The present invention aims to improve the operating safety and working conditions of staff, during the various waste disposal operations from the underground storage site to the collection point on the road. The present invention is part of the development of a new concept of streamlined waste transportation in multi-family residential buildings or offices, as well as in the underground corridors of health and hospital facilities. The present invention relates to a model of self-propelled electric propulsion tractor of specific design and equipped with new equipment, intended to ensure with maximum security the transport of loads or containers to waste transported without any contact with the ground in the strongest ramps of building, without requiring physical efforts on the part of the operator. The invention is referred to as: "Tractor with Integrated Gripping-Lift Mechanism for Transportation in Heavy Ramps" Waste disposal generally takes place from underground basements or underground parking lots of the building to at the collection point on the road. In the hospital sector, at the foot of elevators, various buildings or services are located from the underground connecting corridors to the external compactors. The routing phase of these evacuation operations is proving increasingly critical to manage, due to the increasing evolution of the quantity of waste to be eliminated, associated with the generalization of sorting with the global consequence of more and more containers and bulky to handle. For these reasons the containers of 120 to 240 I are gradually replaced by containers of greater capacity ranging from 360 I for large models with 2 wheels, up to 600 I for 4-wheel models; Container models of a significantly higher weight so much less manageable and more difficult to move safely in the strongest ramps of buildings. As a general rule it is admitted that small two-wheeled containers (120 to 240 l) weighing less than 80 kg can still be evacuated manually by a single operator by climbing up said ramps while remaining within reasonable limits; but to carry out this type of operation with containers of capacity and of too high weight proves very dangerous, even impossible for obvious reasons of safety. In an attempt to overcome this difficulty, some manufacturers of materials resulting from the motorized handling in warehouse propose more or less judicious or even irrational devices, consisting of putting the handles of the two-wheeled container on a raised stirrup in order to pull it, resting on its two small wheels, method presenting various inconveniences accompanied by strong nuisances: a / These small diameter wheels - often less than 180 mm - hardly support the evolution on the relief of the anti-slip streaks of the parking ramps and wear out very quickly ; finding significant operating costs, associated with serious operating hazards. b / The evolution of the solid rubber or hard plastic wheels of the container on these streaks of access ramps in the basement, generates significant vibrations transmitted to the caisson of the latter whose hollow cavity behaves in a sound box greatly amplifying rolling noise generating a high noise level, especially in the early morning for dormant residents ... The problem to be solved is to propose an effective, innovative solution adapted to solving the various problems arising from the emergence of difficulties appearing more and more frequently in multi-family residential or office buildings in waste disposal procedures in general by containers, or even in bulk on forks or pallets for "bulky goods". The disposal of waste in containers or in bulk is subject to three major constraints too often ignored or neglected, directly related to the operational safety and working conditions on the site of the personnel assigned to this operation, namely: 1 / Move safely containers from the lower levels of the building to that of the road through the ramps to car parks frequented by cars - steep ramps up to 20% slope - without taking the slightest risk stall 25 load or accident with the vehicles in circulation during the transfer phase. 2 / Propose a viable alternative to existing solutions on the market, sometimes designed around couplers that are rarely well adapted to the traction of containers, which are by nature very unstable compared to a really unfavorable height / width ratio, whose traction in slope 30 in curve induces serious risks of overturning, factor further aggravated by their connection to the ground provided by small, narrow and small diameter, swivel wheels. 3 / Perform without abnormal effort harmful to the health and safety of the operator, the various manipulations, hooking, transfer and unhooking of containers or loading, avoiding him any risk of falling, kidney tower or wrong maneuver in moving them by hand on a ramp. The present invention is characterized by a single system simultaneously solving these three major constraints; it has the following characteristics: §1 The invention is characterized by its ability to evolve and maneuver safely in the 40 strongest building ramps. §2 The invention is characterized by its method of transporting containers transported without any contact with the ground. §3 The invention is characterized in that its mechanism performs all the manipulations without requiring significant manual effort of the operator.
The solution implemented to respond to it consists of a special four-wheeled tractor with electric propulsion, completely autonomous operating on batteries on board, benefiting to evolve in ramp of a double motorization with very strong torque; that is to say, a motor and a gearbox at each rear wheel (Figure 1) with significant additional safety, the very effective anti-slip device resulting from the absence of differential in the driveline, each wheel being driven individually, whatever the conditions of adhesion of the other.
