Description

 The present invention relates to a composition in the form of a transparent gel containing grains or particles of fresh or dry plants, to its preparation process and to its use in cosmetology, in hygiene, in particular dental, and in pharmacy.

 Plants have long been used for their different properties; indeed, these relieve ailments, heal, stimulate the various physiological functions, have properties including antiseptics and also properties useful in cosmetology.

 At present, there are many drugs, hygiene products as well as herbal cosmetology products. They consist of either dry plants, or fresh crushed plants, suspended in alcohol or another solvent, or macerated and then filtered plants, or plant extracts obtained by distillation or concentration, or even extracts obtained by expression and filtration.

 Another treatment of fresh plants is also known, comprising freezing and then cryomilling, described in the French Patent Application published under No. 2,591,891, of December 23, 1985, in the name of the Applicant.

 Many compositions of convenient and easy use such as creams, pastes and ointments can contain dry or fresh plants treated as described above and be used in cosmetology, hygiene and pharmacy.

 However, such compositions do not make it possible to assess the quantity, the quality of the plants introduced nor their stability, to the naked eye; however, such an assessment makes it possible in particular to visualize any degradations due to storage and transport, for example between the preparation of the composition and its sale to the public. This appreciation has a real advantage, especially with regard to drugs or toothpaste, for the use of such products in the best conditions.

 Example I: Process for the preparation of a transparent gel for toothpaste.
