Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and a device for filling and closing a double-chambered cup according to the preamble of claims 1 and 8, respectively. Furthermore, the invention relates to a double-chambered cup made from deep-drawn plastic according to the preamble of claim 16.
- the chambers to be filled with different filling goods are provided with an intermediate film covering the respective first filled chamber, the second chamber is filled without influencing the sterility of the filling material located in the first chamber, and then the double chamber cup as a whole closed a lid film, so that the effort in the production of such a double chamber cup with intermediate film increases and recycling can be adversely affected by additional material differences.
- the invention addresses the problem of a method and to create a device according to the preamble of claim 1 or 8 and a double-chamber cup according to the preamble of claim 16, which enable filling of the second container chamber in each case without influencing sterility of the aseptically filled first chamber with reduced effort.
- the method according to the invention makes it possible to provide a uniform, advantageously one-piece cover film material for covering the first chamber of the double-chamber cup filled with the first filling material under aseptic conditions and the subsequently filled second chamber, so that after a continuous process sequence with only one partial seal the filled double chamber cup is provided with a full seal in the area of the two chambers.
- This means that filling with unaffected filling goods can be achieved without an additional film supply which increases the production and operating costs and the effort required for sterile packaging of the double-chamber cup can be limited to a few processing phases.
- the double-chamber cup formed from rolling cup film can be completely covered with the cover film after the chambers have been formed and the aseptic filling of the first chamber, since the downstream separation station advantageously enables the double-chamber cup and the cover-conforming cover film to be separated.
- this feed phase only one chamber is filled and sealed tightly via the first partial seal, so that the second chamber can then be filled and covered with little technical effort outside the sterile area.
- the cover film in the area of the sterile tunnel, is brought into support engagement over both chambers of the double-chamber cup, so that both the border of the cup and the cover film lying in this area, which is already sealed over the first chamber, lie in the same contour, without any displacements can be cut out.
- the device is also provided with individual parts which enable the unsealed cover film area to be subsequently lifted, so that the cover film material can advantageously be swiveled with little effort using its elasticity in the area of a sealing edge formed by the first partial seal so that the second chamber is freely accessible and so that the filling of the chamber is accessible without additional aids.
- the double-chamber cup designed according to the invention with the one-piece cover film, has a chamber cover which is provided in the area between the two chambers on a connecting part with separate, here parallel sealing seams, which can advantageously be formed independently of one another and facilitate the handling of the double-chamber cup when used as intended, so that the cover film is sufficiently tight both during transport and can be completely removed with little effort during an opening movement.
- the device 1 shows a device, generally designated 1, for filling and closing a double chamber cup 2 (FIG. 5), which can be filled with different filling goods in the region of its chambers 3, 4.
- the device 1 is designed as a processing unit which forms the double-chamber cup 2 from a continuously supplied base film 5 and a cover from a continuously supplied cover film 6.
- the bottom film 5 is guided via an immersion bath 8 into a sterile tunnel 9, in which a cup formation 11 is provided behind a contact heater 10.
- the chambers 3, 4, each forming pairs of the double-chamber cup 2 are formed in the base film 5 and the base film is then moved into a second section of the sterile tunnel 9 '.
- the first chamber 3 of the double-chamber cup 2 is filled in a direction of the arrow 13 via a metering part 12 (FIG. 6).
- the cover film 6 is fed in the feed direction behind the metering part 12. This is sterilized after passing through an immersion bath 14 and a heating plate group 15 evaporating a residual liquid film, and is then in the tunnel area 9 'introduced and connected to the cup film 5 in a connecting device 16 via a seal (not shown) running on the side edges.
- the sterile tunnel 9 or 9 ' Immediately at the exit 17 of the sterile tunnel 9 or 9 ', it opens into a sealing station 18 which receives the composite of formed cup film 5 and cover film 6, in which a cover film region 19 (FIG. 7) located above the filled chamber 3 (FIG. 7) in the region of its sealing edge 20 is sealed.
- the double-chamber cup 2 is thus provided with a first partial sealing and at the same time covered with the cover film in the area of the unsealed chamber 4, so that the double-chamber cup 2 still in a film composite is affected in an unsterile area 21 of the device 1 in the area of the chamber 4 without influencing the sterility can be advanced.
- the double-chamber cup 2 is now detached from the base film composite in the region of a separation station 22, the cup and the cover film 6 being separated from the respective film together and in a form conforming to the cover in the edge region 23 by means of the separation station 22 formed by a punching unit ( Fig. 8).
- a separating tool (not shown), separating forces are introduced in an effective direction illustrated by arrows 24 in such a way that a positional displacement of the cover film 6 above the chambers 3, 4 is reliably avoided and a largely wrinkle-free support is achieved.
- FIG. 2 an enlarged detail illustration shows the device 1, in the conveyor track area 26 of which 25 individual parts are arranged below the metering device, with which the double-chamber cups 2 fed one after the other in a feed direction 30 are exposed in the area of the chamber 4, filled, then repeatedly covered and covered can be closed with a second partial seal.
- a lifting member 27 which brings the respective unsealed cover film region 19 'of the double-chamber cup 2 into an open position is provided directly behind the separating station 22, with which the cover film region 19' can be raised and pivoted in the direction of an arrow 28 (FIG. 9).
- the chamber 4 can be filled in a feed direction 29 without additional aids, the entry of e.g. filling material containing dust-like structures is possible in the chamber 3 without influencing the filling material.
- FIG. 9 shows an enlarged individual illustration of two possible embodiments of the lifting member 27 or 27 'acting on the cover film region 19', which can be formed both by a suction nozzle 35 with a suction cup 34 and an emitter 36 with a plurality of nozzles 37.
