Abstract

The envelope (1) is made from three sections. It has a front face (2) and a base face (3) that is positioned opposite the front face to form a storage pocket with an insertion opening, and a foldable flap (4) that closes the insertion opening. An attachment tab (7) is connected top one of the three parts to attach the envelope before it is used to an external support. To use the envelope in its assembled form it must be detached from its attachment tab.

DETACHABLE COVER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD

OF SUCH AN ENVELOPE

  The present invention relates to an envelope or pouch. The envelopes or pouches usually encountered each consist essentially of three parts, namely, a front face and a bottom face mutually opposite so as to form a document storage pocket which has a document insertion opening on the one hand , and a folding shutter for closing said opening integrally with the face

before on the other hand.

  Such envelopes have no element making it possible to fix them on a support, for example in brochures, either individually by means of a staple or an eyelet, or between them in order to constitute a notebook or a

grouping of products.

  The object of the invention is to remedy the drawbacks

  mentioned above and this, by a simple and effective means.

  To this end, according to the invention, an envelope of the aforementioned type is essentially characterized in that at least one hooking tab has come integrally with one of the three constituent parts of the envelope (front face, face of bottom, folding flap), this hooking lug being intended to secure the casing before it

  use on an external support.

  Thus, the envelope according to the present invention can be immobilized on any support, including on other envelopes, by means of one or more attachment tabs. The envelope according to the invention may optionally further include one or more of the following characteristics: - the attachment tab is detachable so that after tearing, the envelope is used in its integral form; the front face has come in one piece with the bottom face and two lateral tabs, the bottom face being folded over the two lateral tabs themselves folded towards the inside of the pocket, and the hooking tab having come from material with the bottom face; - The hooking tab has come integrally with a lateral edge of the bottom face; - The hooking lug can be detached from the bottom face along a line of weakness, formed along one of the lateral edges of the bottom face; - A second hooking tab has come integrally with a second lateral edge of the bottom face opposite the first lateral edge; the envelope is inserted in a package, the assembly being perforated at the hooking tab to be suspended from a suspension means. The envelope can thus be hung on a display to facilitate its use or sale; - two translucent windows are carried by the front face and the bottom face; and - a translucent window extends from the face

  The present invention also relates to a set of envelopes comprising a stack of envelopes as defined above, the hooking tabs of the successive envelopes being made integral with each other. Thus, the envelopes can be sold in the form of notebooks from which they are detached.

  The casing 1 according to the present invention and represented in FIG. 1 essentially consists of three parts: a front face 2, a bottom face 3 and a folding flap 4. These three constituent parts 2, 3 and 4 are made in one piece together, for example in a sheet of paper, or in a cardboard sheet or else

  The folding flap 4 is located on a first longitudinal edge 12 of the front face 2 opposite to a second longitudinal edge 13 of this face from which extends the bottom face 3. This folding flap is substantially of

trapezoidal shape.

  The front face 2 is also made in one piece with two lateral legs 5 and 6. These two lateral legs are substantially trapezoidal in shape and extend on either side of the front face 2, along its two lateral edges

14 and 15.

  One of the three free edges of the bottom face 3 is

  extended by a lug 7.

  Preferably, this hooking tab 7 has come integrally with the bottom face 3, along one 16 of its two lateral edges 16 and 17. The lateral edge 16 is of

  advantageously constituted by a line of weakness-

  ment 8, thus delimiting the bottom face 3 of the tab

hanging 7.

  The front face 2 and the bottom face 3 are substantially rectangular, the surface of the face

  bottom 3 being less than that of the front face 2.

  The manufacturing process of the envelope 1 consists in cutting, from a reel or a sheet of paper, the developed shape of the envelope as represented in FIG. 1. This cutting is carried out using rotary knives or cookie cutters, only the weakening line 8 is produced using a special lateral knife in which a portion of the cutting edge has been replaced by a dotted line. It can thus be seen that the presence of the fastening tab 7 does not involve any expenditure of material greater than a conventional envelope since this tab is inscribed in the width of the reel or in the width of the sheet necessary for the production

  of the front face 2 and of the two lateral tabs 5 and 6.

  The realization of the envelope then consists in folding the two lateral legs 5 and 6 as well as the bottom face 3 on the front face 2, then in joining by bonding the bottom face 3 on the two lateral legs 5 and 6. On thus forms a document storage pocket 20 having an insertion opening 21 facing the flap

folding 4.

  In a manner known per se, the foldable flap 4 carries an adhesive strip protected by a removable tab 10. This tab 10 is intended to be removed when it is desired to close the envelope by the foldable flap 4. As a variant, the foldable flap 4 can be erased, self-adhesive or have not undergone any

treatment.

