Abstract

The sanitary block consists of one or more modules (10, 20, 30), each of two sections (11, 12; 21, 22; 31, 32) with toilet (43) and washbasin (45) facilities, connected by a central joint (13, 23, 33) and mounted on a raised floor above a base slab. The modules are positioned side-by-side with the central joints aligned, and the block has drain pipes arranged under the floor. Its wall panels (15, 16) and ceiling are fitted together by interlocking extrusions and fastenings.

Modular sanitary room.

 The invention relates to a modular sanitary room, as well as modules and blocks for building this room.

 In company premises, the sanitary rooms are often built in hard ", that is to say these rooms are delimited by partitions for example of bricks, concrete blocks or plaster tiles. These partitions are then dressed in wall tiles, while the floor is tiled. The sanitary fixtures are fixed to the partitions or the floor, and connected to water supply or drainage pipes. Preferably, the pipes are embedded in the partitions or in the ground, for reasons of aesthetics and protection against vandalism. A ceiling or false ceiling closes the sanitary room.

 It is common for corporate premises to change uses. However, hard sanitary rooms have the disadvantage of not being able to be moved to be installed in a location closer to the users or to free up a space necessary for industrial equipment for example. If it is essential to move the sanitary room, it is necessary to demolish the existing installation and rebuild one at the new location.

 Monoblock cells have been proposed integrating sanitary equipment. However, such cells have the drawback of being very bulky for handling. So it is sometimes impossible to get them through

 certain doors or openings to install them in the desired location.

 We know from document FR-Al-2. 579.646 sanitary cabins to assemble yourself. These cabins have a floor, partitions assembled together and on the floor, and a monobloc ceiling fixed on the partitions. They can be fitted beforehand with sanitary appliances such as a washbasin, a WC basin or a shower. Several cabins can be arranged side by side and assembled.

 The elements of these cabins have the advantage of being able to be transported individually even in inaccessible places. However, these cabins need to be integrated into an already existing room.

 It is an object of the invention to remedy these problems. It aims to provide a modular sanitary room in which various sanitary devices can be integrated, which can be dismantled and then reassembled in a different location, and possibly in a different configuration. The components must be easy to handle. The sanitary room must be independent of the surrounding structural elements.

 With these objectives in view, the invention relates to a sanitary room installed on a slab, comprising at least one module of two contiguous blocks along a central joint, each block comprising a floor, at least one partition panel on one side of the floor, the partition panel facing the partition panel of the other block, characterized in that

 that the modules are arranged side by side so that the central joints are aligned, the floor is raised relative to the slab, the room has networks that pass under the floor and each module also has a ceiling fixed on the partition panels of each block of the module.

 Thanks to the invention, the sanitary room is entirely modular, its size can be adapted by adding or removing modules of two blocks. The modules are placed side by side so that the partition panels from one module to another are in the same plane to constitute a partition. The end modules have partition panels to close the sanitary room.

Each module has its independent structure, and it is not necessary to link it to other load-bearing elements. In addition, each constituent element is separable from the other elements, which allows easy handling of these elements.

 The raised floor allows the passage of networks, in particular for the evacuation of waste water from sanitary appliances, but also the pipes for the water supply. Thus, it is not necessary to include these networks in a slab, which avoids heavy work for the production of grooves in the ground.

 The invention also relates to a module for building a sanitary room installed on a slab as described above, the module comprising two blocks, each block comprising a floor, at least one partition panel on one side of the floor, the panel partition facing the partition panel of the other block, characterized in that the floor is raised relative to the slab to allow networks to pass under the floor, and the module further comprises a ceiling fixed on the partition panels of each block.

 For a module, the partitions and the ceiling are fixed together by means of a profile enclosing the edge of the partition, fasteners composed of a latch and a strike making a connection between the profile and the ceiling. The use of such fasteners significantly facilitates the mounting of the ceiling. In addition, these fasteners also allow the disassembly of the ceiling in order to reassemble the room in another place.

Maintenance interventions on the technical duct networks are easy after a simple removal of the removable panels; - The technical sheath comprises segments of conduits intended to be connected to the segments of conduits of the adjacent blocks, said segments of conduits supplying water to sanitary appliances fixed on the sheath. The assembly of the sanitary room is thus faster. Since the pipe segments are already in place in the technical sheath, only a connection operation between the adjacent segments is necessary.

