Abstract

The vehicle windscreen wiper comprises a wiper blade (10) pivoted about a transverse axis (A1) at the longitudinal front end of a wiper arm. The blade has two longitudinal webs (12) joined by an upper transverse back (14) having an opening (18) allowing mounting of the blade on the arm. A removable cover (20) has two opposite legs (26,44) extending vertically towards the arm from the cover lower face (24), through the upper back opening. Each leg faces an internal face (28) of one of the two webs. At the legs' free ends are transverse hooks (32) which engage in the lower edge (38) of the corresponding blade longitudinal web ensuring fixing of the cover on the blade. The cover is supported by its upper lateral rims (40) on the edges (36) of the blade back opening. The length of the legs is equal to the height of the webs and the leg hooks extend transversely outwards and have a length equal to the thickness of the webs.
