Abstract

The spacer, made from a semi-rigid material such as card or corrugated cardboard, is produced from a single flat panel that is cut and folded to make four side walls (1, 2, 2') and six inner compartments with double (9, 10; 9', 10') or single (8, 11; 8', 11') thickness inner partitions. The partitions are made from cut out and folded sections of the side walls, forming compartments of equal size for elongated articles such as bottles. The spacer can be used, for example, inside a cardboard box.

Description

The present invention relates to a spacer made of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, intended to equip a packaging for six oblong objects, in particular bottles, which it separates laterally from each other by partition portions.

The invention also relates to a packaging made of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard in which such an interlayer is integral with the packaging and is issued with it a single pre-cut blank and repressed in a semi material -rigid.

A large number of interlayer systems have already been proposed for equipping packages for four, six, eight or more bottles, arranged in parallel, in order to prevent them from clashing during handling of the packaging. , to protect them from external shocks and, as far as possible, to allow the sale of these bottles to be sold without having to remove them from their packaging (see, for example, FR 2 341 489 A, FR 2 782 061 A and FR). 1,280,756).

The present invention aims to provide an interlayer and a packaging for six bottles or other oblong objects, which can be made from a single blank of a semi-rigid material suitably cut and repressed, which can be delivered at least partially preassembled users and that can be formatted by them in a particularly simple way.

For this purpose, the first object of the invention is an interlayer derived from a single blank made of a semi-rigid material such as corrugated cardboard or corrugated cardboard that has been suitably cut and discharged, this interlayer being intended to separate from one another by means of partition parts six objects of oblong shape arranged in parallel in a package, including six bottles oriented in the same direction, this insert comprising four side walls hinged together by first fold lines parallel to each other, each wall being perpendicular to both walls contiguous, this conditioning being characterized in that two parallel walls each comprise, at an equal distance from the first fold lines laterally limiting these walls, two ups and downs parallel to these first fold lines and separated from each other by the same distance, a cutting line starting from each of the ends of these ups and downs perpendicular to them in the direction of the contiguous walls and extending along the entire width of these contiguous walls, then on the adjacent wall where it joins the corresponding end of the upstanding opposite this wall, a creasing being formed between the cutting lines of said adjacent walls equidistant from the first fold lines laterally limiting these walls, the two parts of these articulated together by these ups and downs being folded against each other towards the inside of the interlayer to thus form two first partitions, while the two parts of each of said parallel walls hinged to them by the two upsets they comprise are also folded towards the inside of the spacer to form each a second partition, the said second partitions defining with the first contiguous partitions and with the parts of the walls from which they are derived four compartments of substantially square section for four of the six oblong objects, a part of each of said first partitions having a tab projecting towards the other first partition, the two legs of these first partitions being applied against each other and can be assembled by gluing to form a third partition, which defines with the parts of said parallel walls separated by said two backs and parts of these walls; folded towards the inside of the interlayer two other compartments substantially square section for two other oblong objects.

The invention also relates to the use of this spacer to separate six oblong objects, including six bottles, inside a packaging, which can be a wooden box, a semi-rigid material or any other material.

The invention finally relates to a packaging made of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, comprising four lateral walls hinged together by fold lines and in which each wall is perpendicular to the two adjacent walls, in particular a American box, characterized in that the spacer defined above is integral with the packaging and has its side walls together with those of the packaging.

It will be noted that with a packaging of this type, the parts cut in the side walls and folded inwards to form partitions of the interlayer free in these walls windows for viewing from the outside the packaged articles, which allows to use the packaging for the exhibition for sale articles it contains, without it being necessary to extract them from the packaging.

Other features and advantages of the invention will emerge from the following detailed description of two embodiments, in which reference is made to the accompanying drawings. On these drawings:
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view of an insert according to the invention;
  • Figure 2 is a cross section along the plane II-II of Figure 1;
  • Figure 3 is a perspective view similar to Figure 1, illustrating a phase of the shaping of this insert;
  • Figure 4 is a cross section along the plane IV-IV of Figure 2;
  • Figure 5 is a plan view of the corrugated cardboard blank pre-cut and repressed which is derived from the insert of Figure 1;
  • Figure 6 is a perspective view of an American box, in which the insert according to the invention is integral with the body;
  • FIG. 7 is a plan view of the pre-cut and repressed corrugated cardboard blank from which the American box of FIG. 6 is derived.

