Abstract

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a suitcase and more particularly to a suitcase having a protective casing. Referring to Figure 15, it can be seen that a conventional bag comprises a main body 9. The main body 9 has two half-compartments 91. A first embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to Fig. 1. A suitcase having a protective wrapper according to the present invention comprises a main body 1 and two protection elements. The two protection elements are defined as two casing bodies 2 in the first embodiment. Both shell bodies 2 are non-transparent. The main body 1 has two half-compartments 11. Each half-compartment 11 has an adapter mounted around an inner edge thereof, so that the adapter of a half-compartment 11 corresponds to the adapter of the other half-compartment 11. When the main body 1 is closed, the adapter of the half-compartment 11 abuts against the adapter of the other half-compartment 11 so that a receiving space is defined in the main body 1. The adapter has at least a first matching portion defined along a stretch path thereof. Referring to Figure 2, it can be seen that the adapter is defined as an edge body 3. In this embodiment, the edge body 3 is made of hard material , such as an aluminum material. Each half-compartment 11 and the edge body 3 thereof are riveted together. When the main body 1 is closed, the edge body 3 of a half-compartment 11 abuts against the edge body 3 of the other half-compartment 11. When the main body 1 is closed, the two halves 5 compartments 11 are fixed to each other by means of a clasp (not shown). The first adaptation part is defined as an insertion groove 31. The insertion groove 31 is formed near an abutment site between the end body 3 of a half compartment 11 and the edge body 3 of the other half-compartment 11. The insertion groove 31 is exposed outwardly relative to the bag. The insertion groove 31 is formed along an extension path of the edge body 3. Referring to Fig. 1, it can be seen that each casing body 2 is molded by molding. aspiration. Each casing body 2 has an opening 21 and a concave portion 23. The second adaptation part is integrated with the first adaptation part of each corresponding half-compartment 11, so that each shell body 2 not only completely covers each corresponding half-compartment 11, but is also positioned on each corresponding half-compartment 11. Each casing body 2 has a front portion 22 defined at another side thereof, so that the front portion 22 is opposite the opening 21. The front portion 22 is smooth. The front portion 22 has a pattern portion 221 defined thereon. In this embodiment, an outer surface of each casing body 2 is printed with a pattern or decorative pattern prior to molding; then, each casing body 2 is molded by suction molding; therefore, the pattern portion 221 is defined on the outer surface of each envelope body 2. In another embodiment, an inner surface of each envelope body 2 is printed with a pattern or design. decorative before molding; then, each casing body 2 is molded by suction molding; therefore, the pattern portion 221 is defined on the inner surface of each envelope body 2. Referring to Fig. 3, it can be seen that the second matching portion is defined as a tongue 41. The tongue 41 is inserted into the insertion groove 31 of each corresponding half-compartment 11. In this embodiment, the base 411 is glued to each corresponding casing body 2. In another embodiment, the base 411 is connected to each body corresponding envelope 2 by a heat-sealing treatment. The positioning edge 4 has a connecting segment 412 connected between the tongue 41 and the base 411.

The positioning edge 4A has a connecting segment 412A connected between a tongue 41A thereof and the base 411A. Tab 41A has an overhanging portion 413A extending from an upper portion of base 411A to link segment 412A. The overhanging portion 413A is configured to conceal a seam site A on the 411A base. A third embodiment of the present invention is described below (only the differences between the third embodiment and said embodiments will be described), with reference to Figure 6. Each envelope body 2 has an edge 4B positioning device mounted around one side thereof. The positioning edge 4B has a base 411B which is sewn onto each casing body 2. The positioning edge 4B has a connecting segment 412B connected between a tongue 41B thereof and the base 411B. The link segment 412B extends from an upper portion of the base 411B to the tongue 41B. The link segment 412B conceals a seam site B on the base 411B. A fourth embodiment of the present invention is described below (only the differences between the fourth embodiment and said embodiments will be described), with reference to Figures 7 and 8. Each half-compartment 11 has a mounted adapter around an inner edge of it. The adapter has at least a first matching portion defined along a stretch path thereof. The adapter is defined as a half-portion 51 of a zipper 5. When the main body 1 is closed, the half-portion 51 of a half-compartment 11 is engaged with the half part 51 of the other half-compartment 11 by means of a plurality of teeth thereof. The first matching portion is defined as a first hook and loop closure portion 511. The first hook and loop closure portion 511 is formed near an abutment site between the half portion 51 of a half-compartment 11 and the half-portion 51 of the other half-compartment 11. The first hook-and-loop closure part 511 is formed along an extension path of the half-part 51. Each body of envelope 2 has a positioning edge 6 mounted around one side thereof. The positioning edge 6 has at least a second matching portion defined along a stretch path thereof. The second matching portion is defined as a second hook and loop closure portion 61. The second hook and loop closure portion 61 is located on an inner side of the positioning edge 6. The second loop closure portion and hooks 61 is connected to the first hook and loop closure part 511 of each corresponding half-compartment 11, so that the positioning edge 6 is attached to each corresponding casing body 2 via a base 62 of it. Referring to Figure 9, it can be seen that the positioning edge 6 is attached to each corresponding casing body 2 through a base 62 thereof. The positioning edge 6 has an overhanging portion 63 extending from the second hook and loop closure portion 61 to the base 62. The overhanging portion 63 is configured to conceal a seam site C which is defined by the seam between each half-portion 51 and each corresponding half-compartment 11 (as in the first embodiment).

A fifth embodiment of the present invention is described below (only the differences between the fifth embodiment and said embodiments will be described), with reference to Figure 10. Each envelope body 2 has an edge. 6A positioning device mounted around one side thereof. The positioning edge 6A has a base 62A which is sewn onto each casing body 2. The positioning edge 6A has an overhanging portion 63A. The overhanging portion 63A is configured to conceal a seam site (not shown) which is defined by the seam between each half-portion 51 and each corresponding half-compartment 11, and a seam site D which is defined by the seam between the base 62A and each corresponding casing body 2. A sixth embodiment of the present invention is described below (only the differences between the sixth embodiment and said embodiments will be described), with reference to the Figure 11 Each casing body 2 has a positioning edge 6B mounted around one side thereof. The positioning edge 6B has a base 62B which is sewn onto each casing body 2. The positioning edge 6B has an overhanging portion 63B. The overhanging portion 638 extends from an upper portion of the base 62B to a second hook and loop closure portion 61B. An extension portion 621B extends horizontally from a bottom portion of the base 62B to the second hook and loop closure portion 61B; therefore, the second hook and loop closure portion 61B is assembled on a lower surface of the extension portion 621B. The overhanging portion 63B is configured to conceal a seam site (not shown) which is defined by the seam between each half-portion 51 and each corresponding half-compartment 11, and a sewing site E which is defined by the seam between the base 62B and each corresponding shell body 2. A seventh embodiment of the present invention is described below (only the differences between the seventh embodiment and said embodiments will be described), with reference to the Figure 12. Each half-compartment 11 has an adapter mounted around an inner edge thereof. The adapter has at least a first matching portion defined along a stretch path thereof. The adapter is defined as a half-portion 71 of a zipper 7. When the main body 1 is closed, the half-portion 71 of a half-compartment 11 is engaged with the half part 71 of the other half-compartment 11 by means of a plurality of teeth thereof. The first matching portion is defined as an insertion groove 72. The insertion groove 72 is formed near an abutment site between the half-portion 71 of a half-compartment 11 and the half-portion 71 of the other half-compartment 11. The insertion groove 72 is formed along an extension path of the half-portion 71. The insertion groove 72 is exposed to the outside by relation to the bag.