- FIG. 2 shows the use of the suction nozzle 35 which pivots up the lid film region 19 'in the direction of the arrow by means of the suction cup 34. It is clear that in the area of the lifting member 27 there is a guide member arranged downstream in the feed direction 30 and at least partially overlapping the raised cover area 19 'and formed by two guide rails 38, 39. With this, the resiliently pivoted cover film region 19 'can be supported during the filling (arrow direction 29) of the chamber 4 in such a way that the metering device 25, which has a metering element, can be used with the smallest possible distance for the filling process.
- the closing member 31 designed as a push rail 41 is expediently provided. This can be displaced in accordance with a direction of movement illustrated by an arrow 42 so that the unsealed cover film region 19 can be placed flush with the edge on the edge flange 20 in the region of the second chamber 4 after the double chamber cup 2 has been filled.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 For a necessary control of the slide rail 41, different movement phases of a drive unit 43 are illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the slide rail 41 is coupled to a wing rake 44 provided for the transport of the double-chamber cups 2 in such a way that the cover film area 19 'behind the guide rails 38, 39 engages behind the slide rail 41 in the covering position (FIG. 11, FIG. 2 ) pivoted and in this position can be inserted into the area of two parallel pressure rails 45, 46 (FIG. 4). With these pressure rails 45, 46 and their respective inlet arches 47, 48, guidance for the cover film region 19 'can be achieved with little effort, so that it remains in its cover position until the double chamber cup 2 enters the sealing station 32.
- FIG. 12 shows an individual illustration of the double-chamber cup 2 with a full seal formed in the area of the cover film 6 after it has passed through the sealing station 32.
- the cover film 6 is connected to the sealing edge 20 with separate sealing seams 50, 51 surrounding the chamber openings 3, 4.
- the connecting part located between the two chamber openings 3, 4 is formed with a web width 53 that receives the two sealing seams 51, 52 (FIG. 13), a course parallel to the edges of the two covered chambers 3, 4 being provided at least in regions.
- the sealing seams 51, 52 are formed on the sealing edge 20 via the successive partial seals (FIG. 1) and their respective contours are adapted to the different cover film areas 19, 19 'parallel to the edge.
- the cup film 5 can be provided with a weakening line 54 designed as a perforation, which divides the web width 53 into two parts of the same width and a predetermined breaking line when using the double chamber cup 2 forms.
- the sealing edge 20 can be provided, at least near the chambers 3, 4, each with a sealing bead shaped as an elevation toward the cover film 6, so that the sealing, while maintaining a reliable seal, is easy to cool when closed and in use of the double chamber cup has an easier to open connection level.
- the area of the cover film 6 lying in the sealing position on the connecting part is also provided with a fold-over line 55 located between the two parallel sealing seams 51, 52 (FIG. 13), in the area of which the disclosure of the chamber 4 (FIG 9) or a pivot axis is formed for the subsequent covering and disadvantageous overloading of the first partial seal in the parallel region of the sealing seam 51 is avoided.
- the connecting part between the two chambers 3, 4 is oriented diagonally in a substantially rectangular basic shape of the double chamber cup 2, the method and the device for filling and closing the double chamber cup 2 not being limited to this cup shape.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and a device for filling and closing a double-chambered cup according to the preamble of
In a known double chamber cup according to
The invention addresses the problem of a method and to create a device according to the preamble of
The method according to the invention makes it possible to provide a uniform, advantageously one-piece cover film material for covering the first chamber of the double-chamber cup filled with the first filling material under aseptic conditions and the subsequently filled second chamber, so that after a continuous process sequence with only one partial seal the filled double chamber cup is provided with a full seal in the area of the two chambers. This means that filling with unaffected filling goods can be achieved without an additional film supply which increases the production and operating costs and the effort required for sterile packaging of the double-chamber cup can be limited to a few processing phases.
With the device designed according to the invention, the double-chamber cup formed from rolling cup film can be completely covered with the cover film after the chambers have been formed and the aseptic filling of the first chamber, since the downstream separation station advantageously enables the double-chamber cup and the cover-conforming cover film to be separated. In this feed phase, only one chamber is filled and sealed tightly via the first partial seal, so that the second chamber can then be filled and covered with little technical effort outside the sterile area.
In an expedient embodiment, in the area of the sterile tunnel, the cover film is brought into support engagement over both chambers of the double-chamber cup, so that both the border of the cup and the cover film lying in this area, which is already sealed over the first chamber, lie in the same contour, without any displacements can be cut out. The device is also provided with individual parts which enable the unsealed cover film area to be subsequently lifted, so that the cover film material can advantageously be swiveled with little effort using its elasticity in the area of a sealing edge formed by the first partial seal so that the second chamber is freely accessible and so that the filling of the chamber is accessible without additional aids.
The double-chamber cup designed according to the invention, with the one-piece cover film, has a chamber cover which is provided in the area between the two chambers on a connecting part with separate, here parallel sealing seams, which can advantageously be formed independently of one another and facilitate the handling of the double-chamber cup when used as intended, so that the cover film is sufficiently tight both during transport and can be completely removed with little effort during an opening movement.

Über ein Dosierteil 12 erfolgt hier die Füllung der ersten Kammer 3 des Doppelkammerbechers 2 in einer Pfeilrichtung 13 (Fig. 6).1 shows a device, generally designated 1, for filling and closing a double chamber cup 2 (FIG. 5), which can be filled with different filling goods in the region of its
In the second area of the sterile tunnel 9 ', the
Immediately at the
In an advantageous embodiment of the
At the exit of the
In FIG. 2, an enlarged detail illustration shows the
Thereafter, in a pivoted position of the
With the double-
Between the end regions of the two
For a necessary control of the
The sealing seams 51, 52 are formed on the sealing
