Abstract

For the purpose of separately holding at least two different charged substances, the transition part (5) between two pot parts (2, 3), with its intermediate areas (5a) over only a part of its extent, has surfaces (14) lying in a plane with the upper side of the edge flange (4). At least one depression (16), opening or recess is advantageously provided in the intermediate areas (5a) of the transition part (5). One pot part expediently has on its side facing the swivel line (S), at least in the area of its upper edge, a cross-sectional form narrowing in the direction of the swivel line (S). The container is suitable in particular for charged substances which are to be eaten, such as, for example, yogurt in the one pot part and fruit syrup in the other pot part. Upon opening, the charged substances can be brought into contact with one another simply by swivelling the smaller pot part, for example, about the swivel line (S), i.e. without additional assistance.

Description

The present invention relates to a plastic container in the form of cups, closable by means of a film, cover, cap, or the like, usable in particular as non-reusable packaging, comprising two compartments of different dimensions used to house products such as , simultaneously, a dairy product, dessert or the like, and an accessory product, these two compartments being joined by an upper contiguous part forming a body with a peripheral flange and subdivided into internal zones, but having their own walls and conformation ranging mainly tapering from top to bottom, said contiguous part of the two buckets being shaped so as to allow the small bucket to be inclined relative to the largest, one of the buckets in particular having, on its face facing the line d 'inclination and at least in the region of its upper end, a shaped section tapering towards the adite tilt line
Such containers are required to keep separate, until use or consumption, products of different nature, because the conformation of the container allows, in this case, simply mix the product contained in a scoop, yogurt by example, to that contained in the other, a fruit syrup for example, by raising the small cup, after having removed the cover, to make its contents flow in the other cup. To this end, the adjoining part is advantageous. - presently shaped so as to present, in the vicinity of the inclination line, a weakening or bending zone, which can be done in various ways
The closure of the container is advantageously carried out by a sheet-like element, such as a film of metallic and / or synthetic material, applied to the peripheral flange of the container and then fixed thereto by gluing., Sealing, or analogous process. A vertically movable tool is usually used for this purpose, for example a sealing plate, compressing the sealing element against the peripheral flange of the container. With the usual tools, this application and compression is generally exerted over the entire surface. application so that the sealing element is not only applied and sealed on the flange and on the flange joining the two cups but on the entire surface of the joining piece
The object of the present invention is to develop and improve a container in the form of buckets of the aforementioned type, in particular with a view to achieving perfect sealing, in particular with the available or usual means.

figure 3, représentant un second mode de réalisation
The invention provides that, in a cup-shaped container as defined above, the contiguous part and its intermediate zones will only have surfaces located in the same plane as the upper face of the flange over part of their extent.
In other words, it will not be the entire surface of the contiguous part and its intermediate zones, but only part or certain zones of this surface inside its external contour, which will be located in the same plane that the upper face of the collar
According to suitable embodiments of the invention, one or more cavities, or one or more recesses or passages or the like, are provided in the intermediate zones of the contiguous part.
The result obtained by the conformation, according to the invention, of the container is that the obturation element only touches and joins the receptacle at the desired points which are essential for reliable obturation, but not in the annexed zones. It follows also that when the closure element is applied by means of a tool working with a given force, a :: sealing plate for example, the specific pressure on the areas of the upper face of the container which are essential at the junction will be more strong compared to other cases
Other characteristics, features and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which follows, of two exemplary embodiments, made with reference to the appended drawings in which - FIG. 1 is a side view of a first mode of
embodiment of a container according to the invention - Figure 2 is a top view of the container of the
Figure I - Figure 3 is a section along line III-III of
Figure 2; and - Figure 4 is a section similar to that of the
Figure 3, showing a second embodiment
of a container according to the invention e
The container 1, shown in the drawings, is made of synthetic material and produced, for example, by compression molding. it comprises a large-sized bucket 2 and a smaller bucket 3, the orifices of which are each surrounded by a flange forming a flange 4, of external contour, for example circular.

Each cup has, on its lateral faces, a stacking rim 11
The large bucket 2 has a cross section approximately in the form of a semicircle bounded by a straight line 2a and tapers towards its bottom. The small bucket 3 also tapers towards its bottom and has an approximately trough-shaped section.
The two buckets have their own walls but are joined together by an upper joining piece 5 comprising intermediate zones 5a and a fold initiation zone 8 (along the line in points and lines S of FIG. 2) formed, for example, by a groove 9 hollowed out in the underside of the joining piece (FIGS. 3 and 4) and reducing at this point, by half or as much as desired, the wall thickness of the joining piece the flange 4 and the adjoining part 5 constitute flat bearing surfaces for a closure element covering the two buckets 2 and 3 and at the same time insulating their respective cells from each other
This sealing element may be constituted for example by a film forming a cover 6 of aluminum or other metal or synthetic material, indicated by a line in dots and lines in Figures 1, 3 and 4
This closure element 6 therefore rests only on the marginal flange 4 and on the identical faces 14 of flanges or cords located in the same plane as this flange, while the other parts of the joining piece, in particular its intermediate zones 5a, will not offer such bearing surfaces. In the embodiment of Figures 1 to 3, this result is obtained by means of cavities 16 formed in the intermediate zones 5a and whose upper faces 16a are thus below upper faces of the parts 4 or 14 constituting the bearing surface of the closure element, as clearly shown in FIG. 3. In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, openings or recesses 17 are provided in the adjoining part 5 or in its intermediate zones Sa so as to provide no support at these points for the obturation element.
In several points, the periphery of the intermediate zones Sa of the contiguous part has concavities 7 giving rise to recesses offering the fingers, at the opening of the container, a good grip on a circular shutter element 6 covering the container
To bring the contents of the container together before use or consumption, the cover 6 is first torn off, which is easy given the shape of the container as described above. We can then raise the small bucket 3 in the direction of the arrow F in FIG. 1 and rotate it along the line S, thus causing the material of the joining piece 5 to fold in point 8. The content of small cup 3 then flows into large cup 2
All the characteristics mentioned in the foregoing description, or represented in the appended drawings, must, insofar as the known state of the art allows, be considered, individually or in various combinations, as belonging to the field of invention
