Abstract
The invention relates to a device that allows users of in-line skate to master without risk of falling and without friction with the ground, their speed and braking while remaining on their path. It consists of brake pads mounted on the fixed frame of the inline roller on which rub one or more wheels mounted on an articulated frame-stirrup fixed on the axis of one of the wheels. This pivoting frame is held in the horizontal plane of the other wheels by a spring set by the user according to its weight and dexterity. With this device, the user triggers the braking by weighing more or less on the back of the in-line roller, which is the intuitive position of braking and prevents the rear falls.
Description
The present invention relates to a device for roller skaters easy and secure control of their speed and braking while remaining on trajectory. Currently a rubber block placed at the back of the roller that is rubbed on the ground acts as a brake (Heel stop). The roller is then in contact with the ground with a single wheel and the rubber block. This block hinders in configurations where the rollers intersect. Most users remove it, and must then practice skidding as in ski (Shuffle stop), or setting 90 degrees of a roller either forwards or backwards (T stop). Two figures reserved for experienced skaters, assuming a wide lateral space and presenting serious risks of falls. In addition, the wheels used as a scraper wear out laterally and unevenly. The device of this invention can slow down and brake on trajectory without friction with the ground and without executing figures inaccessible to beginners. The basic principle is based on an articulation between the chassis or is fixed the boot and a pivoting frame on which is fixed a variable number of the wheels of the roller. When the user exerts pressure on the rear of the roller, the wheels integral with the pivoting chassis rub on brake shoes integral with the roller chassis, and thus cause braking. Four possible variants of this device: Variant 1: Single-wheel braking Variant 2: Braking on 2 wheels Variant 3: Braking on 3 wheels Variant 4: Braking on 4 wheels The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: Figure 1 shows the view of Side of the variant 1 propulsion Figure 2 shows the side view of the variant 1 braking Figure 3 shows the side view of the variant 2 propulsion Figure 4 shows the side view of the variant 2 braking Figure 5 represents the Side view of the variant 3 propulsion Figure 6 shows the side view of the variant 3 braking Figure 7 shows the side view of the variant 4 propulsion Figure 8 shows the side view of the variant 4 braking Figure 9 represents the rear view and Figure 10 shows the detail of the brake pad Particular embodiments. Variant 1- Limit speed and brake with a single wheel (Fig 1 and 2) In this case, wheels 1 to 3 are normally attached to the roller chassis, but the 4th wheel is mounted on an independent chassis - 5 , which is articulated vertically on the axis of the wheel 3 The wheel 4 is held in the plane of the other 3 wheels by a push rod 2, which, under the pressure of the spring 3, presses on the frame-stirrup 5 supporting this wheel. The stop 9 limits the lowering of the frame-stirrup, to maintain it in the horizontal alignment of the wheels 1, 2 and 3 The pressure of the spring 2, is adjustable by the threaded wheel 1, which is screwed inside the support tube, allowing to adjust the effort to exercise, according to the weight and dexterity of the user. This variant is the simplest and uses a single brake pad 8, fixed on the fixed frame of the shoe. When the user has to slow down or brake, He moves his weight on the back of the roller (which is also the instinctive and logical position during braking). The spring 2 being set to yield to this pressure, the rear of the roller with the brake pad 8 comes into contact with the wheel 4, by pivoting on the axis of the wheel 3. The intensity of the braking is proportional to the intensity of pressure exerted by the user with his heel. When the user loses the rearward balance, he automatically shifts his weight on the wheel 4, which causes braking and prevents the rear falls. Variant 2- Limit speed and brake with 2 wheels. (Fig 3 and 4) For greater efficiency in braking, and reduced wear of the wheel it is possible to brake on 2 wheels by the introduction of 2 brake pads 8 mounted on an oscillating piece 10 fixed to the frame of the roller at equidistance of the wheels 3 and 4.
To slow down or brake, simply proceed in the same way as for variant 1: ie. to shift its weight on the rear, which causes the roller to pivot about the axis of the wheel 3 and lowers it towards the wheel 4. In this movement, the 2 brake pads 8 fixed on the oscillating piece 10, rubs on the wheels 3 and 4 Due to the articulation of the equidistant oscillating part 3 and 4, the pressure is also distributed on each of these wheels.
We find the same conditions as those of variant 1 but with braking on two wheels instead of one. Variant 3- Limit speed and brake with 3 wheels. (FIGS. 5 and 6) In this variant, the wheels 2, 3 and 4 are mounted on an independent chassis 5 articulating on the axis of the wheel 1. By deporting its weight towards the rear, the chassis 5 makes rub the wheels 2 3 and 4 on 3 brake pads 8 mounted on the fixed frame. Since the thrusts on each of the brake pads are difficult to balance, they are mounted on springs or a resilient surface to absorb the differences in thrusts and impacts.
Given the length of the chassis -etier, to avoid the risk of causing unintentional pivoting, a striker keeper 7 held by the spring 8 blocks it in the horizontal position, which must be unlocked with a slight stroke of heel. Variant 4- Limit speed and brake with 4 wheels. (Figs 7 and 8) 4 brake shoes 8 are articulated in 2 pairs around an oscillating piece 11 central fixed on the plate 4. When lowering the rear of the shoe, the thrust is transmitted from equivalent way on the 4 wheels by the play of the oscillating parts 10 and 11. b / In a simpler mounting, it can be provided to mount the oscillating piece before 11, on a support plate integrated in the frame and held in position under the pressure of a spring calculated to compensate for the difference in displacement between the front and rear lever arms.
