Abstract

The invention relates to a packaging device and a method for packaging a product in which: - a semi-rigid sleeve is produced, open at its two ends (8A, 8B) each extended by tabs (3A, 5A, 6A, 3B, 4B, 5B) straight and bevelled tabs, - the tabs are glued on their outer face, - a covering sheet (7) is applied to the outer faces of the sleeve, the covering sheet (7) closed on itself covering the sleeve (2) to constitute the packaging device (10), the sheet being held by gluing on the tongues, - the product is placed in the packaging device (10), - the the packaging device (10) by folding the tabs. An air gap can be left between the cover sheet and the sleeve between the glued tabs at the ends of the sleeve.

Description

The technical sector of the present invention is that of packaging and in particular gift wrapping. The packaging of gifts with a sheet of gift paper is often tedious and requires a certain level of practice to achieve a neat presentation in a reduced time.

US-8387346 teaches a multilayer sheet comprising a decorative face and an inner face on which is indicated a location for a box containing the object to be packaged. The sheet incorporates two side adhesive strips on its inner side and an adhesive strip on its decorative side to hold the folded sheet around the box containing the object to be wrapped. The multilayer sheet used, however, is of complex manufacture. In addition the dimensions of the box to be packaged are imposed by those of the decorative sheet used.

US-8474619 teaches a gift box receiving a cardboard interior structure. The housing is made by a cartelette cut and folded. Before folding, the cartelette is covered by a sheet glued on its faces and folded partially on its inner faces. The housing receives a foldable interior structure. The making of such a housing is however relatively complex especially for industrialization.

The patent application US-2013/0051705 relates to a convertible gift bag gift box. A rigid structure can be shaped and inserted into the bag to stiffen it. In addition, the handles of the bag can be left inside the bag while a flap can be unfolded to form a lid. The convertible bag, however, requires a particular structure comprising many bends and therefore complex manufacturing.

The present invention aims to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art by providing a method of packaging and presentation of a product whose implementation is simplified.

This objective is achieved by a method of packaging a product in which: - a semi-rigid sleeve is made open at both ends, each end being extended by tongues of which at least one tongue out of two is beveled, the tongues are glued on their outer face, a covering sheet is applied to the outer faces of the sleeve, the wrapping sheet closed on itself covering the sleeve to constitute a packaging device, the sheet being held by gluing on the tongues, - the product is placed in the packaging device, - the packaging device (10) is closed by folding the tabs.

According to a feature of the invention, between the tabs at the ends of the sleeve, an air gap is disposed between the cover sheet and the sleeve.

According to another feature of the invention, in order to produce the sleeve: - longitudinal folds are made on a cardboard plate to delimit the faces of the sleeve, the cardboard plate is cut on its two ends to form straight tabs and successively beveled tabs alternating, - two side edges of the board are joined together to form the sleeve.

According to another particularity of the invention, at least two of the longitudinal folds are made opposite each other so as to be able to flatten the sleeve of the packaging device, the sleeve being reshaped before disposing of the product in the packaging device.

According to another particularity of the invention, the inner face of one of the tongues is also adhered to each end of the sleeve, the covering sheet being folded down and held by gluing on this inner face glued to each end of the sleeve.

According to another particularity of the invention, the product is furthermore disposed in a housing whose dimensions correspond to those of the inside of the sleeve, this housing receiving the product being engaged in the sleeve to dispose the product in the device. packaging.

Another subject of the invention relates to a device for packaging a product characterized in that it comprises a semi-rigid sleeve open at both ends and a covering sheet applied to the outer faces of the sleeve and closed on itself so as to cover the sleeve, each end of the sleeve being extended by tabs of which at least one tongue out of two is beveled, tabs whose outer faces are held by gluing to the trim sheet.

According to another feature, the packaging device according to the invention comprises an air knife disposed between the covering sheet and the sleeve, between the tabs at the ends of the sleeve.