 The sanitary room 1, shown in FIG. 1, comprises three modules, including an intermediate module 20 framed by two end modules 10,30, and an access platform 40.  central, a support partition panel 15, 16, 25, 26, 35, 36. In addition, the blocks 11, 12; 31,32 of the end modules 10,30 each have an end partition panel 41,42 along the periphery of the room. By way of example, the end partition panel 42 of the block 12 includes a room access door facing the access platform.

 Along the support partition panels, technical ducts 17, 18, 27, 28, 37, 38 are installed on the floors 117 in the sanitary room. These technical ducts include sanitary devices such as urinals 43, WC bowls 44, washbasins 45 or water heaters 49. Separating partitions 46, fixed on a floor 117 and a technical duct 27,37, create toilet cubicles . Screens 47 also separate the urinals 43.

 FIG. 2 shows the framework 110 of the floor 117 of a block 11. It includes a square frame 113 supported by four feet 111, possibly provided with height adjustment systems to facilitate wedging. The frame 113 has cross members 112.

The frame 110 is made for example from stainless steel profiles or protected from corrosion by a coating or surface treatment. The height of the frame is for example 400 to 600 mm, while the frame has sides of length 1500 to 2000 mm.

 A board 114, shown in FIG. 10, of the same plan dimensions as the frame 113, is fixed to the framework 110. This board 114 is for example made of agglomerated wood or of rot-proof plywood. It receives a coating 115, by

 plasticized example, to constitute the finishing of the ground in the room. Preferably, this coating 115 is waterproof, non-slip, resistant to oils and chemicals, and it does not spread fire.

The coating 115 is for example glued to the board 114.

 Each partition panel 15, 16, 25, 26, 35, 36, 41, 42 comprises an insulating core 151, a peripheral frame 152, for example of wood, which surrounds the core 151, and two facings 153, 154 which cover the core 151 and the peripheral frame 152. The facings are for example plasticized to be waterproof, resistant to oils and chemicals, and not to spread the fire.

 Each module 10, 20, 30 has a ceiling 14, 24, 34 which is fixed to the support partition panels 15, 16, 25, 26, 35, 36. For example, with reference to FIG. 11, the ceiling has three ceiling panels 140, joined along ceiling joints which extend from one partition panel to the other in a longitudinal direction of the ceiling.

Each ceiling panel 140 comprises an insulating core 141 and two ceiling cladding 142,143 made of sheet steel, the ceiling cladding forming a box which encloses the insulating core 141. The longitudinal edges include grooves 144, tabs 145 s' inserting into these grooves 144 to assemble the ceiling panels 140 therebetween.

 Fasteners 50 are provided for assembling the partition panels, the ceilings together and on the floors 117. These fasteners 50 include a latch 51 and a keeper 52, shown in detail on the

Likewise, as can be seen in FIG. 10, the partition panels include two latches 51 fixed in mortises 159 made in the lower horizontal edge 157. For each lock, an access hole 160 in the operating member 54 is provided in the panel. The latches and strikes are fixed, for example, by screws screwed into the edge of the partition panels.

 As can be seen in FIG. 6, the technical sheaths comprise a sheath frame 180, produced for example from metal tube, preferably protected against corrosion. On said sheath frame 180 are fixed sanitary devices such as a urinal 43, a toilet bowl 44, a benchtop with a built-in sink 45 or a water heater 49, as well as a water supply pipe 181.

 In a configuration with sinks, the water heater 49 is connected to the pipe

 supply 181 and sink 45. The sink is also connected to supply line 181.

 In a configuration with a urinal, the latter is connected to the supply line 181. In a configuration with an English-style toilet bowl 44, the flush is under pressure or with a tank 440, also installed in the technical sheath. The reservoir is connected to the supply line 181 on the one hand and to the bowl 44 on the other. The control is carried out by timed pushbutton or by infrared cell.

 In a configuration with a Turkish bowl, the floor is cut to fit the bowl. This is preferably made of stainless steel sheet to limit an excess thickness with the plane of the floor. The exhaust pipe runs under the floor. The supply line passes through the technical sheath, the flush control being similar to that for urinals or English bowls.

 On each technical sheath, the supply pipe 181 has at its two ends a fitting 184, preferably flexible, intended to be connected to the fitting of the pipe of the adjacent block.

