Abstract

La présente invention porte sur une direction assistée de véhicule automobile comprenant un moteur électrique délivrant un couple d'assistance destiné à un volant de direction du véhicule. La direction assistée comprend aussi un contrôle commande (12) permettant le pilotage du moteur et son alimentation électrique afin d'assurer la redondance du système. Le moteur est à flux magnétique axial à plusieurs entrefers entre au moins deux stators (1, 1a à 1d) et au moins un rotor, l'alimentation électrique desdits au moins deux stators (1, 1a à 1d) se faisant en parallèle.
