Abstract

Packaging (1) for abrasive sheets (31), which is made from a sheet of cardboard (5), comprising: – a support panel (3a) of rectangular shape against which is stacked a plurality of abrasive sheets (31) of dimensions smaller than those of the support panel (3a); – upper and lower flaps (3b, 3c) extending the upper and lower transverse edges of the support panel (3a), being connected thereto by fold lines, the flaps (3b, 3c) are immobilized in the folded-over position against the abrasive sheets (31), the length of the flaps (3b, 3c) being such that there is left between them an access opening (13) that allows the abrasive of the first abrasive sheet (11) packaged in the packaging (1) to be touched. According to the invention, the cardboard sheet (5) comprises score lines (6, 10 – 19) defining zones for manual folding to form a sanding block (34), and the support panel (3a) comprises lines of weakness (20a, 21a, 22a) which, once the support panel (3a) has been cut along the lines of weakness (20a, 21a, 22a), allow an abrasive sheet (31) to be inserted and held on the block (34) in order to perform sanding operations.

Description

PACKAGING OF ABRASIVE SHEETS SUITABLE FOR FORMING A SANDING SHROUD

TECHNICAL AREA

The present invention relates to the technical field of packaging abrasive sheets, having dimensions of the order of 230 x 280 mm, for performing manual surface sanding. PRIOR ART

In the state of the art, the abrasive sheets are generally presented in bundles, stacked on top of each other in groups of 3 to 5 or more, and held together by means of a specific packaging on which appear characteristics techniques of abrasive sheets.

In general, the package comprises a rectangular-shaped support panel made from a cardboard sheet and against which is stacked the plurality of abrasive sheets smaller than those of the panel.

Upper and lower flaps extend the upper and lower transverse edges of the support panel, being connected thereto by fold lines.

The upper and lower flaps are immobilized in the folded position against the abrasive sheets, preferably by staples passing through both the flaps, the abrasive sheets and the support panel. The length of the flaps is such that there remains between them an access window to touch the abrasive of the first abrasive sheet packaged in the package.

In general, the packaging allows its presentation for sale, usually by suspending a pin or hook from a display, and, allows the user to touch the abrasive of a sheet to check the size of the grains before buy. From the act of purchase, the packaging only ensures the meeting and maintenance of abrasive sheets, and is discarded as soon as all the abrasive sheets of the group are used. This is a significant loss of material and labor, since the design and closure of the packaging is an important part of the value of the product.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION One of the aims of the invention is therefore to overcome these disadvantages by proposing a package that makes it more profitable to use.

For this purpose, it is proposed a pack of abrasive sheets, made from a cardboard sheet and comprising:

a support panel of rectangular shape against which is stacked a plurality of abrasive sheets of smaller dimensions than those of the support panel;

upper and lower flaps extending the upper and lower transverse edges of the support panel, being connected thereto by fold lines, the flaps are immobilized in the folded position against the abrasive sheets, the length of the flaps being such that there remains between them an access window for touching the abrasive of the first abrasive sheet packaged in the package. According to the invention, the cardboard sheet comprises crease lines defining manual folding zones for the formation of a sanding wedge, and the panel comprises weakening lines allowing, after cutting, to insert and maintain on the hold an abrasive sheet to carry out sanding operations. Thus, the invention makes it possible to give the packaging of abrasive sheets a function distinct from the formation of the packaging, and directly related to the use of the abrasive sheets, in order to make its use more profitable. The package can, indeed, be converted, in combination with an abrasive sheet, into a sanding wedge. According to a particular embodiment, the crease lines comprise: at least four parallel longitudinal crease lines extending over the entire length of the cardboard sheet, delimiting a central body bordered on each side by two identical strips, respectively intermediate and lateral;

at least seven parallel transverse score lines extending across the entire width of the card stock, defining eight sections;

