Abstract

The cover consists of a layer (3) of a supple material with dimensions to fit the pool and fastened to transverse reinforcing bars (4). The bars are made from triangular-section extrusions, each with a base (20) which has its ends resting on the edges of the swimming pool and at least one side (21) which faces away from the direction in which the cover is rolled and forms an angle (22) of less than 70 degrees with the base. The reinforcing bars fit into sleeves (25) on the covering layer's upper surface or, in a variant each one can be in the form of an extrusion with grooves along its two opposite sides to receive separate sections of the cover. The cover is made from a synthetic, e.g. composite, material.

Description

The invention relates to a rollable recovery device for

  in particular to cover a pool such as a pool, comprising, on the one hand, a flexible cover sheet with dimensions preferably adapted to those of the pool to be covered and, on the other hand, reinforcement bars arranged transversely and to which is rendered solidary

said cover sheet.

  The present invention will find its application in the field of

  covers for pools, especially pool.

  A number of recovery devices are already known

  corresponding to the description above. In particular, he is known at

  through document FR-A-2.613.408, a rollable covering device for containers, in particular for swimming pools, comprising a cover sheet over which transverse sleeves are designed to accommodate bars reinforcement in the form of tubes of circular section. In particular, one of the transverse edges of this cover sheet receives, inside a sheath, a transverse reinforcing bar whose at least one end is projecting, laterally, with respect to the longitudinal edge of said cover sheet. This protruding end of said reinforcing bar further comprises an operating square on which can be engaged a driving mechanism, such as an angle gear enabling the rotation of said bar to be rotated. winding of the covering device via

  Be that as it may, during the winding maneuver, the various transverse reinforcing bars extending above the cover sheet represent a succession of obstacles that must be crossed. In the end, it is particularly difficult to systematically cross the already wound portion of the covering device each of these obstacles constituted by a transverse reinforcement bar and it is necessary to provide on the crank constituting the drive means in rotation, a particularly important effort. In case of motorized winding, it is obvious, again, that it is necessary to provide motor means sufficiently powerful so that they are able to overcome the resistance to winding that provide these obstacles. It is still known from FR-A-2,637,643 a recovery device in all respects similar to that just described, but which provides, however, to have the reinforcing bars under the cover sheet, in sheaths equipping the latter at its lower face. This solution makes it possible to respond to the problem posed in that where the covering sheet is wound up, the latter is free of obstacles, avoiding the

  successive crossings previously reported.

  However, being precisely arranged under the cover sheet, these reinforcement bars are interposed between the latter and the edge of the basin, thereby promoting the passage of detritus, dead leaves or other under the covering device. However, in case of use as wintering cover, these recovery devices have the main function to prevent these leaves and other falling back to

inside the pool.

  In order to meet this problem, it is provided, according to this document FRA-2.637.643, to equip the ends of the tubular sections constituting the transverse reinforcement bars with eccentric flat portions. It should be noted, moreover, that at these bearing areas of the covering device on the borders of the basin, these ends of said transverse reinforcing bars can pass above the cover sheet. The problem with such a design is, of course, its cost. In particular, in the case where the flat ends of the transverse reinforcement bars are obtained by deformation of the profile which constitutes them, it results in constraints on the nature of the material used or in the thickness of the walls composing the profile. Naturally, it is necessary to have tools capable of creating this deformation. In some cases, it is intended to end at the ends of the reinforcing bars end caps, for example synthetic material, having an eccentric flat. Again, the design and assembly of these tips represent additional operations that

  increase the cost price of the recovery device.

  Finally, FR-A-2.690.943 discloses a covering device similar to those described above, but whose cover sheet is of the modular type and consists of covering elements whose transverse edges are equipped rods capable of being inserted into groove profiles of substantially circular section constituting transverse reinforcing bars. Such a design which more satisfies the disadvantages of the one-piece cover sheet in the event of a tear does not satisfy, for

  as much, to the problem posed previously.

