Abstract

  The present invention relates to a guard post

  body of generally tubular shape, suitable for being plugged in by its foot, defined by a certain length of its lower part, in a tubular base which may include a floor joist, a formwork platform, a concrete slab or similar, this foot having, at a certain distance from its lower end, a stop capable of coming to bear on the upper end of this base, being furthermore provided that a plinth clamp ring can be engaged

on said post.

  Such railings are used especially on scaffolding as well as on platforms or gangways for formwork and the like. In principle, the posts are intended to hold in place, by means of pliers, on the one hand of the plinths leaving no gap between them and the floor, to avoid the fall of tools or that the foot does not miss personnel using these walkways, on the other hand, smooth and sub-rails generally secured to the posts and constituting the railing proper, preventing the accidental passage of a human body. In general, plinth or other pliers are integral with circular rings threaded on round posts, so that

  In Figures 1 and 2 there is shown a tubular post 1 assumed to have a round cross section and intended to be plugged into the correspondingly shaped tubular base 2 of a floor joist 3 which may be of rectangular cross section and whose surface upper 4 is provided to be level with that of the floor (not shown) of scaffolding,

formwork gangway or the like.

  Near the lower end of its base 1a, the post 1 has a circular stop 5 located at a distance from this end which corresponds at least approximately to the length of the base 2 and which is intended to come to rest on the surface 4 when the post is plugged into the base 2. The ring 13 can therefore no longer move nor downwards (stop of branch 14 on plinth 16), nor upwards (stop of ring 13 against

arm 25).

  From the locking position in FIG. 8, unlocking is easily obtained by causing the arm 25 to retract into the post 1, then sliding the ring 13 upwards, the bar 7 returning to its rest position of Figure 6 as soon as the ring 13 has passed over the upper arm 25, which

authorizes the extraction of the post.

  In the rest position (pole storage), the ring 13 can still be brought between the stop 5 and the intermediate arm 9, which prevents it from escaping from the

post 1.

  The main advantage of the invention, common to all the embodiments described, is that it makes it very easy to realize that the post is securely locked on its base, since this is necessarily the case when the plinth is in place . In addition, locking the pole requires no additional assembly time, tools or additional parts

  1. Guardrail post of generally tubular shape, suitable for being plugged in by its foot (la), defined by a certain length of its lower part, in a tubular base (2) which may include a floor joist (3) , a formwork platform, a concrete slab or the like, this foot (la) having, at a certain distance from its lower end, a stop (5) capable of coming to bear on the upper end of this base, further being provided that a plinth clamp ring (13) can be engaged on said post (1), characterized in that it internally comprises at least one locking bar (7) subjected to a restoring force elastic, articulated on a transverse axis (6) of the post and having at least two arms extending substantially at right angles to the body (8) of the bar, namely a lower arm (10) located at said foot ( the) of the post (1) or below this foot, and an inter arm medial (9) lying opposite a through hole (11) of the post, this bar (7) being able to pivot on this axis (6) between two positions: - a rest position for which, under the effect of said force of elastic return, its intermediate arm (9) crosses said hole (11) of the post, and its lower arm (10) is located entirely in the day of the post; and - a locking position for which the maintenance in the retracted position in the post (1) of said intermediate arm (9) of the locking bar (7) is ensured, at the same time as the output of its lower arm (10) in transverse direction, after pivoting of the bar (7) 12 2788804   around said axis (6) against said elastic restoring force, as a result of which, said base (2) constituting a stop for the lower arm (10) of the locking bar (7), the foot (the ) of the post (1) cannot be extract from this base (2).   2.
