Abstract

Container-support for food compositions such as sandwiches or pastries. The invention relates to a device making it possible to eat sandwiches without getting dirty by means of a container-support intended to collect the debris and sauces which escape from them and to keep the ingredients forming them in position. It is constituted by a container 1 comprising a bottom 2 and a rim 3, open at one end 4 and held firmly with a part of the food assembly during eating, possibly by inclination of the edges, by means of loops 5 or rims. The device is particularly intended for containing fast food specialities.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for eating food sets, such as sandwiches or pastries, without getting stained, because it collects food debris and sauces which escape from it at the time of tasting; at the same time it improves the retention of the ingredients that compose it.

Currently, sandwiches are more and more garnished with minced food, layered, and coated with sauces, which makes them difficult to eat, because under the pressure of the teeth, part of their content inevitably escapes.

Fast food, sometimes sells such sandwiches in boxes, usable as mini plates, which does not prevent debris from spreading all around. Others are held by a strip of cardboard a few centimeters wide, which does not prevent the contents from spreading.

In addition, there is no system intended to keep the contents of the food unit in place when it is consumed.

The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy these drawbacks, whatever the form or the composition of the sandwiches or pastries, by virtue of a support container held integral with the food assembly at the time of its tasting.

 I1 consists of a bottom of dimension shorter than that of the part to be tasted, and of a rim preferably higher than the upper layer of the contents of the sandwich, and forming a bowl on only part of the bottom.

There is thus a place to receive part of the Sandwich, while the other end is left free for tasting.

 I1 then suffices to hold the assembly, container and sandwich in the hand, and to move the latter inside its housing, to release a new free part as and when required, and taste without risk of scattering. debris since the ingredients and sauces are collected by the receptacle, which the consumer maintains, in a natural gesture in a generally inclined position.

To be integral with the sandwich, the device may include a handle, or a top, preferably partial, having the effect of
block the food assembly in its housing, or act by pressing the edge on the sides of the sandwich while allowing

The shape and dimensions of such a device can be variable compared to a sandwich, if it is only a question of preventing the fall of debris.

However, in order to keep the ingredients in place, the edges of the device must conform to the lateral contour of the food assembly, to obstruct the parts left open on the ingredients.

To refine the device, the bottom may include a concave rounding on the part left free of the bottom. Likewise, the handle, on the upper part of the device, is slightly recessed with respect to the free end of the receptacle, these arrangements make it possible to avoid visually identifiable contact with the receptacle in the mouth and face by the overflow of the sides thus projecting from the assembly.

Alternatively, the device may be an integral part of a box forming a complete package, which when opened is dissociated from a container, corresponding to the characteristics and functions of one invention
This device can be made of many materials, in particular cardboard or by molding process, or from a cardboard blank.

The device according to the invention is particularly intended to improve the conditions for tasting fast food specialties, such as "hamburger sandwich".