  Thus, the grooves able to accommodate the transverse rods equipping the covering elements, are located on either side and substantially in the horizontal median plane of the profiles constituting said reinforcing bars. Also, at the level of the support zones at the edge of the basin, there persists between them and the cover sheet a space allowing the passage of waste and the like. In addition, these grooved sections again create obstacles transversely to the winding direction of the covering device, which obstacles are particularly difficult to overcome, especially when this result must be obtained by force of the

  wrist via a crank.

  The present invention proposes to remedy all the

aforementioned drawbacks.

  For this purpose, the invention relates to a rollable covering device intended, in particular, to cover a pool, such as a pool, comprising, on the one hand, a flexible cover sheet with dimensions preferably adapted to those of the pool to be covered and, on the other hand, reinforcing bars arranged transversely and to which said covering sheet is made integral, characterized in that said reinforcement bars are constituted by sections of approximately triangular section comprising, on the one hand, a base through which these profiles are intended to rest at the edge of the basin to be covered and, secondly, at least one side, located on the opposite side to the winding direction of the covering device, forming

  with the base an acute angle lower than 70.

  According to another characteristic of the present invention, the reinforcement bars are engaged in sleeves arranged transversely on

  the upper face of the cover sheet.

  In addition, according to the invention, the profile constituting a reinforcing bar is a grooved profile comprising a groove extending substantially along the longitudinal edges of said base of the profile, said grooves being able to receive a rod equipped each of the transverse edges of sections of overlapping sheets lying between two

successive reinforcing bars.

  Preferably, at least the reinforcing bars located on the side of the first half of the cover sheet, this with respect to the winding direction of the latter, respect, among themselves, a

  distance between 1.2 and 1.3 meters.

  The advantages resulting from the present invention consist, essentially, in that because of the particular configuration of the transverse reinforcement bars, they no longer create, as before, obstacles that simply need to be crossed. Indeed, the roll that is the length of the already wound cover sheet comes, in this case, in contact with the inclined side of a reinforcing bar and, continuing the winding movement, the roll instead of passing simply above said reinforcing bar, causes the latter to tilt in the winding direction so

  that it offers only a lesser resistance to the progression in progress.

  It is obvious in these conditions, that the maneuvers, when executed manually, prove more convenient and, above all, easier. In case of motorization, the motor is less stressed at each passage over a transverse reinforcement bar so that its power and therefore its weight can be smaller besides the consumption of electrical energy is also more low. This represents a particular advantage in case of power supply

  autonomous electric, for example, using a battery.

  Finally, by choosing a well-defined spacing between the reinforcement bars being located, in particular, in the upstream portion of the cover sheet, this with respect to the winding direction, it is possible to ensure a better distribution of these reinforcing bars around the winding shaft, so that the roll that gradually forms the cover sheet during operation is more cylindrical. It is obvious that an ovoid shape makes

  again, the maneuver difficult because of a progression by blows.

  Other objects and advantages of the present invention will be apparent from

  course of the following description relating to a mode of

  realization which is given only as an indicative and non-limiting example.

  The understanding of this description will be facilitated by referring to

  drawing attached in the appendix and wherein: - Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of a recovery device according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a schematic and elevational view of this covering device; - Figure 3 is a schematic view of the recovery device during winding; - Figure 4 is a schematic representation, partial and in section illustrating a section constituting a reinforcement bar, according to the invention, engaged in a sleeve sewn on the upper face of the cover sheet; FIG. 5 is a representation, in elevation, of a section constituting a reinforcement bar according to the invention and corresponding to a

  preferential embodiment.

  We refer to the various figures of the attached drawing.

  As represented in FIG. 1, the present invention relates to a covering device 1 more particularly intended for basins 2 of the pool type or the like. In this regard, it should be noted that the shape of this basin may be arbitrary and that the covering device 1 is not limited to the shape

  parallelepiped more specifically shown in Figure 1.

