Abstract

Un module de coussin à gaz, en particulier un module de coussin à gaz latéral pour un système de protection d'occupants d'un véhicule, comporte un coussin à gaz, un générateur de gaz (10) dont le boîtier (12) présente plusieurs orifices d'échappement qui sont agencés de telle sorte que le générateur de gaz (10) est en principe neutre vis-à-vis de la poussée, et un élément de fermeture qui dans un cas de déclenchement standard du module de coussin à gaz, empêche un échappement de gaz au moins dans une direction et, en cas d'incendie, est thermiquement affaibli ou détruit, au moins sur certaines portions, de sorte que le générateur de gaz (10) souffle du gaz de manière neutre vis-à-vis de la pression.