 To assemble a sanitary room 1 according to the invention, one proceeds as follows. The floors 117 are arranged side by side in two rows. In the example of Figures 3 to 5, the floors 117 are arranged in two rows of three. They are wedged so that the boards 114 are coplanar. They are assembled together preferably by direct bolting of

 frames 113 between them, or indirectly by means of fishplates 48 in the case where the floors have a relative spacing.

 Starting profiles 116 for the partition panels are then fixed to each floor 117, along the entire periphery of all the floors. Each starting profile 116 has the length of that of the side of a floor 117. It has an inverted U section, but it could also be a square tube or an angle. It is preferably fixed by bolting to the frame 113 of the frame 110 of the floor 117, at a level a few centimeters lower than the upper level of the frame.

 Each starting profile 116 has two strikes. A partition panel 15, 16, 25, 26, 35, 36, 41, 42 is disposed on each starting profile 116 so that the strikes 52 are opposite the two latches 51 of the lower edge 157 of the partition panel. The cams 53 are turned so that they cooperate with the strikes 52 and so that the partition panel is thus fixed to the starting profile 116.

 When two partition panels are joined edge to edge, the cams 53 of the latches 51 are rotated so that the partition panels are assembled. When the partition panels are joined at a right angle, the strikes and the cams are replaced by plates 66 which have a tapped hole 67. The plates 66 are fixed to the panels by countersunk screws 68. A vertical angle 60, shown in Figure 9, is placed in the corner, wings 61,62 of the angle iron 60 on the edges of the partition panels. 65 screws pass through

 holes 63 in the wings of the angle iron and are screwed into the tapped hole 67. An angle plate 64 covers the angle to make a covering.

 To install the ceilings, a head section 70, shown in FIG. 10, is fixed to the upper edge 158 of the partition panels. This head section 70 has an inverted U section, and one of the two wings of which has a heel 71 towards the outside. The upper edge 158 is enclosed in the section of the U and the heel 71 is directed towards the interior of the sanitary room 1.

 The ceiling panels 140 of a module are placed on the heels 71 of two head sections 70 facing each other. Tabs 145 are placed in the longitudinal grooves 144 of the ceiling panels. At least one of the ceiling panels has a latch 51 at each end. A keeper is fixed in each partition panel opposite the latches to form a fastener 50.

Thus, the ceiling panels establish a connection between the upper edges of the partition panels of the same module. The ceilings from one module to another are also assembled by a tab 145.

 In this way, the partition and ceiling panels form an exterior envelope of the sanitary room 1.

 Then, the technical ducts are placed inside the sanitary room along the support partition panels. Optionally, the framework 180 is fixed to the floor 117. The pipes

 supply 181 of the adjacent technical sheaths are connected to each other by means of the fittings 184. A free end of the supply pipes is closed and the other end is connected to a general supply 81 of water to distribute the water to all sanitary fixtures. A water distribution network is thus obtained very quickly.

 There are also laying evacuation pipes 182 from each sanitary appliance, and two collectors 80 between the boards 114 and the slab 2, and under the adjacent technical sheaths along the same side, the evacuation pipes 182 being connected to the collectors 80. The collector is then connected to a drainage network for the waste water, not shown.

 Finally, separating partitions 46 are placed to create toilet cubicles, according to a technique known per se. Likewise, the room can be equipped with lighting and a ventilation system.

 The invention is not limited to the example which has just been described. The number of modules can be lower or higher. To increase the size of the modules or decrease the size of the floors and lighten them, it is possible to add a third intermediate floor between the two blocks of the same module. In addition, a shower cabin can be fitted with the corresponding equipment, in the same way as a Turkish toilet bowl.

Claims (10)

1. Sanitary room (1) installed on a slab (2), comprising at least one module (10,20, 30) of two blocks (11, 12; 21,22; 31,32) joined along a joint central (13,23, 33), each block comprising: - a floor (117), - at least one partition panel (15,16, 25,26, 35,36) on one side of the floor (117), the partition panel facing the partition panel of the other block, characterized in that: - the modules (10,20, 30) are arranged side by side - side so that the central joints (13,23, 33) are aligned, -the floor (117) is raised relative to the slab (2), -the room has networks (80) which pass under the floor (117) -and each module (10,20, 30) further comprises a ceiling (14, 24, 34) fixed to the partition panels (15, 16, 25, 26, 35, 36) of each block.  2.
