Abstract

The camera case comprises a base (1) which goes under the sole of the camera and a raised wall (2) which comes only part way up the sides of the camera, and a gap (4) at the front to receive the lens holder and leave the controls free. The base and side wall are made from a shell of a rigid and elastic material, and a lining of a supple material in contact with the camera body and which can also be used for the external surfaces. The shell is of zinc and the lining of leather or skin.

On s'intéresse ici aux étuis résistants, susceptibles de protéger des appareils portatifs de chocs accidentels notamment quand ils sont portés en bandoulière, en excluant donc les étuis entièrement souples qui ne peuvent protéger les appareils que des éraflures ou de la poussière. Les étuis rigides connus comprennent généralement une partie inférieure et une partie supérieure réunies à l'arrière par un rivet et dont l'une porte une queue souple à l'endroit du rivet pour permettre d'ouvrir l'étui et de dégager l'appareil. Les deux parties sont unies par des boutons-pressions à l'avant.