According to another feature, the tabs are in the form of straight tabs and beveled tabs alternately alternating.

According to another feature, the sleeve comprises longitudinal folds defining the faces of the sleeve and a product receiving housing slidably mounted in the sleeve.

According to another particularity, at least two of the folds are disposed opposite one another so that the sleeve and the covering sheet held on the latter are foldable flat.

According to another feature, the trim sheet comprises at each end, a flap glued to an inner face of one of the tongues, while the opposite tab is covered on the outside by an adhesive element.

A first advantage is that the implementation of the packaging process is simplified. Industrialization is notably easier to achieve. A variety of packaging devices can easily be envisaged.

A further advantage is that an air gap can be left between the sleeve and the trim sheet which can fit freely with respect to the sleeve. The presentation is particularly neat.

Another advantage of the present invention lies in the fact that the packaging device can be used for products of various sizes. The packaging device makes indeed a rigid container, the sliding housing inside the sleeve being optional.

Another advantage of the present invention is that the packaging and presentation method easily allows the manufacture of packaging devices of various sections, such as packaging devices of rectangular, hexagonal or octagonal section. The invention will now be described in more detail. The steps described in FIG. 8 are illustrated successively in relation to FIGS. 1 to 7. FIG. 1 shows a cardboard plate before the junction between them of its two lateral edges 19 and 20 to form the sleeve.

Longitudinal folds 11, 12, 13, 14 delimit the faces 15, 16, 17 and 18 each extended by two tongues.

Folds 23 and 24 are also made transversely to the tongues so that the tongues 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 3B, 4B, 5B and 6B fold along a predetermined line.

The longitudinal folds 11, 12, 13 and 14 extend over the entire length of the board. The three longitudinal folds 11, 12 and 13 are each made at the separation of two faces. The longitudinal fold 14 is made between a face 18 and the junction flange disposed on a lateral side 20 of the wafer.

Straight tabs are formed by cuts at the location of the longitudinal folds.

The beveled tongues are for example formed by cutting straight tabs and bevel cuts.

The tabs are here in the form of straight tabs 3A, 5A, 3B and 5B and beveled tabs 4A, 6A, 4B and 6B successively alternated at each end.

The sleeve is formed by joining together the two side edges 19 and 20.

FIG. 2 represents a perspective view of the sleeve 2. The sleeve 2 made of semi-rigid material, such as a cardboard plate, is open at its two ends 8A and 8B. Each end is extended by the tongues 3A, 5A, 6A, 3B, 4B, 5B and 6B.

The sleeve 2 here has a rectangular profile section but sleeves having a different profile such as a square profile, octagonal or hexagonal can of course be made.

The glued areas are indicated by hatching. The outer face of each tongue is glued. The cover sheet can thus be fixed on the tabs. The covering sheet closed on itself covers the outer faces 15 and 18 of the sleeve 2 and at least partly the outer faces of the tongues.

In a nonlimiting manner, the sheet may be applied to the outer faces of the sleeve and then joined on two opposite edges, the sheet being thus closed on itself.

The sheet can also be closed on itself and then slid around the sleeve before gluing the tabs for fixing. The tongues may in particular be folded towards the inside of the sleeve to be glued and then unfolded towards the sheet to be fixed thereto.

The inner face 21B of one of the tabs 4B at each end of the sleeve 2 is also glued. Thus the cover sheet may be folded and held by gluing on the inner face 21B.

The packaging device with its tabs not folded at its two ends 8A and 8B is shown in Figure 3. The sheet 7 covers the outer faces of the sleeve including at least partially the outer faces of the tabs. Here the straight tabs 3B, 5B, 3A and 5A protrude from either side of the sheet 7. The covering sheet 7 completely covers the beveled tabs. A fold 7A of the covering sheet 7 is formed on the inner face of a tongue tapered at each end.

The glued areas are represented by transparency for a better understanding of the drawing but do not appear in the concrete embodiment if the cover sheet 7 is not transparent.

