Abstract

Adjustable seat 1 comprising an articulated foot rest 24, especially for motor vehicles, integral with movable profiled parts 6 of slides characterised in that the articulation pin 23 of the foot rest 24 is rigidly connected to the movable profiled parts 6 and is composed of a plane 25 inclined towards the floor 8 of the vehicle and towards the rear portion of the seat, whose top is in abutment contact with a thrust element 30 acting on the said plane 25 in response to the action exerted by a device for adjusting the vertical position of the seat cushion, and in opposition to the return force exerted by an elastic member 26 on the said foot rest, in the direction of an increase in the angle of inclination of the plane which constitutes the latter.
