Abstract

The vehicle for spreading road metalling binder has a spreading ramp (1) with binder diffusers (2) to project the binder onto the road (9) to form a layer to hold gravel in place. It has a second series of diffusers (8) to spray an enrobing layer of binder onto the road surface. The two binding diffusers operate independently to vary the coating application.