first inclined crease lines formed in rectangular areas in both the intermediate strips and in the third section, each first inclined crease line forms a diagonal of the rectangular zone, facing the interior of the cardboard sheet in the direction of a second transverse edge of the cardboard sheet; second inclined crease lines formed in rectangular areas in both the side strips and in the third section, each second inclined crease line forms a diagonal of the rectangular, outwardly oriented area of the cardboard sheet in the the second transverse edge of the cardboard sheet;

third inclined score lines provided in rectangular areas in both the side strips and in the sixth section, each third inclined score line forms a diagonal of the rectangular, outwardly oriented zone of the cardboard sheet in the the second transverse edge of the cardboard sheet. According to another feature, the area of the cardboard sheet located both in the fourth section and in the central body is bordered by weakening lines for cutting.

Finally, the area of the cardboard sheet located both in the sixth section and in the central body is bordered by two transverse weakening lines allowing the realization of slots for insertion of an abrasive sheet. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The presentation for sale of a bundle (2) of abrasive sheets (31) is provided by the package (1) illustrated in FIG. 1. The packaging (1) is made from a cardboard sheet (5) and comprises a support panel (3a) of rectangular shape against which is stacked the plurality of abrasive sheets (31) of dimensions smaller than those of the support panel (3 a).

The upper and lower transverse edges are extended by upper and lower flaps (3b, 3c), bound to the support panel (3a) by fold lines.

The flaps (3b, 3c) are immobilized in the folded position against the abrasive sheets (31), preferably by staples passing through both the flaps (3b, 3c), the abrasive sheets (31) and the support panel (3a). . The length of the flaps (3b, 3c) is such that there remains between them an access window for touching the abrasive of the first abrasive sheet (31) packaged in the package (1). The flaps (3b, 3c) include on their external free face, impressions giving technical information about the abrasive sheets (31) and their use.

With reference to FIG. 3, which represents the cardboard sheet (5) in which the package (1) is formed, the internal face of this cardboard sheet (5) comprises at least four parallel longitudinal grooving lines (6) extending over the entire length of the cardboard sheet (5). The longitudinal crease lines (6) delimit between them a central body (7) bordered on each side by two identical strips, respectively an intermediate strip (8) and a lateral strip (9). The width of the central body (7) is about two-thirds the width of the cardboard sheet (5).

The inner face of the cardboard sheet (5) also comprises at least seven parallel transverse score lines (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) extending over the entire width of the cardboard sheet (5), delimiting eight sections (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H).

Specifically, four transverse score lines (10, 11, 12, 13) are disposed in about the first half of the card stock (5) from a first transverse edge (5a). The four transverse crease lines (10, 11, 12, 13) delimit five sections (A, B, C, D, E), of which two lateral sections (A, E) substantially identical in size, and three central sections (B , C, D) are identical and about half as long as the lateral sections (B, C, D).

One of the transverse score lines (14) substantially delimits half the cardboard sheet (5), and the other two transverse score lines (15, 16), which are located on the second half of the cardboard sheet (5) , delimit two lateral sections (F, H) and a central section (G). The lateral sections (F, H) being approximately twice as long as the central section (G).

The central (B, D, C) and respectively lateral (A, E) sections of the first half of the cardboard sheet (5) are substantially of the same dimensions as the central section (G) and the lateral sections (F, H, respectively). ) of the second half of the cardboard sheet (5). The inner face of the cardboard sheet (5) also comprises first inclined crease lines (17), formed in rectangular areas located both in the intermediate strips (8) and in the third section (C). Each first inclined crease line (17) forms a diagonal of the rectangular zone facing inwardly of the cardboard sheet (5) towards a second transverse edge (5b) of the cardboard sheet (5).

Second inclined crease lines (18) are formed in rectangular areas located both in the side strips (9) and in the third section (C). Each second inclined crease line (18) forms a diagonal of the rectangular, outwardly oriented area of the cardboard sheet (5) towards the second transverse edge (5b) of the cardboard sheet (5).

