Abstract

Device for facilitating reading in bed. The invention relates to a transparent bookrest which the user can, when lying down, set up over his head at the desired height and angle, and then remove it without getting up. The device comprises: 1) a stand (H, L, T) which usually stands at the head of the bed; 2) a detachable extensible bracket (P) formed by a rod (R) which fits inside a bent tube (F) and can be quickly mounted on a stand (T) before lying down; 3) a transparent plate (A) with a hole (D) which the reader, when lying down, can fit over the tube (F) down which it is slid before being jammed cantilever-fashion at the desired point (K).
