DEVICE FOR PACKAGING AND APPLYING A PRODUCT, IN PARTICULAR

OF AN EYE-LINER

  The present invention relates to a device for packaging and applying a product, configured to apply a cosmetic product to the skin.

  By cosmetic product is meant a product as defined in Council Directive 93/35 / EEC of June 14, 1993, modifying Directive 10 76/768 / EEC for the sixth time.

  In particular, the invention relates to a device for applying a makeup product to the eyelids, in particular for applying a line to the

eyelids, namely an eyeliner.

  To draw a line on the eyelids, it is known to use makeup pencils. It is also known to use devices which include a reservoir containing a liquid product and an applicator equipped with a flexible application element for applying the product. Such devices are for example described in patent applications FR-A-2 633 256 and FR-A2 412 287. In this type of device, the application element is formed by a flocked or felt tip. so as to retain product, or else a point which has capillary grooves also making it possible to retain product. Indeed, the user tends to press more or less strongly on the point when she draws the line so that the point is more or less flattened on the eyelid so that the width of the point applied to the eyelid, and therefore that of the drawn line, vary. In the case of a brush, it is also very difficult to obtain a fine line which is regular. In addition, it is also very difficult to draw an identical line on the two eyelids because the user does not make quite the same gesture to draw a line on the two eyelids. She is indeed obliged either to change hands 10 for each eyelid which leads her to use one of the hands with which she is less skilled, or to use the same hand for both eyelids and to perform two movements different.   There are also devices for drawing lines on paper which consist of a roller which comes into contact with an ink pad in order to load ink and then transfer the ink onto the paper. A linear contact is therefore obtained, which further limits friction during the rotation of the applicator member.

  Advantageously, the applicator member can be removably mounted on the container. Thus, the user can change the applicator member if she wishes and replace it with another applicator member comprising for example a different applicator portion which makes it possible to draw a pattern of different shape.

  The applicator member is for example fixed on the container via a mounting band which can be fixed to the container for example by snap-fastening or screwing. The applicator portion can be formed by an annular surface of constant or variable width and which can be continuous. The applicator portion can

alternatively be discontinuous.

  According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the applicator member may comprise at least two applicator portions making it possible to draw at least two patterns simultaneously, or else which can be used each separately according to the choice of the user. The two applicator portions can be identical or else different. The device may further comprise a porous or fibrous member, contained at least partially inside the container, capable of absorbing product and of restoring it on the portion (s) of applicator (s). This allows in particular to limit the risks of product leakage when using a liquid product by

  When the applicator member comprises at least two applicator portions, the device can also comprise at least two porous or fibrous members capable of each containing a different product and of restoring it on each of the applicator portions so that each portion applicator either

  The porous or fibrous member may consist of a material chosen from cellular materials, in particular foams or sintered materials, or textile fibers. FIGS. 1 to 4 show an example of a packaging and application device comprising a container 10 secured, via a hoop 20, to an application member 30 which is capped, in the closed position, by a cap 40. The container contains a cosmetic product P, preferably liquid, and in particular a makeup product, such as for example a liquid ink, intended to be applied to an eyelid. You can also use a relatively pasty product that could be contained

directly into the container.

  The container 10 has a longitudinal axis X and a circular cross section which decreases progressively to a first end forming a bottom 11. The second end of the container is open and ends with a free edge 12 constituting a snap-on bead for fixing of the hoop 20 10 on the container.

  The hoop 20 has a base of circular cross section provided with a first annular groove 21 on its internal wall which allows its axial fixing on the container, the groove 21 being designed to receive the snap-on cord 15 12 of the container 10. The hoop 20 also has at its base a second

  annular groove 22 on its outer wall intended to receive an annular thread 41 formed on the cap in order to ensure the closure of the device. Two concave legs 23 and 24, diametrically opposite, extend from the base of the hoop gradually decreasing to two ends 23a and 24a 20 formed by two lugs oriented towards one another and towards the inside of the hoop.

Different application surfaces can be used, for example those shown developed in FIGS. 10A to 10D in order to draw a different pattern on the eyelid. An application member can be used, the application surface of which is in the form of a wave (FIG. 10A) or else defines a continuous line surmounted by a succession of arcs of a circle (FIG. 10B). The application surface can also be discontinuous

  (Figures 10C and 10OD) so as to form a dotted line.

  At a distance from the application surface 31, each face of the disc is formed by two conical portions 32 and 33 which each have a cavity 32a and 33a at the top of the cone. Each of the cavities 32a and 33a is intended to receive a lug 23a and 24a so as to form, on each side of the applicator portion, means of rotation coupling allowing the rotation of the applicator member around the axis of rotation Y. The cavities 32a and 33a have a cylindrical shape of revolution, their section, measured transversely to the axis of rotation Y, being circular. Thus, each lug 23a and 24a in the shape of a hemisphere is in contact with the application member only on a circular generator C so as to limit the friction between the application member and the hoop during the application of the product. This therefore allows the applicator member to easily move in rotation without

  The closure cap 40 is removably attached to the hoop by means of a net 41, provided on the internal surface of its wall, which cooperates with the annular groove 23 of the hoop, by covering the member. application 30.

  To apply a line on the eyelid, the user removes the cap 40 and, holding the container which serves as a grip handle, places the application surface 10 on her eyelid. It then suffices for it to move the device in translation along the eyelid so as to roll the application surface on the eyelid. The device illustrated in FIG. 5 differs from that which has just been described in that the hoop is fixed on the container not by snap-fastening but by screwing. The internal surface of the hoop this time has at its base a thread 26 which cooperates with a corresponding thread 13 formed on the external surface of the container 10.   The device shown in FIG. 6 differs from the first embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4 in that the applicator member only has this time a conical portion 32, the other face of the disc being plane.