Third inclined creasing lines (19) are provided in rectangular areas in both the side strips (9) and in the sixth section (F). Each third inclined crease line (19) forms a diagonal of the rectangular, outwardly oriented area of the cardboard sheet (5) towards the second transverse edge (5b) of the cardboard sheet (5). The part of the cardboard sheet (5) located both in the fourth section (D) and in the central body (7) is bordered by weakening lines (20a), such as precut or perforation lines, allowing its cutting.

The part of the cardboard sheet (5) located both in the sixth section (F) and in the central body (7) is bordered by two transverse weakening lines (21a, 22a) allowing the realization of insertion slots (21, 22) of an abrasive sheet (31).

Preferably, the crease lines are clearly marked by impressions and associated with instructions and recommendations on the conformation.

With reference to FIG. 2, when a user wants to use the abrasive sheets (31) for sanding operations, he removes the staples, separates the upper and lower flaps (3b, 3c), which correspond respectively to the first section (A). ) and Eighth section (H). The user then removes the abrasive sheets (31) from their sales packaging.

Following the instructions, the user folds the side bands (9) against the intermediate strips (8), as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.

It then forms the structure of a sanding wedge (34) by straightening the first three sections (A, B, C) as shown in Figure 6. This results in the first, second, and third score lines inclined (17, 18, 19), to locally straighten the lateral strips (9) to give them a direction substantially perpendicular to a central portion (Fc) of the cardboard sheet (5) located both in the central body (7) and in the sixth section (F).

The assembly of the shim (34) is continued by winding the central body (7) on itself, as shown in FIGS. 7 to 9. At the end of the winding, the second transverse edge (5b) of the cardboard sheet (5 ), namely the edge of the eighth section (H), is engaged in an opening (20) resulting from the cutting of the area located both in the fourth section (D) and in the central body (7) and according to the weakening lines (2a0), as shown in Figure 10. This locks the mounting and shape of the shim (34).

The assembly of the wedge (34) thus shaped constitutes a compact structure which, as shown in FIG. 11, is all the more resistant as it is reinforced by portions (9a) previously rectified, corresponding in particular to the parts located at the same time in the fourth section (D) and in the side bands (9). The wedge (34) obtained is very pleasant to handle because it is very rigid, easy to take in hand and adapted to all sizes of hand. By its end end, referenced (30) in Figure 11, it provides access to small areas and protected areas by returns.

The wedge (34) is used with an abrasive sheet (31) having, with the clearance, the width of the central body (7) and slots (21, 22) resulting from the cutting of the transverse weakening lines (21a, 22a). ). The abrasive sheet (31) is put in place, before shaping the wedge (34), by engagement in the slot (22), to pass under the central portion (Fc) of the section (F), from which it emerges through the slot (21). In this configuration shown to In FIGS. 12 and 13, the abrasive sheet (31) is perfectly positioned and maintained, without it being necessary to use a reported fastening means.

The shim (34) can be left as is, without fear that internal stresses develop its structure and deteriorate.

FIG. 14 shows that, thanks to its sloping shape with a flat back (32), it can be placed in the inverted state on a fragile surface, without the risk of damaging this surface.

In this embodiment, a rear face of the cardboard sheet (5) bears regulatory indications on the nature of the abrasive, the size of its grains, the material that can be sanded and the quality of the sanding, while its face before presents folding and transformation instructions. Of course, without departing from the scope of the invention, the folding and transformation instructions can also be printed on the rear face of the cardboard sheet (5).

It follows from this description that the invention makes it possible, without incurring additional costs and without modifying the products, to add an additional function to the packaging (1) for packaging the abrasive sheets (31) and to obtain an accessory improving the attractiveness of this packaging, since it leads the user to save the cost of a shim (34) standard.

Claims

1. Packaging (1) of abrasive sheets (31), made from a cardboard sheet (5), comprising:

- A support panel (3 a) of rectangular shape against which is stacked a plurality of abrasive sheets (31) of dimensions smaller than those of the support panel (3 a);
