Abstract

The headlamp unit (12) and the air inlet (14) are formed from a single moulded block of material. The lamp unit may be divided by one or more internal partitions in order to provide separate spaces for different lamps (16). A cover glass (18) cover may be attached by screws (20), with a sealing. The motor vehicle headlamp unit (12) and the air inlet for the radiator grill (14) are formed from a single moulded block of material, forming the major part of a unit to be fitted to the bodywork of the vehicle. The air inlet portion of the structure (14) is formed beneath the headlamp unit (12). The lamp unit may be divided by one or more internal partitions, in order to provide separate spaces for different lamps (16). A cover glass (18) is removably attached to the lamp section of the unit, providing a seal. The cover may be attached by screws (20), with a sealing joint between the cover glass and the structure of the lamp unit. The lamp and air inlet may be formed in a single piece, by a single injection moldings operation.
