Abstract

The container, comprising a rectangular parallelpiped box with front (3), back (4) and side (5) walls, has a flap (8) with a slot by which it can be suspended, and an inner vertically-sliding drawer. The lower end of the drawer has a shutter that opens outwards to form a trough in which articles contained in the box drop by gravity so they can be easily extracted.

Description

<Desc / Clms Page number 1>

DISTRIBUTOR BOX
The invention relates to a box for dispensing articles contained in said box.

 The invention relates to a box for dispensing, more precisely but not exclusively, elongated elements such as fasteners intended to close sachets.

 These fasteners are formed by one or more metallic wires embedded in a ribbon, in particular plastic.

 The metal wires allow you to easily twist the fasteners.

 To date, these fasteners are housed in a traditional packaging box comprising a top wall forming an access flap.

 The user must constantly plunge the fingers of the hand into the box to grab the fasteners but these fasteners having metal wires, it is not uncommon for the user to prick himself by grabbing a fastener.

 Another problem is the fact that, when the packaging is relatively high and the box three-quarters empty, the user can no longer grab the fasteners by plunging his hand inside and must turn it over to partially empty the content which is not practical.

 Another package is known which allows the distribution of elongated articles.

 This packaging is in the form of a rectangular box whose height is greater than the width and the length.

 In one of the vertical walls, there is provided a pre-cutting line delimiting a hinged flap in its lower part so that, when the flap is moved away from the plane defined by the vertical wall, a beak is released then forming a sort of receptacle in which the articles which can be seized are stored.

 We regret that once opened, this packaging can no longer be closed properly.

 The invention proposes to provide a solution in particular to the problems mentioned above.

 To this end, the invention relates to a gravity dispenser box comprising an envelope constituted by a front wall, a wall

<Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 dorsal, two side walls, a lower wall and an upper wall and at the base of the box, a flap articulated in its lower part to form, in the open position, a spout, this box being characterized in that the flap is carried by a sliding drawer along an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the front wall.

 The invention will be better understood with the aid of the description below given by way of nonlimiting example with regard to the drawing which schematically represents: FIGS. 1 to 3: perspective views of a box according to the invention, - Figures 4 and 5: developed view of part of the box, - Figure 6: side view of the drawer, - Figure 7: view of the inner face of the envelope.

 Referring to the drawing, we see a closed distribution box 1 (Figure 1) intended to contain articles and in particular fasteners.

 Conventionally, this distribution box is delimited by an envelope 2.

 The box comprises a front wall 3, a back wall 4, two side walls 5, a bottom wall 6 and an upper wall 7.

 This box additionally includes an upper tab 8 in order to suspend it.

 This tab 8 has, for example, a hole 9 or is shaped like a hook (Figure 3) to allow it to hang.

 In the open position (Figures 2 and 3), we see that at the base of the box, there is a flap 10 articulated in its lower part to form, in the open position, a spout.

 This spout, in the open position, delimits a receptacle 11 in which the articles which can be easily grasped accumulate.

 According to a characteristic of the invention, the shutter 10 is carried by a slide 12 sliding along an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the front wall 3.

 In a first embodiment (Figure 2), the drawer 12 is housed in the volume defined by the front 3, back 4 and side 5 walls with the front face of the drawer constituting the bottom wall 6 of the box.

 Thus, when the drawer is out, the shutter can be opened and when the drawer is in the retracted position, the shutter is inaccessible.

 The box can thus be closed after use without fear of losing fasteners.

<Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 The flap comprises two lateral slides 13 with at least one of the slides carrying a stop 15 projecting to cooperate with the internal face of the box in order to limit the opening of the flap.

 The stop 15 is carried by a lug.

 Advantageously, the drawer and the box are provided with stops 16, 17 limiting the translation of the drawer in the direction of opening.

 In the example shown, the stop 16 carried by the drawer is presented by a tab 18 folded out of the drawer and the stop carried by the box is presented by the edge 19 of a cut 20 made in a second tab 21 carried by the box.

 In FIG. 4, there is shown the developed part of the envelope comprising the back wall 4, the two side walls 5 and the front wall 3 as well as the tab 21 with its cutout 20.

Note, in the upper part, the fastening tab 8 and the upper wall 7.
The attachment tab 8 is obtained by at least one notch 22 provided on the lower edge of the envelope in order to take hold of the drawer.

 In FIG. 5, there is shown the outline of an example of a drawer which is housed in the envelope as it appears in FIGS. 1 and 2.

 It can be seen that the sides 22 of the drawer which are parallel to the side walls are formed from two areas of the press-down folded over one another and enclosing a tab 23 carried by the bottom wall or front face of the drawer and the rear face 25 of the drawer.

 To improve the geometric stability of the drawer, when the latter is in volume, the drawer also has a rear wall but this rear wall is not compulsory.

 We see that the tab 18 carrying the stop 16 comes from a cutout of a tab 23 of the drawer.

 There is shown a locking flap 26 for locking the side 22 and a locking flap 27 which is applied to the bottom 14 of the drawer.

 It will be understood that these developments are not limiting for the protection of innovation, other solutions of developments are possible.

 In an alternative embodiment of the dispenser box (Figure 3), the drawer is in the form of a sleeve which, comprising an end wall forming the

<Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 lower wall, surrounds the envelope delimited by the dorsal, front and side walls.

 These provisions allow the fasteners which are, in one of the solutions retained, of length at most equal to the width of the box to present themselves horizontally in the receptacle formed by displacement of the drawer and opening of the shutter.

 The fasteners can be gripped in the middle between two fingers without the risk of pricking.

 The fasteners are not likely to mix.

 The friction between the drawer and the envelope is sufficient to keep the drawer open or closed.
