Abstract

The invention relates to the method of producing a package, allowing the transportation, without risk of incorrect handling and breakage, of fragile flat surfaces such as glass. It is constituted by one or two cardboard panels 1 having upsets at the folding axes 2; the final shape is a volume whose end view represents an isosceles triangle 3; the closure is provided by any currently used means and it consolidates the package and allows manual carrying by an integral handle or slot 4; the injection of expanding polymerising products 5 keeps the contents 6 which are considered to be fragile isolated from all of the sides 1. The method according to the invention is particularly intended for the transportation of fragile flat surfaces such as glass.

Description

DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a packaging production method for transporting fragile flat surfaces such as glass.

The transport of fragile flat surfaces such as glass is traditionally carried out using custom-made boxes or parallelepiped packaging stuffed with wedges or various insulators, which generally results when moving from one geographical point to another, by a significant risk of breakage incumbent entirely on the bearer of the risk, the transporter.

The method according to the invention allows the lifting, in a vertical position, of the content deemed fragile such as glass; from one or two cardboard plates of standard dimensions, on which one or more upsets with variable and determined dimensions have been made according to the dimension (s) of the fragile planar surface (s) to be transported, the cardboard plate (s) will be cut to separate the cardboard surfaces that are not useful for making the packaging; however, cardboard scraps can be kept for the production of other similar packaging.

The process according to the invention then consists in depositing on the base of the packaging an undulating bead of foaming product with polymerizing expansion; during the expansion and polymerization phase, the fragile product to be transported will be protected by any recovery material; the plate of cardboard or the previously assembled cardboard plates will undergo the necessary folds to obtain the closure required by the final shape of the packaging; on each side at the top of the fragile content to be transported, will be deposited by studs or continuously with the product with polymerizing expansion; the two peaks of the packaging will be joined after prior gluing and maintained in pressure by pliers or other clamping system. This pressure maintenance is necessary for the success of the packaging, in fact the foam continuing to expanding will completely stabilize the fragile content already partially embedded on the cord deposited at the base of poly merized repackaging between 70 and 80 °; complete polymerization depending on the products used may vary in duration but it will ensure the total blocking of the fragile content to be transported. Therefore, the packaging is deemed perfect; optionally, cleats can be stapled on either side of the base of the packaging over the entire length; the porting is provided either by slotting previously made in the cardboard plates or by riveting standard rigid or flexible handles. The packaging is not closed at its ends, in fact, a simple vision at the end will make the need for careful handling even more evident; the comfort of handling lies in the ease of manual gripping made easy by the shape of the packaging which can be compared to a travel bag or suitcase; the shape is practically prohibited depositing heavy objects on it without risk of tipping over for the deposited object. The packaging is deemed lost from its design, so its opening will be facilitated by the use of a utensil cutting on the sides of the packaging.
