Procédé de fabrication d'un récipient parallélépipédique à partir d'un flan. Selon l'invention, les côtés 2 sont pliés perpendiculairement au fond et leurs bords sont soudés par des sonotrodes 4. Applications : obtention de récipients étanches à coins renfoncés.

Description

PROCEDE DE FABRICATION DE BOITES OU ANALOGUES
La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication de bottes parallélépipédiques, notamment de bottes à biscuit, ainsi que les bottes obtenues selon ce procédé, à partir d'une feuille de matière thermoplastique.
On sait que les matières thermoplastiques présentent la propriété de pouvoir soit être moulées par injection, soit être conformées par une opération de thermoformage. Lors de cette dernière opération, la matière est étirée généralement entre un piston mobile et un moule fixe. Par suite, certaines parties présentent une épaisseur moindre et celà peut poser des problèmes pour les pièces de grandes dimensions, alors que le résultat est tout-à-fait satisfaisant pour les petits récipients tels que les pots de yaourt.
La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication d'un corps de récipient ou botte, utilisant les propriétés physiques des matières synthétiques telles que le polystyrène ou le polyéthylène.
Selon-la présente invention, le procédé de fabrication d'une botte ou analogue est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à - découper un flan comprenant un fond et des côtés latéraux, - replier les côtés perpendiculairement au fond, - souder les bords latéraux des côtés par ultrasons.
Il est ainsi possible d'obtenir à grande cadence une boîte étanche, éventuellement de grandes dimensions.
Selon une autre caractéristique de l'invention, l'espace entre ltélectrode ou sonotrode et l'enclume est supérieur à l'épaisseur d'un côté.
Ainsi, les coins de la botte sont renforcés, ce qui est très favorable à la tenue mécanique du récipient.
D'autres caractéristiques et avantages de la présente invention apparaîtront au cours de la description qui va suivre-d'un mode particulier de réalisation, donné uniquement à titre d'exemple non limitati-f, en regard des dessins qui représentent - la figure.1, une vue en perspective du flan - la figure 2, une vue en perspective de la botte
parallélépipédique lors de sa constitution-; -la figure 3, une vue par-dessus d'un angle de la boîte ~ - la figure 4, une vue en perspective d'un coin de la botte.
Sur la figure 1, le flan, en matière thermoplastique, est la surface développée d'un parallélépipède. Il comprend un fond I dans le plan duquel s'étendent quatre côtés 2. Le flan est introduit dans une presse chauffante qui plie les côtés 2 perpendiculairement au fond 1, le long des lignes de pliage 3.
A la sortie de la presse (non représentée), la boîte présente sa forme parallélépipédique définitive, le dessus étant ouvert.
L'étape suivante consiste dans la soudure des bords latéraux des côtés 2, à l'aide de sonotrodes ou électrodes emettant des ultrasons 4.
On sait que les ultrasons provoquent une agitation des molécules de la matière "bombardée", ce qui se traduit par une élévation de la température et une fusion partielle permettant une soudure autogène entre deux flasques de matière plastique.
Sur la figure 3, deux côtés adjacents 2 sont disposés entre une sonotrode 4 et une enclume ou contre-électrode 5 métallique. De préférence, la sonotrode 4 présente dans sa partie avant, deux faces déterminant un angle droit 8 qui va servir à mouler l'angle, l'enclume 5 provoquant un pan coupé 9 perpendiculaire à la bissectrice de l'angle droit 8. L'un des côtés 2 est légèrement plus long que le second, de manière à constituer une réserve de matière.
Après application des ultrasons, on obtient un coin 7 présentant une surépaisseur de renforcement, l'arête extérieure du coin étant extrêmement nette et propre, ce qui évite toute opération d'ébavurage ultérieure.
Il va de soi que de nombreuses variantes peuvent être introduites notamment par substitution de moyens techniquement équivalents sans pour autant sortir du cadre de l'invention.

Claims (2)

REVENDICATIONS
1. Procédé de fabrication d'une botte ou analogue dont la
paroi latérale comporte au moins un angle, caractérisé en
ce qu'il consiste à
- découper un flan de matière plastique présentant un
fond (1) et au moins une surface latérale (2),
- replier la surface latérale (2) autour d'une ligne de
pliage (3) dans une presse chauffante
- souder par ultrasons les bords de la surface
latérale (2).
2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que
l'un des bords à souder est plus long que le bord adjacent
de manière à constituer une réserve de matière fondue entre
une sonotrode (4) formant un angle droit (8) et une enclume
présentant un pan coupé (9).