To this tractor is integrated a versatile original "gripping-lifting mechanism" equipped with an unprecedented motorized rear gantry crane, simultaneously carrying out two operations: A - Lift the containers from a distance sufficient to avoid the bottom bending, B - Tilt them towards the front of the tractor to prevent any risk of ramp stall with the mechanism combining a set of claws for containers (Figure 2) to a pair of retractable forks for bulky or other loading (Figure 3). §1 On the other hand adaptations for the transport of existing containers on the market, all developed on the basis of electric tractors for the industry - materials essentially designed for operation in an industrial environment and in no case motorized to safely cross the important ramps of Underground parks - the present invention is specifically designed for this application whose performance has been confidentially tested and validated by us in the basements of our establishment (Figures 4 & 5). These very demanding operating conditions require equipment that meets to strict design criteria that take into account a high level of intrinsic safety:. Very low powertrain = large reserve of torque at ramp and load restart,. Automatic immobilizer without recoil release of the accelerator = safety for evolutions in ramp,. Control by electronic speed variator = efficient management of slowdown / ramp braking. Double motorization = maximum adhesion of the two independent large diameter rear wheels,. Heavy industrial lead-acid traction batteries positioned on the front section of the tractor = carefully distributed masses to balance the weight of the containers transported on the rear. §2 During the transport, the containers are hooked and carried by the inverted claws of the upper crossbar of the mobile gantry of the "lifting-lifting mechanism" and remain lifted from the ground, locked by gravity on these claws, which are positioned under the upper peripheral edge of the containers (ribbed rim by construction to withstand handling constraints by the fast lifting device of the waste collection trucks). The resulting clamping of the gripping system precludes any risk of containers being poured in the curves or on slopes; phase of transport during which they no longer rest on their small wheels, but remain permanently locked without contact with the ground to the frame of the gantry inclined towards the front of the tractor, both supported by the claws of the upper rail of the gantry and also resting in abutment on the lower rail of the latter.
S3 Procedure for attaching the container (s): (1) presentation of the container to the right of the gantry to bring it into abutment against the lower cross member of the latter (figure 6) (2) let it pivot forward on its wheels so that it is positioned automatically above the claws of the top rail of the gantry (Fig. 7), actuate the motorized control.
At this stage of the process the claws go upwards to insert themselves under the upper rim of the container (Figure 8) that the motorized gantry of the mechanism raises and tilts forward without any manual effort (Figure 9). The essential characteristic of the "gripping-lifting mechanism" lies in its kinematic orientation, which automatically combines two movements in space to simultaneously ensure three distinct actions: In the upward direction for the removal of the bin (or containers in the paired position) ): Action 1 The attachment of the container or containers from below their upper supporting rib. Action 2 Their lifting from the ground with clearance of the wheels of more than 100 millimeters. 20 Action 3 Their forward tilting of an angle of the order of 20 ° sufficient for porting. In the direction of the descent, these three actions take place in the opposite direction, namely straightening with lowering of the container and clearance of the claws down for removal. The kinematics of the "gripping-lifting mechanism" is based on the principle of any deformable quadrilateral, of which by definition the four sides are of different lengths. Sides materialized by two arms and two plates. One of them called "fixed platen" is integral with the tractor chassis, the second so-called "movable platen" is attached to the frame of the gantry. The fixed and mobile plates are connected to each other by a pair of arms articulated on either side, by means of eight joints on ball bearings (four on each side). The combination of the two plates with the two sets of arms positioned parallel to each other on both sides determines the kinematics of the "gripping-lifting mechanism". container gantry crane. Oscillation of the two pairs of arms from bottom to top generates a combined movement of vertical translation and inclination of the moving gantry towards the front of the tractor. The dynamics of the two pairs of articulated arms and the evolution in the space of the mobile container gantry crane of the "lifting-lifting mechanism" is materialized by FIGS. 10, 11, 12. The motorization of the oscillation movement is ensured by means of an electric or hydraulic jack 40 depending on the load option to be lifted. In contrast to other container handling systems, the various components of the "gripping-lifting mechanism" do not include any devices, rails, slides or combinations of mechanisms likely to galling, blocking or jamming.
The "gripping-lifting mechanism" exploits in its dynamics only one principle, that of the rotating joint for the implementation of its oscillation; articulation deemed to be by construction the simplest to implement and the most reliable of all mechanisms.
