows the cardboard sheet (5) in which the package (1) is formed, the inner face of this cardboard sheet (5) comprises at least four parallel longitudinal grooving lines (6) s' extending over the entire length of the cardboard sheet (5). The longitudinal creasing lines (6) delimit between them a central body (7) bordered on each side by two identical strips, respectively an intermediate strip (8) and a lateral strip (9). The width of the central body (7) represents approximately two thirds of the width of the cardboard sheet (5).

The internal face of the cardboard sheet (5) also comprises at least seven transverse creasing lines (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) parallel extending over the entire width of the cardboard sheet (5), by delimiting, eight sections (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H).

More specifically, four transverse creasing lines (10, 11, 12, 13) are arranged in about the first half of the cardboard sheet (5), starting from a first transverse edge (5a). The four transverse creasing lines (10, 11, 12, 13) delimit five sections (A, B, C, D, E), including two lateral sections (A, E) substantially identical in size, and three central sections (B , C, D) identical and about half as long as the side sections (B, C, D).

One of the transverse creasing lines (14) substantially delimits half of the cardboard sheet (5), and the other two transverse creasing lines (15, 16), which are located on the second half of the cardboard sheet (5) , delimit two lateral sections (F, H) and a central section (G). The lateral sections (F, H) being approximately twice as long as the central section (G).

The central (B, D, C) and respectively lateral (A, E) sections of the first half of the cardboard sheet (5) are substantially of the same dimensions as the central section (G) and respectively the lateral sections (F, H ) from the second half of the cardboard sheet (5).

The internal face of the cardboard sheet (5) also includes first inclined creasing lines (17), formed in rectangular zones located both in the intermediate strips (8) and in the third section (C). Each first inclined creasing line (17) forms a diagonal of the rectangular area, oriented towards the inside of the cardboard sheet (5) towards a second transverse edge (5b) of the cardboard sheet (5).

Second inclined creasing lines (18) are formed in rectangular areas located both in the side strips (9) and in the third section (C). Each second inclined creasing line (18) forms a diagonal of the rectangular area, oriented towards the outside of the cardboard sheet (5) in the direction of the second transverse edge (5b) of the cardboard sheet (5).

Third inclined creasing lines (19) are formed in rectangular areas located both in the side strips (9) and in the sixth section (F). Each third inclined creasing line (19) forms a diagonal of the rectangular area, oriented towards the outside of the cardboard sheet (5) in the direction of the second transverse edge (5b) of the cardboard sheet (5).

The part of the cardboard sheet (5) located both in the fourth section (D) and in the central body (7), is bordered by weakening lines (20a), such as precut or perforation lines, allowing its cutting.

The part of the cardboard sheet (5) located both in the sixth section (F) and in the central body (7), is bordered by two transverse weakening lines (21a, 22a) allowing the production of insertion slots (21, 22) of an abrasive sheet (31).

Preferably, the crease lines are clearly marked by impressions and associated with instructions and recommendations on shaping.

Referring to Figure 2, when a user wants to use the abrasive sheets (31) for sanding operations, he removes the staples, spreads the flaps (3b, 3c) upper and lower, which correspond respectively to the first section (A ) and at

-7th section (H). The user then removes the abrasive sheets (31) from their sales packaging.

Following the instructions, the user folds the side strips (9) against the intermediate strips (8), as shown in Figures 4 and 5.

It then forms the structure of a sanding block (34) by straightening the first three sections (A, B, C) as shown in Figure 6. This results, by the first, second, and third creasing lines inclined (17, 18, 19), to locally straighten the lateral strips (9) to give them a direction substantially perpendicular to a central part (Fc) of the cardboard sheet (5) located both in the central body (7) and in the sixth section (F).

Fe assembly of the wedge (34) is continued by winding the central body (7) on itself, as shown in Figures 7 to 9. At the end of winding, the second transverse edge (5b) of the cardboard sheet (5), namely the edge of the eighth section (H), is engaged in an opening (20) resulting from the cutting of the area located both in the fourth section (D) and in the central body (7) and along the lines of embrittlement (2a0), as shown in FIG. 10. This locks the mounting and the shape of the shim (34).

The assembly of the wedge (34) thus formed constitutes a compact structure which, as shown in FIG. 11, is all the more resistant as it is reinforced by portions (9a) previously straightened, corresponding in particular to the parts located at the same time in the fourth section (D) and in the side strips (9). Fa cale (34) obtained is very pleasant to handle because it is very rigid, easy to take in hand and suitable for all hand sizes. By its thin end, referenced (30) in Figure 11, it allows access to small areas and areas protected by returns.

Fa cale (34) is used with an abrasive sheet (31) having, apart from the clearance, the width of the central body (7) and of the slots (21, 22) resulting from the cutting of the transverse weakening lines (21a, 22a ). Fa abrasive sheet (31) is put in place, before conformation of the shim (34), by engagement in the slot (22), to pass under the central part (Fc) of the section (F), from which it emerges through the slot (21). The wedge (34) can be left as it is, without fear that internal stresses 5 develop its structure and deteriorate it.

Figure 14 shows that, thanks to its sloping shape with a flat back (32), it can be placed in the inverted state on a fragile surface, without risking damaging this surface.

In this embodiment, a rear face of the cardboard sheet (5) carries regulatory indications on the nature of the abrasive, the size of its grains, the material that can be sanded and the quality of sanding, while its face front has folding and processing instructions. Of course, without departing from the scope of the invention, the folding and processing instructions can also be printed on the rear face of the cardboard sheet (5).

It emerges from this description that the invention makes it possible, without penalizing additional cost and without modification of the products, to add an additional function to the packaging (1) for conditioning the abrasive sheets (31) and to obtain an accessory improving the attractiveness of this packaging, since it leads the user to save the cost of a standard wedge (34).
