Abstract

Bag, made e.g. from multiple layers of paper and an optional layer of plastic for sealing/reinforcement purposes, has its top closed by two folds (B1, B2) held down by two adhesive strips (5, 6) on either side of a clear center portion (7). Temporary fastener, such as repositionable adhesive label (8), can be partially detached from the bag to allow the folds to be opened. One corner (9) of the label is non-adhesive to allow for easy separation.

DOUBLE FOLDING / GLUING CLOSING BAG WITH LABEL

OR CLOSING ANALOG

  The present invention relates to bags with closure by double folding / gluing, produced from sheets of various materials such as paper, cotton, plastic and commonly used in particular in the field of packaging for the packaging of bulk materials, in particular fluent, pulverulent or granular materials. These bags generally consist of a flexible envelope, formed from a tube of which one end, the bottom, is closed, while

  the other end is closed only after filling.

  These bags can be multilayer, that is to say made from several sheets of paper joined together to form the different skins of the envelope. The internal skin can optionally be made from a film

  plastic to reinforce the waterproofness of the bag.

  In order to provide greater filling volume, the sides of the bags

may include bellows.

  The invention relates more specifically to bags, in particular of paper,

  whose closure is ensured by folding / gluing.

  This technique is well known and illustrated by Figure 1 on which is represented the upper part of a bag 1 which includes a first and a

  second flank, respectively l a, 1 b.

  To close the bag 1, the upper ends of the sides 1a, 1b which have the same length are folded in a first fold 2, then a second fold 3, the edge of one of the sides (la) being glued to the other side (1b) by

  example using hot melt adhesive 4.

  At the height of this type of closure, there are three superimposed layers each formed by the superposition of a strip of the flank la on a strip of the flank lb. We will denote by Bi the edge layer of the flanks 1 a, 1 b, by B2 the intermediate layer and by B3 The layer furthest from the ends of the flanks, the layer Bl being sandwiched between the layers B2 and B3 and bonded to layer B3. These notations B1, B2, B3 will be used

  thereafter during the description of the device of the invention.

  The invention aims to improve this type of bag by providing means to facilitate both opening and reclosing, as tight as possible, after each use, that is to say each sample of a

part of the contents of the bag.

  To this end, the subject of the invention is a bag which can be closed by double folding / gluing with a reclosing label or the like, of the type in which a first flap of the ends of the bag and then a second flap are made in order to stick the first flap on one of the sides of the bag, characterized in that said bonding is provided by two bonding zones separated by a central non-bonding zone capable of allowing the engagement of the hand under said first flap to proceed with the opening of the bag and in that an adhesive label or the like, is attached and glued to a side of the bag, partly opposite said non-bonding zone, said label being capable of being partially detachable from the bag in view, after folding in position

  closure of the bag, to be folded down and glued to said flaps.

  According to a first embodiment, the label is positioned after filling and closing the bag, straddling the flaps, the label part

  opposite the flaps constituting said detachable part.

  According to a second embodiment, the label is positioned before filling and closing the bag, on one of the sides of the bag and so as to be partly in said non-bonding area, this part of label constituting

said detachable part.

  Other characteristics and advantages will emerge from the description which

  will follow from the two embodiments above, description given as

  for example only and with reference to the appended drawings in which: Figure 2 is a partial schematic view of a bag according to the invention with reclosure label partially covering the closure flaps, Figure 3 and 4 illustrate two stages of opening of the bag of FIG. 2, FIG. 5 illustrates the step of reclosing, after use, of the bag, - Figure 6 represents the bag in the final reclosing position, the label resuming its initial position before the first opening of the bag, - Figure 7 shows a second embodiment and, - Figure 8 and 9 illustrate two stages of reclosing the bag of the

figure 7.

  In Figure 2, there is shown schematically and partially a side bellows bag 1 'made for example from several sheets of

  paper and / or plastics joined together.

  The two sides of the bag are shown diagrammatically in a and i'b which are folded at their upper end, as illustrated in FIG. 1, along a first flap Bi, then a second flap B2, the flap Bi being taken in sandwich between the flap B2 and a zone B3 opposite the bag and fixed by

  collage on one of the sides (1'b) of the bag.

