Device forming a seal for windows which slide in relation to a support structure, particularly a vehicle supporting structure having a rebate 2 with an internal face 2a and an external face 2b, on which external face there are provided anchoring elements 5, and intended to be mounted on the front with respect to the supporting structure and automatically, the said seal comprising two respectively internal 3 and external 4 parts capable of trapping the said window 1 between them in a sealed fashion whilst allowing it to slide freely and including means for fixing the said seal to the said anchoring elements 5 of the rebate 2 as well as means for lining the said internal face 2a of the rebate, characterised in that the said means for lining the said internal face 2a of the rebate 2 consist of elements 6, 7 which can be folded down and which are produced on the lateral edge of the internal part 3 and are adapted so as not to hinder the frontal mounting.
