  Document FR 2695882 in the name of the Applicant discloses an arrangement of seats in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, a row of three seats having side seats having transverse sliding means and longitudinal sliding means, the seat median being able to be removed from its middle place, sliding backwards, and the side seats can then be moved towards each other towards the center. In this position where the two side seats give more room to the passenger, the document also provides for armrests elements that are normally retracted in three-seat position, behind the side seats for some, and under the middle seat for others.

  This arrangement is practical, but has some limitations because the means of transverse sliding and longitudinal sliding occupy the entire place under the seats, that they are not intended to fold into the wallet as is now traditional in many of vehicles, and that the manipulation of the assembly for the change of arrangement is relatively complex. There is also no storage under the seats.

  An arrangement of rear seats with portfolio folding is known from FR 2,785,579, the seat being attached to a raised floor, at the front by a hinge and at the rear by a ball lock.

The transition from one to the other is not extremely practical and the accessibility to storage bins is not ideal.

  In the document FR 2 795 026 also in the name of the Applicant, there is provided a central carriage sliding longitudinally and carrying transverse beams on which can slide the seat frames of two side seats, which can be moved closer or away from to have between them a child seat. However, this arrangement does not allow the folding of the seats in the wallet and there is no provision for storage under the seats.