  The envelope 1 described above can be, thanks to its hooking tab 7, fixed to any external support by conventional fixing techniques such as stapling, stitching, binding, riveting, broaching, perforation or even bonding. In the latter case, the attachment tab 7 carries a glued area 22 on one of its faces (Figure 2). The envelope used has, after removing the hooking tab, an integral shape identical to any conventional envelope, that is to say that the bottom face 3 resumes its original shape, the lateral edges 16 and 17 being glued to the lateral tabs 5 and 6, set back from the edges of the front face 2, thus delimiting a

classic storage pocket.

  As a variant, a second hooking lug may come in one piece with the bottom face 3, along the lateral edge 17 opposite the lateral edge 16 carrying the first

hanging tab 7.

  A first more particularly advantageous use consists in, as shown in FIG. 4, forming groups of envelopes 11 by producing a stack of envelopes 1 which are secured to each other.

  When one wants to use an envelope that is part of a group of envelopes thus gathered, it suffices to exert traction on it to separate this envelope from its hooking tab 7 along the line of weakening 8.   A second advantageous use of the envelope described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 consists in making, using such envelopes, envelopes notebooks 30 such as that shown in FIG. 5 and comprising a rigid bottom 31 connected to a flexible cover 32.   Another preferred use of the envelope according to the invention is shown in FIG. 6 and consists in making a bag 40 comprising an envelope 1 such as that described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, which is

  housed in a thermoplastic film 41 serving as protection.

  The film 41 and the envelope 1 are perforated in correspondence at a point 42 of the fastening tab 7 so as to be

  hanging on a hook of a gondola for example.

  The envelope can thus be sold individually without suffering

alteration of his condition.

  Figure 7 shows yet another use of the envelope according to the invention. This envelope has one or more translucent windows 50 which are carried by the front face 2 and / or the bottom face 3. The hooking tab 7 is perforated at 51. This envelope can thus be suspended from a display stand and the content is visible from the outside. As a variant, the windows 50 can be brought together to form a single continuous window 55 (FIG. 8) which extends from the front face 2 up to the bottom face 3, passing through the longitudinal edge 13. On the front face, the window 55 extends to the level of the

  folding shutter 4 by one end 55a.

  In still other variants, one or more envelopes 1 can be inserted into a magazine, for example being pinned by their hooking tab at the binding of said magazine. This allows you to post a response coupon also housed in the journal. The hanging tab can also be pinned or stapled on

any type of support.

Claims (13)

  1. Envelope (1) essentially comprising three constituent parts, on the one hand a front face (2) and a bottom face (3) mutually opposite so as to form a document storage pocket (20) which has an opening d insertion (21) of the documents, and on the other hand a folding flap (4) for closing said opening (21) integrally with the front face (2), characterized in that at least one hooking tab (7) came integrally with one of the three constituent parts of the envelope [the front face (2), the bottom face (3), the folding flap (4)], this hooking tab (7 ) being intended to secure the envelope (1) before its use to an external support.   2. Envelope according to claim 1, characterized in that the attachment tab (7) is detachable so that after tearing, the envelope is used in its form integrated.   3. Envelope according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the front face (2) is integrally formed with the bottom face (3) and two lateral tabs (5, 6), the bottom face (3) being folded over the two side tabs (5, 6) themselves folded inwardly of the pocket (20), characterized in that the hooking tab (7) has come   of material with the bottom face (3).   4. Envelope according to claim 3, characterized in that the hooking lug (7) is integrally formed with a first (16) lateral edge (16,17) of the bottom face (3).   5. Envelope according to claims 2 and 4,   characterized in that the hooking tab (7) can be detached from the bottom face (3) along a line of weakness (8), formed along one (16) of the lateral edges (16, 17) of the bottom face (3). 6. Envelope according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that a second hooking tab has come integrally with a second (17) lateral edge (16,17)   from the bottom face (3) opposite the first lateral edge (16).   7. Envelope according to any one of   previous claims, characterized in that   the envelope (1) is inserted into a package, the assembly being perforated at the hooking tab (7) to   be suspended from a means of suspension.   8. Envelope according to any one of   previous claims, characterized in that two   translucent windows (50) are carried by the front face (2) and the bottom face (3).   9. Envelope according to any one of   Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that a window   translucent extends from the front face (2) to the bottom face (3).   10. Set of envelopes characterized in that it comprises a stack of envelopes (1) according to one   any of claims 1 to 5, the lugs   (7) successive envelopes being joined together each other.   11. Set of envelopes according to claim 10, characterized in that the attachment tabs (7) are   joined together by gluing.   12. Set of envelopes according to claim 10 or 11, characterized in that it further comprises a bottom   rigid (31) and a flexible cover (32).   13. Method of manufacturing an envelope according to   any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that   that the method comprises the steps of; - cutting the developed shape of the envelope, including the hooking tab (7), from a sheet of material; and - fold and fold the bottom face (3) over the face   front (2) to form the storage pocket.
