Abstract

The assembly, made on a rolling machine, consists of inner and outer skins on either side of a framework of I-beams, all made from a fibre composition material and a thermosetting resin. The I-beams are made by cutting them from rolled hollow elements prior to stoving, and they are assembled to form rigid hollow frame sections which are filled with foam panels, e.g. of melamine.