The interlayer illustrated in Figures 1 to 5 comprises four side walls 1, 1 ', 2, 2' hinged together by first fold lines parallel to each other, which form the lateral edges of the insert, each wall being perpendicular to the two adjoining walls.

The insert comes from a single corrugated cardboard rectangular blank shown in Figure 5 and the wall 1 'is constituted by the two end panels of the blank 1' and 1 'b, which come to overlap , the overlapping parts being assembled by gluing.

The walls 1 and 1 'have a width greater than that of the walls 2 and 2'. More specifically, the distance separating the first fold lines laterally limiting the walls 1 and 1 'is equal to approximately 1.5 times the corresponding distance from the walls 2 and 2'.

Two upsets, respectively 4 and 5, 4 'and 5', are formed in each of the walls 2 and 2 ', at a distance from the first fold lines limiting them laterally equal to that separating these ups and downs. From the ends thereof, extend two section lines respectively, 6 and 7, 6 'and 7', perpendicular to the first contiguous fold lines and extending on the two parallel walls 2, 2 ', contiguous, along the entire width thereof, and on the opposite wall, respectively, 2 'and 2, to be connected to the ends of the opposed upsets, respectively 7 and 6, 7' and 6 'of this wall.

Two sets of four strips of the same width are thus defined, articulated together by parallel fold lines, on the one hand, 8, 9, 10, 11, joining the ups and downs 4 and 5 ', and on the other hand 8 ', 9', 10 ', 11', joining the upsets 4 'and 5.

It will be noted that tabs 12 and 12 'respectively, adjacent to the strips 9 and 9', are cut out in the adjacent strips 8 and 8 '. The tabs 12 and 12 'have dimensions such that, after folding the strips 9 and 10, on the one hand, 9' and 10 ', on the other hand, towards the inside of the packaging, to form internal partitions therein perpendicular to the walls 1 and 1 'and equidistant from them, the tabs 12 and 12' come into mutual contact and can be made integral with each other, for example by gluing, to form a third parallel partition to the walls 1 and 1 'inside the packaging.

The strips 8a and 11, on the one hand, 8 'and 11', on the other hand, are also folded towards the inside of the package perpendicular to the adjoining walls 1 and 1 ', to form partitions parallel to the walls 2 and 2 and located at the same distance from each other as from these walls. These partitions are thus, with the corresponding wall portions and with the partition formed by the tabs 12 and 12 'assembled, two compartments having the same square cross section, able to receive two oblong objects, bottles for example.

Similarly, the partitions formed by the folded strips 9-10 or 9'-10 'form, with the wall portions 1, 2 or 1', 2 'contiguous and with the strips 8, 8' folded, four other compartments to square cross section equal to those of the previous two, able to also receive four oblong objects.

The interlayer which has just been described can be delivered to users pre-assembled and folded flat, with the parts 1 'and 1' b overlapping partially and assembled by gluing, as well as the tabs 12, 12 '.

The shaping of the interlayer is carried out in a simple manner by first bringing each wall 1, 2, 1 ', 2' in position perpendicular to the adjacent walls. It suffices then, as can be seen in FIG. 3, to push manually in two steps inwards:
  • first, the strips 8, 8 'or 11, 11', perpendicular to the adjoining walls and 1 'and the strips 9, 9' or 10, 10 'adjacent thereto.
  • then the other strips 11, 11 'or 8, 8', on the one hand, and 10, 10 'or 9, 9', on the other hand, to obtain the interlayer according to the invention ready for use , with six compartments having substantially the same cross section, able to receive six bottles or other oblong objects.

As indicated above, this insert can be used in any suitably shaped packaging made of wood, a semi-rigid material such as corrugated cardboard, or any other material.

Les figures 6 et 7, qui correspondent aux figures 1 et 5 précédentes et sur lesquelles les parties déjà décrites sont désignées pour les mêmes chiffres de référence, représentent une forme de mise en oeuvre de l'invention dans laquelle l'intercalaire décrit ci-dessus et le conditionnement associé constituent un ensemble monobloc issu d'un unique flan de carton ondulé, où les parois 1, 1', 2, 2', sont communes à l'intercalaire et au conditionnement.FIGS. 6 and 7, which correspond to FIGS. 1 and 5 above and on which the parts already described are designated for the same reference numerals, represent an embodiment of the invention in which the insert described above and the associated packaging constitutes a monobloc assembly derived from a single corrugated cardboard blank, where the walls 1, 1 ', 2, 2' are common to the interlayer and the packaging.

