Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to an apparatus for

add hair removal.

  In the current state of the art, four main means are used to remove excess hair, in particular on the legs, namely: depilatory cream, shaving,

tweezers and wax.

  Depilatory cream and shaving (whether mechanical or electric) are very fast processes but the hair is cut at its base without the root being extracted, which promotes rapid regrowth of hair. Therefore, the cream and shaving to be effective must be practiced every day. Tweezers and wax (whether hot or cold) are tedious processes but the hair is torn off with its bulb, which gives a good result with

  a lasting effect (around three weeks).

  The tweezers require great patience and this pro-

  yielded is generally reserved for the face.

  Hot wax is mainly used in institutes because of its complexity of use; moreover, it expands

  vessels and is therefore not recommended for women with

my blood circulation.

  The present invention relates to a small mechanical device

  which tears the hair with its bulb and this, over a large area.

  It acts like a multitude of tweezers which combines the advantages of the razor (speed and ease of use) and wax ("long-lasting" effectiveness because the hair is torn off with its bulb). The device consists of two main components: a grooved drum; a comb parallel to the axis of the drum in elastic contact

  with the lower part of the grooved drum.

  According to a first embodiment, it is the displacement

  of the grooved drum on the skin to be depilated which causes its rotation.

  According to a second embodiment, it is the displacement of lateral wheels on the skin to be depilated which causes the rotation of the drum, always in contact with the skin, by means of a -2-

  multiplier system which increases the speed of said drum.

  This faster rotation allows greater smoothness

  and more hair growth.

  In both cases, by continuously moving the device over the skin, the hairs penetrate into the grooves of the drum which, by its rotation, presses them against the comb. In

  this position, the hairs are strongly pinched between the sieve

  bour and the comb and are torn off as and when

cement of the device.

  The invention will be better understood from the description which

  Referring to the drawings and according to a first embodiment, it can be seen that the apparatus essentially consists

  a housing 1, open at its lower part, between the flas-

  ques 2 which can rotate a drum 3 whose axis 3 'is per-

pendulum to said flanges.

  The drum 3 cooperates with a comb 4, made integral with the housing, which is applied elastically against said drum and

  marries part of its periphery.

  The drum 3 has grooves 5 extending, pre-

  ference, obliquely to its axis and sparing, between

them, teeth 5 '.

  By applying the device against the skin and moving it according to arrow F1, the rotation of the drum 3 is determined, according to

arrow F2.

  In this case, it is the direct contact of the drum against the - 3 -

skin which determines its rotation.

  According to a second embodiment, the rotation of the drum 3 is obtained by driving it using wheels 6

  as shown in Figures 3 to 5.

  According to this embodiment, each flange 2 has externally an axis 7 for receiving a wheel 6, one of which, at least, has an inner toothing ring 8 in

  taken with a pinion 9 keyed to the axis 10 of the drum 3.

  By moving the apparatus on the skin by means of its wheels 6, the rotation of the drum 3 is determined in the same

  sense than these but at higher speed.

  In the two embodiments, the operation of the device is as follows: the device is moved on the skin according to the arrow F1; during this movement, one or more of the hairs P enters the groove 5a (FIG. 6). By continuing the progression the hair is pushed back by the tooth 5'a under the effect

  of the rotation of the drum against the internal face of the comb 4.

  In this position, the end of the bristle P is strongly pinched between the periphery of the tooth 5'a and the comb 4

(figure 7).

  Continuing to move the device according to arrow F1

  the plucking of the hair considered is determined (FIG. 8).

  Of course, the present invention is not limited to the mo-

  of the embodiments described and represented but extends, on the contrary

  re, in all variants of shapes and dimensions.

Claims (4)

  1-Apparatus for performing hair removal, characterized in that it comprises a grooved and rotary drum (3) against the   lower part of which a flexible comb (4) is applied.   2-Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the grooves of the drum (3) extend obliquely with respect to its axis of rotation.   3-Apparatus according to each of claims 1 and 2, charac-   terized in that the rotation of the drum (3) is controlled   directly by its movement against the skin to be depilated.   4-Apparatus according to each of claims 1 and 2, charac-   terized in that the rotation of the drum (3) is controlled by the displacement of side wheels (6) against the skin to be depilated with the interposition of a speed multiplier system of said drum.
