Abstract

The bowl comprises a bowl body having a bottom on an upper surface of which an inner circumferential side wall is formed and extending toward a top side of said bowl body to define a first food containing space. An outer circumferential side wall is mounted to and surrounding the inner circumferential side wall to define a circumferential groove between to surround. The first food contain space fills a fluid which prevents ants from getting into the first food containing space. The outer side wall has an outer surface which is inclined to diverge toward the top side of said bowl body.

  Plates and similar utensils are commonly used to hold food. One of the problems encountered when using food containers without a lid is that

  that food placed in the open container can attract insects, such as ants, especially when the meal is taken outdoors. Ants that are attracted to food can contaminate food.

  One way to prevent ants from entering the food container is to cover the food with

  However, since these plastic films are generally not recycled, they can constitute pollution of the environment and, possibly, cause

  degradation of human resources.

  It is therefore desirable to design a food container comprising ant-ant means in order to

  overcome the problems mentioned above.

  With a view to achieving this goal, an anti-ant plate is provided according to the invention comprising a plate body having a flat bottom and an inner side wall formed on the periphery of said plate body extending from from the flat bottom in an ascending manner and so as to delimit with said flat bottom a first food space, and an outer side wall integral with the inner side wall and extending so as to form therewith a peripheral groove intended to receive a fluid preventing ants from entering the

first food space.

  The plate thus formed makes it possible to prevent the arrival of insects such as ants in contact with the food without it being necessary to cover the plate

  The outer side wall is advantageously inclined relative to the inner side wall, so that the peripheral groove is V-shaped. According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, a peripheral skirt extends from the periphery of the bottom flat in the extension of the inner side wall so as to delimit with the flat bottom a second food space, said peripheral skirt having a terminal end from which extends the outer side wall to a level below that of

  The skirt 8 also serves to delimit with the flat bottom 4 of the plate 10 a second food space 11 which can be used to receive and protect food when the plate 10 rests upside down. Preferably, the outer side wall 1 extends at a level substantially lower than that of the inner side wall 2, so that, when the plate 10 is used upside down, only the terminal opening 6 of the first food space is in contact with the support surface (not shown) and the distance between this support surface and the second food space 10 is lengthened to prevent ants