In this embodiment, flaps 13, 13 '(consisting of two parts 13' a , 13 ' b , overlapping and assembled by gluing), 14 and 14', articulated on the walls 1, 1 ', 2, 2' , by upsetting perpendicular to the first fold lines, allow to close the packaging, after filling thereof, bringing these flaps in position perpendicular to the associated walls and securing them by gluing, by an adhesive tape or by any other means known in the art.

In this embodiment, the packaged articles, bottles for example, are visible from the outside and can thus be displayed for sale without being extracted from the packaging.

In the embodiment shown in the drawings, the wall 1 'consists of two parts 1' and 1 'b, which come to overlap and are assembled by gluing. Naturally, it would not be possible to depart from the scope of the invention by producing a wall 1 'which, like the wall 1, would be consisting of a single panel, integral with a wall contiguous with a tab or a band articulated by an upstanding on the wall 1 'and glued to the contiguous wall, or conversely articulated by an upstanding on the adjacent wall and glued against the wall 1 '.

In all its embodiments, the invention therefore provides a particularly simple and easy to implement for making a spacer or packaging of a semi-rigid material for six oblong objects, including bottles.

Claims (7)

  1. A separator formed from a single blank of a semirigid material, such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard suitably cut out and turned over, this separator being intended to separate from one another, with portions forming partitions six oblong-shaped articles arranged parallel in a packaging, in particular six bottles aligned in the same direction, this separator comprising four side walls (1,1',2,2') articulated to one another by first mutually parallel folding lines, each wall being perpendicular to two adjoining walls, this packaging being characterised in that two parallel walls (1,1') each comprise, at an equal distance from the first folding lines laterally delimiting these walls, two turned-over portions (4,5;4',5') parallel to these first folding lines and separated from one another by the same distance, a cutting line (6,6';7,7') extending from each of the ends of these turned-over portions perpendicularly thereto in the direction of the adjoining walls and extending along the entire width of these adjoining walls, then on the adjacent wall (2,2') where it rejoins the corresponding end of the opposite turned-over portion (4',5'; 4,5) of this wall (2,2'), one turned-over portion being provided between the cutting lines of said adjoining walls (2,2') at an equal distance from the first folding lines laterally delimiting these walls, the two portions (9,10; 9',10') of the latter articulated to one another by these turned-over portions being folded one against the other towards the inside of the separator so as thus to form two first partitions, whereas the two portions (11,12;11',12') of each of said parallel walls (1,1') articulated on the latter by the two turned-over portions (4,5;4',5') which they comprise are also folded towards the inside of the separator so that they each form a second partition, said second partitions defining with the first adjoining partitions and with the portions of the walls from which they are formed four compartments of substantially square section for four of the six oblong articles, one portion(9,9') of each of said first partitions comprising a tab (12,12') projecting towards the other first partition, the two tabs (12,12') of these first partitions being applied against one another and being able to be joined together by gluing to form a third partition which defines with the portions of said parallel walls (2,2') separated by said two turned-over portions (4,5;4',5') and the portions of these walls (11,12;11',12') folded towards the inside of the separator two further compartments of substantially square section for two further oblong articles.
  2. A blank for the separator according to claim 1, characterised in that the walls (1,1',2,2') articulated to one another and preassembled are folded flat against one another.
  3. A blank according to claim 2, characterised in that the tabs (12,12') are in mutual contact and are joined together.
  4. A packaging for six oblong articles, in particular six bottles, characterised in that it comprises a separator according to claim 1.
  5. A packaging, particularly of the American pack type, comprising finishing flaps (13,13',14,14'), characterised in that it comprises a separator according to claim 1, which forms a part thereof and which is formed from the same blank of precut and turned-over semirigid material, the walls (1,1',2,2') of the packaging and of the separator being coincident.
  6. A blank for the packaging according to claim 5, characterised in that the walls (1,1',2,2') articulated to one another and preassembled are folded flat against one another.
  7. A blank according to claim 6, characterised in that the tabs (12,12') are in mutual contact and joined together.