  Thus, this covering device 1 comprises a covering sheet 3 of flexible material, for example of an optionally composite synthetic material. In fact, such a cover sheet may have different structures depending on the purpose. Thus, it can be in the form of a net with more or less fine mesh if, through the covering device, one simply seeks to prevent dirt, such as dead leaves or the like, from falling back into the This cover sheet 3 may also be transparent or translucent or, conversely, completely opaque. In any event, the present invention is not limited in any way to the configuration, materials, or even the particular function to be performed by said cover sheet 3. The covering device 1 further comprises , reinforcement bars 4 arranged transversely and to which the cover sheet 3 is secured. The ends 5, 6 of these reinforcement bars 4

  lie, moreover, on the longitudinal edges 7 and 8 of the basin 2.

  It should be observed that one of the transverse edges 10 of the cover sheet 3 is further secured to a winding bar 12 of generally cylindrical section, on which is intended to wind the sheet of 3. More specifically, this winding bar 12 can be equipped, at at least one of its ends 13, with a driving square 14 on which can be threaded a

  drive mechanism (not shown) with manual or motorized control.

  Note that in case of motorized rotation drive of the winding bar 12, the motor means can still take a position to

  the interior of said bar so that its section is sufficient.

  It should be noted, moreover, that, contrary to the representation of FIG. 2, this winding bar 12 is not necessarily located at the very end of the cover sheet 3. Thus, a portion of the sheet may possibly extend the latter beyond this winding bar 12, in particular for the purpose of adjusting the length of said cover sheet 3 to that of the basin 2. However, according to the invention, this adjustment in length, the sheet of overlap 3 takes place, preferably, at its opposite end 15 with respect to said winding bar 12. Thus, said cover sheet 3 can be extended by a section of tarpaulins 16 beyond

  the last transverse reinforcement bar 4, located at its end 15.

  This adjustment in length of this cover sheet 3 with respect to the length of the basin 2 can also be obtained by adjusting accordingly, the spacing between two successive reinforcement bars 4 or between the first reinforcement bar 4 and the bar 12. However, according to the invention, at least the reinforcing bars 4 located, with respect to the winding direction 17, in the first half 18 of the cover sheet 3, respect between them, a spacing included between 1.2 and 1.3 meters, preferably between 1.22 and 1.27 meters. Ultimately, this distance between the reinforcement bars 4 is respected throughout the cover sheet 3, except between the last two or three reinforcement bars 4A, 4B, 4C if it is necessary that the spacing between the latter is modified to adjust the length of the cover sheet 3 to that of the basin 2. The advantages resulting from such a configuration are that during winding of the cover sheet 3, it is possible, a distribution approximately regular of these reinforcement bars 4 around the winding bar 12, as shown in Figure 3, so that the roll 19 that gradually creates this wrapping device 1 wound, has a generally cylindrical shape whose progressions the

  along the borders 7, 8, of the basin 2 are facilitated.

  Specifically, for the purpose of facilitating the winding operation of this covering device 1, the reinforcement bars 4, extending transversely above the cover sheet 3, are formed by sections of approximately triangular section. comprising a base 20 through which such a reinforcing bar 4 is intended to rest on the borders 7 and 8 of the basin 2. Therefore, this base 20 is preferably flat. In addition and according to the invention, this profile comprises at least one side 21, located on the opposite side to the winding direction 17, forming with said base 20 an acute angle 22 less than 70. As for the side 23 completing this triangular section of the profiles constituting the reinforcing bars 4, its configuration can be any. However, for reasons of mechanical strength, it will preferably extend approximately

  perpendicular to the base 20.

  As for the inclined side 21 it is not necessarily plane, as shown in Figure 4, but it can also be concave or convex. This last solution, more particularly represented in FIG. 5, has the advantage of increasing the inertia of this profile and,

  finally, improve its mechanical strength.

  In addition, this triangular configuration of the profile, according to the invention, can lead to a shift of its center of gravity G with respect to the vertical median plane P. Or, to avoid the risk of tilting of said profile under the impulse of a pressure applied to the covering device 1, it is advantageously provided to define the thickness of the walls corresponding to the sides 21 and 23 so that their respective weight limits or cancels the shift of said center of gravity G with respect to said vertical plane P. Thus, as shown in Figure 5, the wall corresponding to the side 21 is defined substantially thicker, especially in its lower part to obtain the desired result. In addition, the side 23 can also be chosen slightly convex, as shown in Figure 5, to increase the inertia of the profile

  defining a reinforcement bar 4.