Between the areas glued on the tabs, the cover sheet can remain free relative to the sleeve. An air gap may be disposed between the cover sheet and the sleeve. In this way the sheet can fit best around the sleeve during its shaping. The trapped air gives the packaging the same appearance as a manual packaging.

There is also shown a zone 25 for covering the covering sheet 7 closed on itself. This zone 25 extends longitudinally from one end to the other. The covering sheet 7 is for example closed on itself by gluing or welding. The dressing sheet can be made of gift wrap or plastic film.

The cover sheet 7 also joins the straight tabs to beveled tabs. Thus, when the straight tabs are folded inward, the beveled tongues are substantially driven inwardly by the covering sheet which facilitates the closure. Moreover, the covering sheet is stretched over the sleeve during the closure of the tabs.

Figure 4 shows a top view of the packaging device of Figure 3 after it has been flattened. The two folds 11 and 13 are in fact arranged opposite each other to allow this folding flat. The packaging device can thus be stored flat. Folds may remain apparent at the places provided for folding, because of a previous folding. The folding is thus facilitated during the fitness. Fixing the cover sheet to the tabs makes it possible to keep the cover sheet flat on the outside faces of the sleeve.

The sleeve is reshaped before the use of the packaging device 10, as shown in FIG.

The packaging device can then directly receive the product 1 to be stored or this product 1 can be arranged in a housing 9, as shown in FIG. 5. This housing 9 is intended to be introduced with the product 1 into the device of FIG. The outer dimensions of the casing correspond to the inner dimensions of the sleeve. The housing 9 is here of parallelepipedal shape and open on one side. The casing is slid into the sleeve.

After introducing the product into the packaging device, the packaging device 10 is closed by folding the tabs, as shown in Figure 6. The straight tabs are first folded. The angle of the bevel is chosen to allow sufficient clearance. For example for a rectangular profile sleeve, bevels at 45 degrees to the fold of the tongue allow to fold the right tabs at right angles while the beveled tongues are substantially driven to the closed position.

A bevel angle of less than or greater than 45 degrees could also be chosen. It can be provided beveled tabs more or less driven during the closure of the straight tabs.

The beveled tongues are then folded to completely close the packaging device, as shown in Figure 7. The tabs 4A and 4B folded last are those whose inner faces 21A and 21B have been glued and on which the cover sheet 7 is folded. The tongues beveled opposite them may each comprise an adhesive element 22A and 22B such as an adhesive tape. The adhesive element allows automatic attachment of two tongues beveled to one another.

It is also possible to glue an adhesive label on the outer faces of the tongues after their closure to fix them to one another.

Other closure means such as a ribbon tied around the closed packaging device can also be used.

It should be obvious to those skilled in the art that the present invention allows other embodiments. Therefore, the present embodiments should be considered as illustrating the invention.

A method of packaging a product (1) in which: - longitudinal folds (11, 12, 13, 14) are made on a cardboard plate to delimit the faces (15, 16, 17, 18) of a sleeve (2), the board is cut on its two ends to form straight tongues (3A, 5A, 3B, 5B) and beveled tongues (4A, 6A, 4B, 6B) successively alternating, - joined together two side edges (19, 20) of the board to form the sleeve (2) which is semi-rigid and open at both ends (8A, 8B), each end being extended by the tongues (3A, 4A, 5A). , 6A, 33, 4B, 5B, 6B) of which at least one in two is tapered, - the tongues are glued on their outer face, - a covering sheet (7) is applied to the outer faces of the sleeve (2) , the covering sheet (7) closed on itself covering the sleeve (2) to form a packaging device (10), the sheet being held by gluing on the tabs (3Ά, 4A, 5A, 6A, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B), the product (1) is arranged in the packaging device (10), the packaging device (10) is closed again folding the tabs (3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 33, 4B, 5B, 6B), and - between the tabs at the ends of the sleeve, an air gap is disposed between the cover sheet (7) and the sleeve . 2.