  According to the invention (see also Figure 5), the bonding of the flap B1 on the side i'b is provided in two separate areas, for example by two lines of adhesive 5 and 6, extending from substantially the edges of the bag

  towards the center and leaving between them a zone 7 of non-sticking.

  For example, the length of each line 5, 6 is roughly a third

the width of the bag 1 '.

  The lines of glue 5, 6 are either deposited on the side 1'b to the right of the area B3, or on the side a to the right of the flap Bi as indicated in 5 ', 6' on

Figure 5.

  Furthermore, in accordance with another characteristic of the invention, an adhesive label or the like 8 is attached to the bag 1 ′, straddling the

  flank i'b and the flap B2, and facing the non-bonding area 7.

  The adhesive with which the label 8 is coated is of the type allowing the

  takeoff and then re-sticking several times.

  Label 8 is placed on the filling and closing site

  of the bag, after completion of the flaps Bi, B2 and their bonding on the area B3.

  The label can have a variable shape and dimensions.

  Advantageously, it will be provided with a tab 9 or the like facilitating the taking of the label for the take-off of at least the part facing the

flap B2.

  Preferably, the remaining part of the label 8, that integral with the sidewall I'b, will not be completely detachable by providing for example a zone of

  permanent bonding on the side b.

  At the first opening of the bag 1 ′ (FIGS. 3, 4), the label part 8 opposite the flap B2 is detached from said flap in order to allow the engagement of the hand (arrow M) between the double folding and the side l'b, to the right of the area

non-sticking 7.

  Pulling up along the arrow in Figure 4, we take off the flap Bi of the side 1 'b of the bag until the release (Figure 5) of the end of the bag

  from which we can then take all or part of the content.

  To close the bag, the flaps Bi and B2 are replaced (figure 5) and then the unglued part (8a) of the label 8 is folded over the flap B2 at

  sort of return to its original position in Figure 2.

  Figures 7 to 9 illustrate a second embodiment of the bag 1 'which

  is identical to that of FIGS. 2 to 6. The label 8 is also identical.

  Only its original positioning is different.

  Indeed, the label 8 is directly and before filling and closing of the bag completely stuck on the side i'b in the same area as in the bag of the first embodiment. This positioning of the label does not hinder the bonding by the lines 5, 6 of the flap Bi on the side i'b of the bag since

  the label extends opposite the non-sticking area separating the lines 5,6.

  The opening of the bag takes place as illustrated in FIGS. 3, 4 and without having to touch the label 8 (see FIG. 8). To close the bag, it is necessary to peel off the part of the label (8a) initially masked by the flaps 13, B2 in the closed position, using a possible tab 9, then put the flaps B1, B2 in the closed position (Figure 9) and, finally, fold down the part 8a of the label 8 on the flap

  B2, thus reconstituting the closure according to FIG. 6.

Claims (5)

  1. Bag closed by double folding / gluing with a reclosing label or the like, of the type in which a first flap (B1) of the ends of the bag and then a second flap (B2) are made in order to stick the first flap (B1) on one of the sides of the bag, characterized in that said bonding is provided by two bonding zones (5, 6) distributed by a central non-gluing zone (7) capable of allowing the engagement of the hand under said first flap ( B1) to proceed with the opening of the bag and in that an adhesive label (8) or the like, is attached and glued to a side (1'b) of the bag, partly facing said non-glued area, said label (8) being capable of being partially detachable from the bag in view after folding in the position of   closure of the bag, to be folded down and glued to said flaps (B1, B2).   2. Bag according to claim 1 characterized in that the label (8) is positioned after filling and closing of the bag, straddling the flaps (B1, B2), the label part facing said flaps constituting said part detachable (8a).   3. Bag according to claim 1, characterized in that the label (8) is positioned before filling and closing the bag (1 ') on one (1'b) of the sides of the bag and so as to be in part in the non-gluing area, this   part of label constituting said detachable part (8a).   4. Bag according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the   detachable part (8a) of the label (8) is provided with a tab or the like (9) to facilitate its detachment.   5. Bag according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that   the label (8) includes a non-detachable part of the sidewall (1 'b) of the bag.