  Thus, as shown in Figure 3, during the progression of the roller 19 that is the portion of the cover sheet 3 already wrapped around the winding bar 12, the roller 19 more easily passes such a reinforcing bar 4, according to the invention, insofar as this roller 19 is no longer obliged to completely bypass said reinforcing bar 4 but relying on the slope defined by the inclined side 21, it causes the tilting of this reinforcing bar 4 around the stop defined by the vertical side 23 and the base 20. This winding operation of the covering device 1, according to the invention is carried out, as it were, with a certain continuity

  making the manipulations more convenient.

  In the context of Figure 4, there is illustrated a transverse reinforcement bar according to the invention, engaged in a sheath 25 sewn transversely over a cover sheet 3. It is thus seen that the base 20 of the profile that constitutes a reinforcing bar 4 is thus substantially in the same horizontal plane as said cover sheet 3. It is obvious in such a configuration that there are no openings between the edges 7 , 8 of the basin 2 and said cover sheet 3, able to promote the passage of detritus, the

type dead leaves or others.

  The configuration according to FIG. 5 differs in that a reinforcement bar 4 is constituted by a grooved profile to which the transverse edges 26, 27, fitted with a rod 28, sections of cover sheets 29 are secured. extending precisely between two successive reinforcement bars 4. More particularly, on both sides, this groove profile comprises a groove 30, 30A able to accommodate such a rod 28 and extending, preferably, along each of the longitudinal edges 31, 32 of the base 20. Again, this configuration ensures that the cover sheet 3 and said base 20 of these sections constituting the reinforcement bars 4, lie substantially in the same horizontal plane, limiting the infiltration of detritus or other to

inside the basin 2.

  It should be noted that in such a case, said reinforcing bars 4 rest directly at their ends 5, 6, on the edges 7, 8, of the basin 2. Since the reinforcement bars 4 are preferentially of the metallic type and, more particularly, of aluminum, it appears desirable to dress, at least their ends 5,

  6, at their base 20, a protective sole 33.

  It is designed, preferably, in a synthetic material and can be fixed by any means known to those skilled in the art applied to this base 20 reinforcing bars 4. However, so as to limit the assembly operations and , Of course, the cost of a covering device 1, said flanges 33 are advantageously in the form of profiles able to come and slip on the ends 5, 6 of these reinforcement bars 4 by coming hold on on the longitudinal edges 31, 32 of the base 20. claims   1. Rollable covering device intended, in particular, to cover a basin (2), such as a swimming pool, comprising, on the one hand, a flexible cover sheet (3) with dimensions preferably adapted to those of the basin (2) to cover and, on the other hand, reinforcement bars (4) arranged transversely and to which is secured to said cover sheet (3), characterized in that said reinforcing bars (4) are constituted by section sections approximately triangular comprising, on the one hand, a base (20) through which these profiles are intended to rest on the edge (7, 8) of the basin (2) to be covered and, on the other hand, at least one side (21) situated on the opposite side to the winding direction (17) of the covering device (1), forming, with the base (20), an acute angle (22) less than 70.   2. covering device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the reinforcing bars (4) are engaged in sleeves (25) arranged transversely on the upper face of the cover sheet (1).   3. Covering device according to any one of   preceding claims, characterized by the fact that   the thickness of the sides (21) and (23) corresponding to the profile defining a reinforcement bar (4), the weight of said sides (21) and (23) is thus determined to limit or cancel the shift between the center of gravity   (G) of said profile and its vertical median plane (P).   8. Covering device according to claim 10, characterized in that the protective soleplate (33) is in the form of a section of synthetic material capable of being threaded on the ends (5, 6) of the bars of reinforcement (4) coming to grip the edges   longitudinal members (31, 32) of the base (20).   12. Covering device according to claim 11, characterized in that at the base (20) of a profile constituting a reinforcing bar (4) is arranged at least one groove at <T) (34) to even to accommodate a rib (35) of conjugate form equipping a sole of   protection (33) of profiled synthetic material.
