PROTECTION POUR DISQUES OPTIQUES.
La plupart des disques optiques portent des enregistrements audio. video ou autres sur une seule face. l'autre face étant réservée aux titres ou renseignements concernant la ou les couches des différents enregistrements.
Seule la face active des disques est fragile et craint évidemment les griffes, poussières et traces des doigts qui les manipulent pour les extraire de leur boîtier ou enveloppe de protection et les introduire dans un appareil d'enregistrement ou de reproduction automatique des informations, et les manipulent à nouveau pour effectuer les opérations inverses.
D'autre part. les boites actuelles de protection des disques sont trop lourdes, trop volumineuses et d'un cc0t trop élevé.
Le but de la présente invention est de proposer des moyens pour protéger seulement la face active d'un disque pendant son stockage et permettre sa manipulation sans que les doigts de l'utilisateur ne puissent toucher la face active de celui-ci.
Un autre but est de réaliser une protection pour la face active du disque qui laisse complètement découverte la face portant les inscriptions ou destinée à les recevoir.
Un autre but est de proposer des moyens très simples pour pouvoir solidariser ou désolidariser, de façon semi-permanente, un disque avec sa protection.
Un autre but est de proposer une protection permettant aussi que le disque puisse être saisi, si nécessaire, de façon classique, manuellement par son centre ou son pourtour.
Pour atteindre ces buts. on prévoit de réaliser une protection pour la face sensible du disque scus forme d'une surface circulaire sensiblement plate en matière plastique souple ou flexible de faible épaisseur d'un diamètre sensiblement le même que celui du disque à protéger et muni d'un rebord périphérique de sensiblement l'épaisseur du disque lui-même.
le diamètre intérieur du rebord étant légèrement plus petit que le bord extérieur du disque afin que la surface de protection puisse s'y maintenir ou s'y accrocher de façon semi-permanente avec un léger serrage permettant ainsi de manipuler le disque sans que les doigts de l'utilisateur ne puissent toucher la face active de celui-ci, la face non protégée restant toujours découverte pour la lecture visuelle des graphismes ou pour recevoir diverses

Afin de bien faire comprendre l'invention on donnera ci-après des exemples non-limitatifs.
La FIG. 1 donne une vue en plan de la face non protégée, visible du disque.
La FIG. 2 est une vue en coupe suivant A-B de la FIG. 1 et montre la couverture de protection 2 destinée à protéger toute la face sensible du disque 1.
La couverture 2 est par exemple ralisée en polyéthylène ou polypropylène de faible épaisseur de forme circulaire et munie d'un rebord périphe- rique thermoformé 4, d'une hauteur sensiblement égale à l'épaisseur du disque à protéger, et d'un diamètre intérieur légèrement plus petit que le diamètre du bord périphérique extérieur du disque lui-même afin qu'une pression des doigts sur le pourtour l'oblige, grâce à la souplesse ou la flexibilité de la couverture 2 à s'agripper sur le rebord périphérique du disque et à s'y maintenir, toute la surface sensible 3 étant ainsi maintenant protégée et le disque peut être manipulé sans que les doigts ne puissent toucher directement la surface sensible 3.
On pourra donc enserrer l'ensemble dans le sens des flêches 5-6, par exemple pour découvrir le disque en détachant une partie de la couverture 2 en appuyant sur le bord périphérique 4 dans le sens de la flêche 7 de façon à

En même temps, la couverture se désolidarise complètement d'avec le disque, lequel est pris en charge par le mécanisme de l'appareil automatique 10.
Lorsque l'appareil 10 aura terminé d'enregistrer ou de reproduire les informations, son mécanisme restitue le disque dans la position où il a été introduit, et peut être saisi, avec la couverture, comme dans la position de la FIG. 3, pour permettre une manipulation inverse de la remise en place de la couverture de protection sur le disque.
