Abstract

The motor cycle safety device is in three main parts: a control box fitted to the motor cycle, contact switches in the helmet, and a connecting cable.The control box has two indicator lamps, one showing 'standby' mode when the motor cannot be started and the other showing 'ready' mode when the rider has the helmet properly fitted. In 'ready' mode the motor can be started. There are also three auxiliary lamps fitted to the rear of the helmet and connected to the electrical system of the motor cycle through the connecting cable. The central lamp is red and is connected to the stop lamp, while the outer lamps are yellow and connected to the turn indicators.
