En outre, ces différents risques sont tout particulièrement exacerbés lorsque l'ordinateur est en cours d'utilisation, c'est à dire ouvert.
On a donc développé des housses ou coques de protection, destinées à assurer autant que faire ce peut, la protection effective de l'ordinateur portable contre ce type de chocs.
De telles housses ou coques de protection sont traditionnellement constituées d'un fond et d'un couvercle, éventuellement munis de moyens d'absorption de chocs ou d'amortissement intégrés au sein de leur face interne, c'est à dire de leur face destinée à
2o venir en contact avec l'ordinateur. En outre, une jupe périphérique en matériau souple, et typiquement en tissu, s'étend entre le couvercle et le fond, ladite jupe étant obturée par un moyen permettant d'assurer l'accès à l'intérieur du volume utile défini par l'association du fond et du couvercle, et notamment à l'ordinateur portable.
Cependant, traditionnellement cette jupe ne s'étend que sur trois côtés consécutifs de la coque, c'est-à-dire les deux côtés latéraux et la face avant, et non pas au niveau de la face postérieure de la coque, traditionnellement dévolue à la zone d' articulation du couvercle sur le fond, ou sur un élément intermédiaire, et en outre, généralement laissée ouverte, afin de permettre l'accessibilité aux zones de branchement des différents périphériques susceptibles de coopérer avec l'ordinateur portable, du type souris,... du cordon d'alimentation sur le secteur domestique, etc..

Ce faisant, les deux piliers postérieurs (7, 8) définissent une zone libre de toute matière, constituant donc une lumière traversante s'étendant sensiblement sur toute la face postérieure de la coque protectrice, et permettant un accès libre à
toutes les zones de connectique traditionnellement présentes au niveau de la face postérieure d'un ordinateur portable.

Ce faisant, il devient possible de définir des rebords périphériques formant saillie par rapport aux faces latérales correspondant sensiblement à l'enveloppe définie par les jupes (4, 5). Ces rebords périphériques (11, 12) sont ainsi susceptibles de constituer des moyens d'amortissement aux chocs intervenant à ce niveau et statistiquement les plus nombreux.
Enfin, et comme déjà indiqué, les piliers peuvent être remplacés par un muret périphérique, également réalisé en un matériau rigide, et s'étendant 2o perpendiculairement pas rapport au fond. La. hauteur de ce muret correspond sensiblement à l'épaisseur de l'ordinateur portable à intégrer dans la coque.
Ce muret est pourvu d'un certain nombre de lumières traversantes positionnées en des lieux appropriés, afin de permettre l'accessibilité aux moyens de connexion, outre aux zones d'insertion des disquettes ou des CD ROM dans un éventuel lecteur de disquettes ou de CD ROM.
On observe ainsi que l'invention permet de conférer l'étanchéité requise aux coques de protection, à l' aide de moyens simples à mettre en oeuvre, tout en permettant une accessibilité facilitée aux différentes zones de connexion, dont est pourvu un ordinateur portable. En outre, de par sa conception, elle permet également de munir lesdites coques de rebords périphériques en saillie au niveau des faces latérales les définissant, propres à constituer autant de moyens d'amortissement ou d'absorption des chocs susceptibles d'affecter les coques en question. This low wall is provided with a number of through lights positioned in places appropriate, in order to allow accessibility to the means of connection, in addition to to areas insertion of floppy disks or CD ROMs into a possible reader of floppy disks or CD ROM.
It is thus observed that the invention makes it possible to confer the required seal on hulls of protection, by means of simple means to implement, while allowing a facilitated accessibility to the different connection areas, which is provided with a laptop. In addition, by design, it also allows provide said peripheral edge shells protruding at the faces lateral ones defining, suitable for constituting as many means of depreciation or absorption shocks likely to affect the hulls in question.

Claims

1. Protective shell (1) for a notebook comprising a bottom (2) and a lid (3), each consisting of a plate made of a rigid material or not, said shell being provided with at least one peripheral skirt (4, 5) extending substantially from the peripheral edge of the bottom or lid, the edge free of said skirt being intended to cooperate with the free edge of a skirt complementary or with the vicinity of the periphery of the bottom or lid, that is to say, the constituent element of the hull devoid of a skirt by means of a closing and opening member (6), so that, on the one hand, constitute a lateral peripheral envelope capable of closing off the useful volume of the hull, and on the other hand, to ensure access to the interior of the said useful space, and in particular at the laptop, characterized in that said one or more skirts (4, 5) himself extend over the entire periphery respectively of the bottom (2) and the lid (3).

Protective shell (1) for a laptop according to claim 1, characterized in that the closing and opening member (6) of the envelope lateral device extends continuously over the entire length of the envelope.

Protective shell (1) for a laptop according to claim 2, characterized in that the bottom (2) can be completely separated from the cover (3).

Protective shell (1) for laptop according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the lid (3) and the bottom (2) are connected between them in posterior face by means of pillars (7, 8) extending perpendicularly by relation to the general plane of the plates which constitute them, in the vicinity of the two posterior angles, said pillars (7, 8) defining a through-light at level of the rear surface of the hull, allowing accessibility to different connection areas of the back side of the laptop, this light through being reversibly closable by the peripheral skirts (4, 5).

5. Protective shell (1) for laptop according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the closing and reversible opening member (6) is selected from the group consisting of a zipper, a slide plastic, self-gripping tape, even magnetic seals.

Protective shell (1) for laptop according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the constituent plates of the bottom (2) and the cover (3) are larger than the main dimensions of the computer, so as to define each an outer peripheral flange (11, 12) formed in projecting from the volume they define, said flange extending less in the vicinity of the four corners of said plates.

7. Protective shell for laptop according to one of claims 1 at 6, characterized in that the constituent plates of the bottom (2) and the cover (3) are full or perforated, and in that they are flat or curved.
