Abstract

The vehicle seat (1), having base (2) and back (3) cushions, has the base cushion made with fixed (5) and moving (6) sections, the latter being able to rotate about a transverse horizontal axis to move it between retracted and deployed positions. In the deployed position a hinged strut (8) on the underside of the moving section engages with a locking member (10) to make a raised seat that is suitable for a child passenger.
